Sun Dragon: Whoooohooohoo! When you said this Mabu was the best pilot in all of Skylands, you weren't kidding!

The Sun Dragon was on a flying ship headed for Skylanders Academy not too far from the Citadel. The Mabu driving the machine was none other than Flynn, one of the Skylanders longest known allies and a fellow adventurer and enchilada fan like Sun Dragon. Sun Dragon, however, was completely oblivious to Flynn's honestly horrible driving skills. I mean, they're not the worst in Skylands, but Flynn has crashed his aircraft a few times. Flynn has yet to seriously hurt anyone though, including himself, so that's something good to note.

Flynn: Skylanders Academy dead ahead! You might wanna hold on to something. This landing is going to be epic, as always.
Spyro: Oh brother, brace yourself.

Flynn headed straight for the harbor and, at the last possible second, turned the wheel and pulled off a 180°degree turn. The back of the Dreadyaught(that's the ship's name by the way) banged against the wood of the port, but nothing serious otherwise. Flynn was starting to get better after all. Spyro and Sun Dragon walked down the board onto the harbor, though judging from how Spyro was walking he wasn't as resistant to turbulence as Sun Dragon is. Camo would've come too, but a mission came up that needed his "natural expertise." Flipping puns.

Flynn: Another perfect landing by yours truly. BOOM!
Sun Dragon: Thank you dear Flynn! I'll be sure to recommend you to my friends!

Sun Dragon then threw a small leather bag to Flynn, which surprised him. When he looked inside, he was almost blinded by the numerous small jewels within the bag. Flynn didn't even ask for money when flying other people around, let alone the Skylanders. He accepted the money anyway, since it'd be considered rude not to accept such a gracious offer.

Sun Dragon then presided to look at this new place. He saw a large stone building with metal corners and stained glass windows. It was so large, and it wasn't the only building on the landmass. There were smaller buildings around; one Sun Dragon could easily recognized as a library, and another seemed like an observatory judging from the giant telescope on top of it, and other buildings had to be where the hang out spots and dormitories were. There was one spot where some creatures were joyriding some elemental vehicles around, which seemed fun and exciting. He could tell he was going to love it here.

He was at none other then Skylanders Academy, an educational training facility for potential Skylanders and reformed villians.

Spyro: (shakes head) Well, what do you think Sun Dragon? Sorry about Flynn's flying by the way-
Sun Dragon: Oh it's no trouble at all Spyro. I've been on faster rides before and merrily enjoyed them. And as for the Academy, I'd say you Skylander lot know how to make a good first impression!
Spyro: Good to hear! Now, I should get you to one of the Senseis who will help you get enrolled here.
Sun Dragon: So soon Spyro? Why not a tour first, hmm? I'd like to see everything here!
Spyro: Well, we might have to do that to find a Sensei around here. Alot of 'em like to get involved with their students. I might just have to take you to Jet-vac.
Sun Dragon: Let me guess, he's one of the teachers here and he's not what'd you call "the best?" 
Spyro: (snicker) You won't say anything to him will you?
Sun Dragon: Nah. He sounds like someone with pride. He won't hear anything from me lad.

Spyro and Sun Dragon walked to the front grounds of the Academy. The students already there were walking to and fro across the campus. Many of them greeted Spyro happily, since he was already a Skylander now. Spyro decided to show Sun Dragon the library first, so they headed for the medium-sized stone building. The doors were already opened since the students were always coming in and out. Immediately Sun Dragon noticed one student carrying way too many books for someone their size. They almost tripped when Sun Dragon took the front and helped balance the stack.

Sun Dragon: Easy lad, easy. I got cha. Let's put them down now aight?
???: Alright. Thank you.

The two of them then placed the large stack of books down, and that's when Sun Dragon finally got a look at the creature. It was a humanoid fox; that the Sun Dragon could tell from its tail, but then Sun Dragon saw its hair. It had some strands of tentecule-like hair from between its ears. Sun Dragon didn't mind of course; he just never seen that before.

Sun Dragon: There now. You alright lad?
???: Yes, thank you. Are you new here?
Sun Dragon: Well, I suppose you can say that. I'm fixing to enroll here. Call me Sun Dragon. You?
???: Name's Jace. Nice to meet you Sun Dragon.
Spyro: Nice to see you again Jace. Helping Hugo organize books again I see.
Jace: S-Spyro, I didn't see you there! Nice to see you too.
Spyro: Sun Dragon, this is Jace. He's a friend to Flameslinger's family.
Sun Dragon: Is he now? I've known Flameslinger since a little before he became a Skylander you know.
Jace: Yeah?
Sun Dragon: Mm-hmm. Say, Spyro's looking for one of these Sensei Skylanders around here. Have you seen any of them around by chance?
Jace: Well, the last time I saw one was Master Buckshot who teaches an archery class, but that was before Hugo asked me to help him here. I think Master Pit Boss is in the main building though.
Spyro: Thank you, Jace. Say, while I look for Pit Boss, perhaps you wouldn't mind giving Sun Dragon a tour of the Academy would you? Just until I get Sun Dragon enrolled.
Jace: Um, s-sure. I'm almost done here anyway, I guess I could do that.
Sun Dragon: Excellent! Who else to show me around then a student here, eh?

Sun Dragon slapped Jace's back in happiness, almost knocking Jace over. Spyro smiled at the thought of a shy creature like Jace and very active dragon like Sun Dragon spending time together.

Spyro: Sun Dragon's an energetic person, Jace. What'd you expect from a friend of Camo's. See ya later!

As Spyro walked out of the library and then flew off, Jace was wondering just what'd he got himself into.

Sun Dragon: Well Jace, how about we start getting these books to their proper places?
Jace: Um... Okay. Thanks.
Sun Dragon: Here. I'll carry half, you carry half. Just show me where they go.

Jace told Sun Dragon that the books went over on top of the stairway not far from them. Sun Dragon didn't hesitate to run off with his half of the books while Jace just walked. Sun Dragon was like a Chompy in a buffet. When he got to the top of the stairs he almost ran into Hugo, who immediately jumped in surprise holding up a large thick book in defense.

Jace: Here's the books you wanted Hugo.
Hugo: What? Oh, Jace. Sun Dragon. Just place them right here I'll tend to them later.
Jace: Alright. Do you know Sun Dragon?
Hugo: Oh yes. He would just love to prank me like his friend Camo does, but I'm not going to let him. Oh no.
Sun Dragon: Okay Hugo okay. You win. I can't prank you now that I'll be over here for a while. Shake on it?
Hugo:...
Sun Dragon: Don't trust me hm? Okay, you got me.
Jace: Hugo, Spyro asked me to show Sun Dragon around since he's going to be coming here now. Do you still need me?
Hugo: No, you can go. Thank you for helping me today. Just one more thing. Keep him from me till he's in a classroom someplace.
Jace: I'll try. Come on Sun Dragon, I can introduce you to some friends of mine and show you around.
Sun Dragon: Right behind you Jace! See you around Hugo!

(Later)

Spyro had found Master Pit Boss in the main building like Jace said, plus Master Aurora with him. He told them both about Sun Dragon and his wanting to become a Skylander. They were getting the papers ready for Sun Dragon's enrollment into the Skylanders Academy.

Master Pit Boss: Alright. Jussst Sssssun Dragon for a name. Sssspeciesss?
Spyro: Dragon. Oriental dragon to be exact.
Master Aurora: Sounds classy! Age?
Spyro: Um, he never told me that.
Master Pit Boss: That'sss fine, we can asssk him that when we talk to him. Birthplace?
Spyro: ...Don't know that either...
Master Aurora: Dragons do tend to be somewhat secretive. What element is he?
Spyro: Light.
Master Pit Boss: What powersss have you obssserved him perform?
Spyro: I've personally seen him summon fireworks, and Camo says he has the Sunblast ability Camo has. I'm unsure of what else he's capable of.
Master Aurora: Ok. Well, that should be enough for now. We'll need to speak with Sun Dragon to fill in the rest. He should be enrolled by tomorrow afternoon at the latest.
Spyro: Ok then! I left him with Jace, so we shouldn't have to search for him long.
Master Aurora: By the way Spyro, how is my uncle Eon? I've been too busy here to answer his letters and-
Spyro: Don't worry Master Aurora. He understands you're busy. Master Eon is doing just fine!
Master Pit Boss: Sssee Aurora? Jussst reply back to him at your earliessst convenience like I advisssed.
Master Aurora: I know. But he isn't getting any younger and he isn't as strong as he used to be. Plus Master Eon is my only uncle; I can't help but worry. You know that.
Spyro: Master Aurora I can ensure you that us Core Skylanders are taking good care of our beloved Portal Master Eon. We worry for him too you know. Especially me.
Master Aurora: Thank you Spyro.
Master Pit Boss: Well, with that out of the way, ssshall we go meet thisss Sun Dragon? I am quite fassscinated with thisss oriental dragon Camo isss so fond of.
Master Aurora: Yes, let's go and meet him. He sounds like an interesting dragon!
Spyro: Oh "interesting" doesn't begin to describe him. You'll see.

Spyro, Master Aurora, and Master Pit Boss started going around campus looking for Sun Dragon. They all greeted the students that they passed, occasionally asking if any of them had seen the elusive creature. It didn't take them long to find Sun Dragon eating some ice cream with Jace, along with some of Jace's friends: Jace's elven girlfriend Ivy, the living plushie Patch, and Sy-fight, who's real name is Luno and is the same species as Starstrike. Which is, quite frankly, unknown since both him and Starstrike are from another world.

Spyro: Hope were not bothering all of you.
Sun Dragon: Ah Spyro young lad! Come join us and have some delicious wild berry ice cream! Oh, are these two Senseis?
Master Pit Boss: Yesss. I am Pit Bossss, and thisss is Massster Aurora. I am a Sssorcerer classss Sensssei of the Undead element, and Aurora isss a Swashbuckler classss Sensssei of the Light element.

Jace and the others gave a quick bow of respect to them. Sun Dragon also bowed his head to his future teachers and allies. It was tradition and a sign of respect to bow one's head to these great Senseis. Some of them are even reformed villians, including ex-Doom Raider leader Golden Queen!

Sun Dragon: Aurora, I've heard that name before... Ah! You must be Master Eon's niece Aurora yes? He must be proud of your status as a Sensei here. No, he is proud of you, I'm sure of it.
Master Aurora: Oh, has he told you about me?
Sun Dragon: Ah yes, me and Master Eon get along very well. He has told me about his lovely niece and I must say he did not stretch the truth at all about you Master Aurora.
Master Aurora: Oh, um, thanks.😶
Spyro: Sorry Aurora, he tends to have this effect on people. I see you've made some friends, Sun Dragon. Ivy, Luno, and of course who could forget sweet Patch!
Patch: (giggle) Nice to see you too, Spyro!
Ivy: Hi Spy'. Mom and dad keeping you on your toes?
Spyro: Since when aren't they? And Luno, Starstrike is doing great.
Sy-fight: Good to hear, Spyro.
Master Pit Boss: Sssun Dragon, we have the papers here. Ssspyro hasss already helped usss fill in sssome of the needed information. We need you to fill the ressst in persssonally.
Sun Dragon: Of course, Master Pit Boss. I'm fine with doing it here, if that's alright with you.
Master Pit Boss: Alright then it is. Do you children mind?
Jace: Not at all, Master Pit Boss. Go on.

The next while was filled with questions and answers, some them were quite interesting. After that was dealt with the Senseis went to verify the new student with Master King Pen, leader of the Sensei Skylanders, and start arranging his new schedule and living quarters. The Sun Dragon then started telling everyone about his travels across Skylands and his friendships with some of the Skylanders, including Ivy's parents Flameslinger and Stealth Elf. At one point, they all heard a booming sound someplace. They figured it was some of the students in the vehicle classes or someone pulling kind of prank and settled at that. However, a few minutes later, they saw Hugo walking up to them looking like a bomb went off in his face. He was also ticked off. Hugo stared at Sun Dragon intently as Sun Dragon was biting his bottom lip, trying not to laugh.

Spyro: What happened to you, Hugo?
Hugo:... Sun Dragon did this.
Jace: How? I've had my eye on him this whole time. Sun Dragon?
Sun Dragon: Out of Curiosity dear Hugo, was it a firecracker that blew up in your face?
Hugo:...Yes...
Sun Dragon: While you looking at a (snicker) a book?
Hugo:😠
Spyro: You didn't.
Sun Dragon:(laughs loudly) The firecracker in the book with a secret compartment trick! You thought you could avoid me didn't you Hugo? I go to long lengths to shine brighter than the brightest day, especially when it comes to pranks! You had me going there for a while I'll admit though! (Continues laughing)

Everyone but Hugo started laughing at Sun Dragon's actions. They didn't mean to offend the Mabu or anything. They just thought it was funny. Spyro helped Hugo clean himself up as his way of showing that. Jace and the others felt that they were going to see plenty of this in the future now that Sun Dragon was to be studying here at Skylanders Academy.
