*this chapter takes place in the same day as the last chapter*

Naturally the Senseis were mad with Bazookanine and Xilas leaving without their permission, especially since Bazookanine, Xilas, and their mechs were hurt and damaged by Tianhe-2's mutant transformations. However, Raven managed to convince them to wait until after Tianhe-2 had a chance to be repaired before giving Bazookanine a punishment. After all, Bazookanine built the robot, and he promised the thing to help repair him. The Senseis decided to allow Bazookanine to help repair Tianhe-2, but as soon as Bazookanine says whether or not Tianhe-2 can be repaired or not, he'll face up to his actions. Raven couldn't argue with that, though it's not like she tried. Mags and Dr.Krankcase went to help Bazookanine with the repair, but they had to close off the garage so they can be sure no one will just come in and accidentally mess something up.

As for Xilas, the Senseis decided that, considering his, um, unstable mind, he had ultimately went along with Bazookanine's plan and likely did it since him and Bazookanine were roommates. Besides, he had received some injuries and he needed to stay in the infirmary for a bit. Naturally the other students wanted to check on him.

Cosmic: Now you're sure your alright Xilas?😯
Xilas: Xilas feels great! Except my leg kinda hurts.
Sun Dragon: At least you and Bazookanine are alright. Things could've gotten a lot worse.
Kamua: Oooohhhh. You look terrible Xilas! Do you need anything to make you better?😦
Xilas: How about some food? I'm hungry. Doesn't matter what food. Xilas eats anything.
Kamua: Okey dokey! Anything coming up!
Poltergrin: I heard what happened guys! Oh wow, Xilas, are you okay?!
Xilas: Oh sure skeleclops sir! Xilas been through worse-er. Just ask nasty wolf man.
Poltergrin: Um... you mean Fur-
Monitar: Ssshhhh! Don't say it! I've seen it! He'll go AWOL if he hears you-know-who's name!
Poltergrin: Oh, um, ok... I guess. Hey, any word on Tianhe-2?
Sun Dragon: Nothing yet. They practically just started. They'll let us know if anything happens though.
Poltergrin: Alright. Hey Monitar, thanks for going in my steed. I really appreciate it.
Monitar: No prob bob. Happy to oblige.
Ihala: Poltergrin, I've heard you were interested in enrolling here. Have you decided to attend the Academy or not yet?
Poltergrin: Actually I have... uh...
Ihala: Ihala. My sister Kamua was the one you passed on the way in. You were saying?
Poltergrin: Well, Ihala, I've decided to attend here after all! I figured it'd be a good way to use these new powers of mine, and anything to get Scorpius back to normal!
Xilas: Hot dog skeleclops dude! Aaannnnd speaking of hot dogs! (Licks lips)
Kamua: Fresh chili dogs for a Mr. Xilas, right here! Hope you like it! 😄
Xilas: Like it? I LOVE IT!
Cosmic: *sigh* Classic Xilas, am I right?
Sun Dragon: (shakes head and chuckles) Oh yes.

Meanwhile

Emolition: You want me to what?
Flaradise: I heard about how you can manipulate emotions to the point of breaking mind control. I could use your help to break Obleak out of his Darkness.
Alabra: Last I checked, Obleak wasn't being mind controlled. How-
Flaradise: True he isn't under mind control, or at least an obvious sign of it is seen in him, but whatever is causing him to be this way I'm sure Emolition's powers of empathy can overcome.
Mayflo: I-I don't know Ms. Flaradise. M-my brother doesn't really do that sort of thing a-anymore. With his... condition, y-you know.
Emolition: I only did it with Voltair and Terra so everyone could hush up. Their talking all at once was giving me a headache.
Flaradise: I had heard rumors that your emotionless state was so bad that you couldn't feel pain. Assuming that's true, how is it that discussing something can give you a headache?
Emolition: ...I get very tired sometimes... and noise keeps me awake... and staying awake too long makes my head hurt...
Alabra: It does?
Emolition: ... Let's just say that apparently the only emotion I do have left in me is depression... Severe depression now, after having no emotions for... three, four, maybe five years now... May knows the dates...
Mayflo: *Whimpers* D-don't make me s-say anything pl-please...
Alabra: No said you had to May. Ssshhh, ssshhh...
Flaradise: Please use your powers of empathy to help me with Obleak Emolition! My power of Light may not be enough to help him alone!
Emolition: "May" not be enough... You don't know if I can help... if it's even possible that I can ever help anyone in my state...
Flaradise: Now stop with such nonsense Emolition! So what if you can't be happy on your own? Doesn't make you feel any sense of good when you help someone?
Emolition: Like anyone even needs m-
Flaradise: I need your help Emolition! Obleak needs your help! Doesn't that make you want to do something with yourself?! Don't you want your little sister to know that, even with your loss of emotion, that you still have a pure heart?!

Emolition stood there, and though his face and stature didn't change, he did realize that Flaradise had a point. He tried hard to feel his heart... to feel something... and he did find that, deep deep deep down, he... he wanted to help. He wanted something. He hadn't felt anything for so long... but he did feel this... and something more... he wanted to act on it!

Emolition: ...*sigh* What do I have to do?...
Flaradise: That's better. *clears throat* Come with me Emolition.
Emolition: You two stay here. With Obleak, things could turn ugly... and I don't want neither one of you hurt... alright?

May and Alabra did follow them out of the room and dorm, but once outside they stayed and watched as Emolition and Flaradise went off to wherever they were holding Obleak. May didn't know what to think. So many things have been happening lately. It's been an up hill climb of stress if you ask her. At least things were starting to get back to normal around here...

Dreamcatcher: Yo Alabra!
Mayflo: OH MY GOD!!! STAY AWAY FROM ME!
Alabra: Shield! No offense Dreamcatcher but can our class work wait until-
Dreamcatcher: Later. I, uh... this is about your roommate there... I know she's... "scared" of me...
Alabra: "Scared" is an understatement since she has PTSD. Look at her shaking! And how'd you-
Dreamcatcher: Actually probably the most BS way I could've. I paid Crocavile for some good gossip and he happened to spat that thing about your roommate out. I... came to see if that was true...
Alabra: Well, as you can obviously see, it is. *sigh* It's going to take a while for her to calm down. Ssshhhh, sshhhh, I'm here May, I'm right here... Look Dreamcatcher, this isn't a good time-
Dreamcatcher: I-I know I know! But... Can I at least try to talk to her? She can hear me surely.
Alabra: ...*sigh* As long as you stay behind me. She sees you and she'll be too scared to do anything other then fainting.
Dreamcatcher: Fine by me... (Clears thro- um... does clearing your throat apply to floating heads? No seriously)... H-hey, um, Shield was it? Um, look, uh.... that whole thing back at that Cursed Swamp? I-I didn't mean it... Ok look maybe at the time I did a little but I was also under orders from Goldie sooo... L-look, I was a villain then alright? I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't mean no harm, just... I just wanted some fun is all... I always thought making people see their nightmares come to life was funny... No one ever really took me seriously back in the Dream Realm. Heck, they... they never really noticed me. So I guess those nightmares I brought to life scaring people to death was my way at gettin' back at 'em, to make them see me... But I didn't mean to actually hurt anyone, let alone give them pdsg-
Alabra: That's PTSD Dreamy.
Dreamcatcher: Yeah, that... L-look, after what happened with Furori and how Raven took a shot for me, I kinda got it through my thick head that maybe I ought to... at least not give anyone more nightmares lime that, you know? I... I already did enough damage as it is. I finally figured it out. That everyone here- The Senseis, the other cadets, the teachers, even Eon- they're all been giving me a second chance to redeem myself... At first I just kept ignoring them, but... I don't know... After what Raven did for me I started seein' everything and all that stuff...
Alabra: ...Dreamy...😦
Dreamcatcher: Look Shield, I'm just sayin' that... if there's anyway I can help you get over your pohd or whatever it is, just say the word... please...
Mayflo: *Whimpers* ...
Alabra: ...Dreamcatcher... you can't just "get over" something like PTSD. It takes time and effort to even cope with it sometimes. But you are more then welcome to help May with it. I'm sure she'd be happy about your helping her.
Dreamcatcher: Soo... her real name's May?
Alabra: Mayflo, but her friends say May for short. Force Shield is her Skylander name so to speak. You know?
Dreamcatcher: Yeah, I get it. May huh? That's really a nice name! Um... G-guess that's all I came for really... Soo... see ya later Ali?
Alabra: *chuckles* Sure Dreamy, see you later. And thank you for what you said. I can tell it was pretty emotional for you to say all that. I'm sure having you around will help May drastically. Just, let's do it little by little, ok?
Dreamcatcher: S-sure! Fine by me! Well, TTYL!

Dreamcatcher floated off somewhere, probably to talk gossip with some other girls knowing her. Alabra smiled at the thought though. He knew Dreamcatcher had finally found her light. He hoped the same blessing for Obleak, and maybe even Furori if the fates allowed. It was going to be a while before May cooled down. Alabra managed to pick her up bridal style and carried her to their room.

Meanwhile

Emolition: "Look in his mind"? I'd say you're crazy but I've been lost of judgment in all honesty. Actually, I'm not sure if "honesty" is left to me anymore.
Flaradise: If you looked in Obleak's mind, we may be able to see what's making him so rage filled. Come now, you can't give up on Obleak when we haven't even begun.
Emolition: ...*sigh* Ok, but he'll have to be awake if you want the best results, or any results for that matter...
Lassea: Those constraints should hold if you're attempting that, but you should still be ready to leave the room in a hurry in case something happens.
Phobia: Lassea, the guy's got a frickin' ball-and-chain attached to his leg. I don't think you have to worry too much about them in here. Still, good luck you two.

Lassea and Phobia immediately went out the door and closed it. Flaradise rolled her eyes and turned to Emolition again, nodding to him. Emolition and Flaradise had to shake Obleak awake, but when he woke he immediately started trying to break his constraints. Emolition started enveloping the room in his gray magic, oddly... calming Obleak enough for Emolition to place his uncovered hand on Obleak's forehead.

Flaradise: Emolition, can you get a read on him even with this behavior?
Emolition: Hmm... I'm picking up rage, distress, pain... an unwanting-ness in him... I see... death? And flames, and I'm getting whispers of rebirth...
Flaradise: Death and rebir- Ah! Phoenixes can resurrect themselves! Something must have gone wrong during Obleak's reincarnation! That must be it!
Emolition: I sense an unwanting in him... perhaps he is aware of his actions, but unable to control them... He seeks peace of mind...
Flaradise: That should be enough for me to do my part Emolition. Now that I have a good idea as to what's wrong, I will be the light of his tunnel! Best get ahold of Eteru and Sailiga in case I need for power and assistance, and tell the Senseis I need Sunburn's presence here as well.

Meanwhile(yeah there's a number of these in this chapter)

As anyone at the Academy should know, there were small islands that would float around the Academy. Some of them were like training grounds or quiet areas for some of the cadets. Most others were just left there. Sirin wanted it that way. This island was large enough for her to hide out there and close enough to the Academy that she'd be able to get there and back without much difficulty. She wanted to keep an eye on Eteru so she could protect him should danger come once more for him. She wasn't thrilled about the idea of being a "Skylander" like Lassea and Phobia had agreed to do.

Maybe it came from Sirin being from an outside world, but then so were the Skylanders Starcast, Dino-rang, Flashwing, Enigma, Star Strike, Blackout, and even the likes of Bowser, Donkey Kong, Crash Bandicoot, and Crash's own archenemy Dr. Neo Cortex were from other worlds as well and they are with the Skylanders. Perhaps it was just her. Being an Incarnation of Darkness wasn't the best thing, especially in this place. She just... didn't like being there. Not to mention that crystal Eteru showed her gave her shivers, and that always lead to something being bad.

Plus she wasn't so sure about Sailiga. I mean " had been considering becoming a Skylander for some time now, but then he apparently heard about Furori and figured it'd be a good chance to prove his ability"? Is everyone too blind to see that was a lie? And at such a time as Furori's attack, around the same time Sirin started getting those horrid dreams of this Reba and her threats. It has to be more then-

Fin-Point: So... here you are.

Perhaps this island wasn't far enough.

Sirin: What do you want?😡
Fin-Point: Heard you weren't enrolling along with Eteru, Lassea, and Phobia. Any reason-
Sirin: The light in the Academy is too much for me to stay there indefinitely. My magic is weakened there.
Fin-Point: *scoff* Really? The Academy is equally elemental. There's as much Darkness as there is Light.
Sirin: What concern is it to you? You're the one who didn't want people prying into your life correct?
Fin-Point: ...Neither do you. And... I can see it.
Sirin: What? My supposed "affection" for Eteru? I don't want to hear it.
Fin-Point: I mean... *sigh* I heard what Furori said. About your world... gone.
Sirin: ...
Fin-Point: I... I can relate.
Sirin: How could you possibly-
Fin-Point: Though my home was not destroyed like yours... my world has been shattered...
Sirin: (?)...
Fin-Point: ...I suppose you wouldn't know what that means... Heh. In places like Skylands or Earth even, one can say that their significant other is their world, their... everything...
Sirin: (?)... I suppose I could see one referring another as- (!?)... A-ah... You... I-I'm so sorry to hear that... How-
Fin-Point: I'd rather not say how it happened.
Sirin: Let me finish. How long ago was it when... you know...?
Fin-Point: ...*sigh* Five years actually.... Heh, funny. Feels like it was not that long ago...
Sirin: ... I know that pain...
Fin-Point: Exactly. I... I've actually never talked about this since... it happened. The only reason Master Eon knows about it is because my folks told him. They probably think I don't know that.
Sirin: ... May I ask an inquiry of mine? Why did you help- no, save me from Furori?
Fin-Point: What do you mean? I'm a Skylander, I help people for a living. Oh sure, I come off as an emo shark that doesn't like talking much, but I still have the responsibility of a Skylander; to protect those who need us. I saw you go ahead of us, and I knew right then you were after Furori. I knew you might be in for a hard knocking, so I came in case you needed help. I may be a emo, which I'm willing to admit, but I'm not insensitive. I'm honored to be given this opportunity as anyone in Skylands would be. I wish to help prevent what happened to me from happening to others, and that includes you.
Sirin: 😕... Hm. Maybe you aren't so bad after all. 😏
Fin-Point: ...Good lord I sounded like Stalker for a minute there didn't I?
Sirin: Hm, you mean Sun Dragon? Mmm... Maybe a little. *chuckles*

Later

Bazookanine: Please... Activate already.

The repairs were finished about half an hour ago. The malfunction supposedly gone, though they wouldn't know for sure until Tianhe-2 was fully charged and activated. Bazookanine stayed in the workplace so he could alert the others when Tianhe-2 was back online... and so he could spend a little time with the mechanical marvel. See, the hing about suddenly shutting down a robot manually is that, if it is malfunctioning at the time, it has the potential to... lose all of its memories. All of them. Well, except a few basic programs of course but... you get the idea. Bazookanine wanted to be prepared if it turned out this was one of those cases, but let's be honest; he would never be ready to lose a friend.

Bazookanine: ...Please... It's been long enough already. You should be charged by now.
Joshua: Monitor says it's 95% full friend. Won't be long now.
Bazookanine: J-joshua!? When did you-
Joshua: About five minutes ago. Raven was getting a little antsy, so I let her alone a bit. Figured I'd check on you and "Johnny 5" over here.
Bazookanine: *sigh* Well, I guess I could use some company. Hey, the heck is that?

Bazookanine eyed this creature that must've came in with Joshua. It was almost as strange as Sailiga was. It had the height of a large Earth dog, the tail fin of a fish, the front legs of a bird, the back legs of a canine of some sort, and it had this large, heavy looking "helmet" on it. The only part of the face you could see of the animal was its green eyes shining from in the helmet.

Joshua: Oh him. *giggles* Well, let's just say that Raven wasn't the only one that brought a rare pokemon with her. Only difference is that I use a pokeball to hide it from everyone, including Raven. I thought I'd let it out for a bit before we go. You know, since today is the last day me and Rae intent to stay here. Surely you've heard of Type:Null.
Bazookanine: Oh... I guess my mind's too focused on Tianhe-2 right now to notice.
Joshua: Wow. Even after the introduction, you're not freaking out. You and Tianhe-2 must've had a few before he malfunctioned. Hm... Wish I had more friends like that.
Bazookanine: What're you talking about Josh? You've got Null there, you have flipping Raven of all people, and lord knows who all else!
Joshua: *chuckles* Yeah. Things seem good don't  they? *sigh*...Yeah, it's better now, but... it wasn't always like this. You know of my game, The World Ends With You, yes?
Bazookanine: Well... no, not much honestly.
Joshua: Heh, I figured. Well, see, I am Composer of Shibuya and it's Reaper's Game. I basically decide who comes back to life after a seven day long set of missions. Sounds awesome- and it is- but you know, no one really gets to see you much. In fact, the only people who dare lay eyes on the Composer is the Conductor and Producer. Sooo... it gets lonely sometimes... being Composer. It's maddening really.
Bazookanine: I can see that... I guess. So what changed?
Joshua: Hm... Neku changed. See, in my game, I had decided that Shibuya had become too corrupt to continue on and I wished to vanquish it all so the other Reaper's games wouldn't be corrupted as well. My Conductor, however, wanted it all to stay, to find an alternative solution to the negative feelings of Shibuya. We made our own game where, if he didn't find a solution within three weeks -or three Reaper's Games- then he'd be erased,  and Shibuya soon after. I agreed to use a proxy to represent me in this game, and... Neku was that... A-a proxy...
Bazookanine: Josh? You okay?
Joshua: *deep breaths* The point I'm saying is Bazookanine... is that you and I share something in common. A fear of losing our friends. The only friends and family we've ever had. Those oh so hard earned friends that can't be replaced. Those companions we longed for for all our lives it seems.... I was... just a lonely little boy when I became Composer, and it only became more lonely after that. Being Composer still is lonely from time to time, but now I have friends like Neku, Shiki, Beat, and Rhyme to go home to at the end of the game. A "forever companion" like Null, soon to be Silvally, to keep me company. A friend like Raven to look forward to visiting and seeing again. And you... you have Eteru, a brother by oath, something rare in the modern time, and Lassea and Phobia for assistance, and Tianhe-2... a creation of your own hand. Of course you're worried for him, as would any friend for their hurt.
Bazookanine: 😦... Wow. And I thought you were just some prissy kid Raven knew...
Joshua: *chuckles* Everyone thinks that at first. I'm just saying that I understand your caring for Tianhe-2. Well, I should probably go. I hear they're working on Obleak right now, and I want to see what happens. Besides, you'll want a private moment in a minute. *whistles* Null.
Type:Null: *animal noise*

Joshua motioned and Null followed suit. They walked out as if nothing had happened in the last couple of minutes. What did Joshua mean by that last part, about needing a private moment? Bazookanine checked the monitor, and it said Tianhe-2 was charged 100%. His systems would reactivate soon. Though Bazookanine knew it would take a bit longer until Tianhe-2's systems would activate fully, he still acted like an excitable dog and tried to make Tianhe-2 wake up faster. He spoke, and shook, and cried for Tianhe-2 to wake up and remember their friendship before this malfunction. Bazookanine was at tears, and he cried into Tianhe-2's torso within moments of trying to wake him up.

Bazookanine: P-please... be the friend I remember you as... P-please...😢

...

For a moment, there was silence. Then, Bazookanine felt a gentle hand graze his back.

Tianhe-2: You were always prone to over acting Bazookanine. I'm glad you haven't changed.

Meanwhile

Joshua told Null to run off and hide as he approached the containment area where they kept Obleak for the time being. Only reason he wanted Null to hide was because Raven was also there, and though Joshua didn't necessarily keep Null a secret, he knew Raven would ask about how Joshua got Null, and he actually wasn't prepared to figure out a way around saying "oh yeah Arceaus, the Semi-God of Pokémon, sort of gave Null to me" because how could you?

Joshua: Hello Raven, hope they haven't started without me!😊
Raven: Oh no no. They're fixing to start now. I'm curious to this ritual Flare and Sunburn have planned.
Joshua: An Azerothian like you would.
Raven: Hey I'm serious. I knew there were rituals and ceremonies related to phoenixes but I've never known phoenixes to actually preform them.
Joshua: You've never known phoenixes before coming here period. And anyway this is experimental. They really don't know if this is going to work.
Raven: Which is what makes it all the more interesting to me. Ssshh.
Sunburn: Now all listen! Me and Flare predict that this purity ceremony will hopefully rid Obleak of this Darkness in which he is consumed in. However, if it is true that he was corrupted during his rebirth as a phoenix can do, then it may not be possible to completely purify him, but at least the worse of it should be rid away of him after this ceremony.
Flaradise: Remember that this is merely a test. We know not if this will work as intended or expected, so be ready if things get out of our hands.

Cosmic: Hope things go well Flare. May the odds be ever in your favor.
Sun Dragon: May the luck of the years of alliance between us oriental dragons and phoenixes be with you both in there Flare, Sunburn.
Sunburn: We'll need it in there. Thank you. We better get started Flare.
Flaradise: Right.

The containment room they had Obleak in was now lit with ceremonial candles and smelled of incense(don't tell the Sun Dragon and them but it was ironically an incense called Dragon's Blood. Not real blood, just saying), and the lines now on the floor surrounding Obleak was in shape of the Phoenix Constellation(it's a real constellation look it up). Obleak was in his now usual rage, unaware of what will happen to him. The door shut, the candles a light, and Flaradise and Sunburn on both sides of the constellation.

Sunburn: Ready?
Flaradise: I would've said something otherwise Sunburn. Let's begin.

They then began chanting an ancient incantation to begin the process. Every time they took in a breath, the raised their wings as high as they could go, and when they finished saying the incantation they would lower their wings, take a breath, then repeat the process. The lines that made up the Phoenix Constellation began to light up with a blazing pink light. Outside, Sailiga and Eteru were silently whispering special incantations Flare and Sunburn had told them to say throughout this process.

There was a slight power surge going through Obleak, but he couldn't tell if it was a transfer of power or a draining. It almost felt like both at once. He started panicking, thrashing. Though his screeching was enough to drown out the chanting, it wasn't stopping the progress of the ceremony. Flaradise and Sunburn began to bring their wings to a blaze. So far the ceremony seemed to be working.
The oxygen in the room was getting used up fast, but it was part of the plan. They hoped that by the time the oxygen in the room was used up, Obleak won't have enough fire power to continue fighting back, but it was going to be a strain on Flaradise and Sunburn as well. They had to last long enough for the magic of the Phoenix Constellation to do it's job, to make Obleak weak enough to stop fighting back. But then, out of the blue, Obleak managed to hit Sunburn with a heatwave. Sunburn was knocked to the wall, and the heatwave took out some of the oxygen in the room. Flaradise instinctively had to do something.

Flaradise: Cease and lay down Obleak! You need to fight this Darkness if we are to succeed! You are aware- I know you are! Hear my words and act on them Obleak! Look into thy own eyes and be given the fire to be free!

First there was screeching and struggling, then just struggling, then... a dark smoke was expelled from Obleak, as he finally laid down ontomthe floor on top of the Phoenix Constellation. The wind still there, caused by the thrashing, died down as the candles finally blew out. Obleak's feathers seemed to become shinier and more natural, though they still were pitch black. Flaradise and Sunburn panted as they allowed whatever oxygen that came from under the door to seep in. Obleak seemed quite unconscious for some time, but after a moment had passed he started to stir awake.

Flaradise: *panting* O-Obleak...
Sunburn: *panting* Be careful... Flare...
Flaradise: Obleak... Do you hear me?
Obleak: ... *groan* ...Y-you... you saved m-me... I... th-thank you eternally... But... the damage... I caused-
Sunburn: All was not your fault Obleak... How did you end up like this to begin with?
Obleak: Those memories... those dark wizards... they wanted the teleportation powers that us phoenixes hold, and I was their target. I... was forced to rebirth myself... but their magic had corrupted me... Even now, I feel the powers of Darkness in my blood... but now it is in my control. Again I thank you. *groans*
Flaradise: Stay down for now Obleak. You've been through a big ordeal.
Obleak: ...I.. I still feel so responsible for all the hurt I've done to you all... Allow me to make it up... as a Skylander... please...
Flaradise: ...And I'll say that you shall be given that opportunity Obleak, but please allow yourself rest before planning on attending please.
Obleak: O-of course... Flare...

Later

Joshua: Welp, sunset Rae. Time we should get going yes?
Raven: I suppose... hang on.
Eteru: Raven! Raven! *panting* A-are you... leaving?
Raven: Well, of course. It's been seven days, and I do need to go home soon.
Eteru: But... I... there's something I... I know you can't stay to help me, but please, I have to tell someone about this!
Joshua: More trouble Eteru?
Eteru: Since when I aren't in some kind of trouble anymore? Raven, I... I don't know what to do, and I-I-
Raven: Ssshhh... sshhh... Eteru calm down. What are you talking about?

Raven: ETERU GET A GRIP!

Raven slapped Eteru upside his snout, causing him to spin a few times before falling on his stomach in front of Raven. It took him a second to realize what had happened.

Raven: Now Eteru, what on Earth- oh wait, um... in Skylands? I guess?- (shakes head) What are you going on about?
Eteru: R-raven, Josh... I had warnings saying that something horrible is going to happen and it'll because of me. Sailiga and Sirin are going to be targets too! There's this crazy Worldender that wants the Apex role or whatever and she's sending some crazy threesome to... to do Ancients know what!
Raven: 😐... Joshua, translation.
Joshua: Well, Worldenders have a sort-of hierarchy, if you will. The "Apex role" Eteru speaks of is the highest authority any Worldender can have. "Thee who is the Apex has the authority to decide, out of all that may be corrupt, shall be discontinued."
Raven: 😐... The f**k does that mean?
Joshua: The Apex Worldender can decide which worlds that are corrupted in their eyes should be destroyed, simple as that. This Worldender Eteru has after him must have some plan to use Eteru's unique heritage to rise herself to the Apex role. How Sailiga and Sirin fit into that, no one can tell as of yet I fear.
Eteru: That must be it. Miss Raven, I don't know what to do! I-
Raven: Ssshhh... How do you know of this disaster coming Eteru?
Eteru: The Worldender- Rosette is her name- she told me some weird poem to me, and since I received a vision of one of the three she's sending to me, it's been repeated in my head.
Joshua: Oh dear. Recite it now and we'll see what final advise we can give Eteru.
Eteru: It was something like...

The ancients have survived extinction.
The canine trio that comes must be of your most attention.
The brother with the sword that legendary it proves.
With a power to predict in the blade your next moves.
He is the warrior of the highest honor.
Yet he is the twin sibling minor.
A witch so twisted that corrupts anything her way.

Joshua: Wow. Sounds like a destiny if you ask me. Which you did thank you.
Eteru: Raven, I-... I know you can't stick around for whenever that stuff happens, but is there anything you can help with anyway?
Raven: ...That's... That's kinda a tall order Eteru, especially given my situation. But if what Joshua said is true- and I hate to say this but it usually is- then maybe... I can give you this much. That part of this "poem" of yours about your friends... stick with them, and don't push them away. Believe me, it'll at least help make the situation more... hopeful. I know that from personal experience let me tell you. And look, I can't promise I'll come back to see the fireworks, but when this day comes... when you're in the darkest place, the darkest hour... think of me, and your friends, and all that got you this far... And I'll do my best to reach you, from wherever the both of us are... My friends- God I miss them- they never gave up on me even when it all seemed hopeless. Just... Don't be afraid to lean on a few shoulders here and there, ok? It'll make things A LOT easier...
Joshua: And something from me Aether man! I've got a popular quote of mine that totally fits here. "Give up on yourself, and you give up on the world." In other words, don't give up!😊
Raven: That's solid advise for a douchebag like you Josh.
Joshua: Even you'll admit that I can be very understanding of people Rae. ;)
Raven: *sigh* Look, just... don't give up and all that jazz, ok? We're behind you all the way, even if we aren't here physically, alright?
Eteru: ... (nods)😢

Raven got down to Eteru's level and hugged him tightly, him doing the same. For someone who's all "doom and gloom" Raven was surprisingly tender loving and sweet even. But then... that was years ago, and... things do change... for better or for worse... Eteru had had the rare chance to see this side of Raven, and it meant something to him. Sure, she can be harsh, calculating, and sometimes cold, but in all honesty, she was just introverted. Her way of hiding things she's afraid others would hate her for was to shun people she didn't think would take the chance to be with her knowing the things she knew or was or... any of it. But in a sense, that's what attracts people to her. You could just tell that she was... lonely and frightened. Eteru could understand that. Both of them had their reasons for holding back from people, but it just seems to attract those with a caring heart to them. And it hit Eteru then... that he didn't need to be conservative around his friends. Especially now that they knew these things about him.

Joshua: *whistles* Hate to spoil the party ya'll, but uh, fanbois and fangirls incoming.
Raven: R-right. Remember all that, ok Eteru?
Eteru: O-of course R...Rae.😢
Cosmic: RAVEN! Don't go yet!
Joshua: We're not leaving yet friends. Heck, we were expecting a farewell party.
Sun Dragon: On behalf of all of us here at the Academy, we are honored and blessed to have you here with us Raven, Joshua.
Raven: It's been nice being here Sunny. Really, I mean that. A lot better then that last world we were in. *shivers* Those Chrysalis are going to scar me for the rest of my life I swear.
Joshua: Only if you let them Raven.
Raven:😐 Joshua don't even joke like that. They nearly experimented on you too, remember?
Joshua: Of course. I'm just... trying to forget what they nearly did... *shudders* Just thinking about that makes me feel cold...
Raven: *sigh* Well, anyway... Eteru, stay good and all.
Eteru: I try.
Raven: Croc... Ya ain't so bad I guess. Just try not to cry wolf too much and stuff.
Crocavile: *gasp* She acknowledged me! She really acknowledged me!
Raven: Ok just how can you gasp when you don't have- You know what forget I asked. It's like asking Joshua any simple question about anything. Um... May, hope your brother finds his emotions. Hopefully I can figure something out about that kind of stuff by the time I visit again if he hasn't gotten better by then.
Mayflo: Th-thank you miss Raven.
Raven: Um... God I suck at goodbyes today. Bazooka? Cheers on T2 being fixed up and all. And er, Flare, cheers for Obleak too. Um, cheers to the honey badger guy and those jaguar twins-
Joshua: Leopard and cheetah Raven.
Raven: Yeah yeah. Um... Sunny? Keep an eye on Scorpius huh? Something about him just... doesn't feel right. I mean, I know he's kinda crazy and all but I meant... something about his powers don't feel right.
Sun Dragon: We'll do our best as always Raven.
Raven: Good. Uh... Keep an eye on Dreamcatcher and Eteru and, well, everyone for me. Heck, tell Camo and Cynder I'll miss them for me ok?

Joshua: *clears throat* Rae? Aren't you... you know?

Raven spoke her magic words, and a portal appeared before her. Raven and Joshua took a final look back at the group of cadets, then without anything else to say, walked through into the portal. Then the portal shut seconds afterwards. The cadets continued to wave goodbye even after the portal closed. No way they were gonna forget this anytime soon.

Cosmic: Hey Sun. Any idea what's in the box they gave us?
Sun Dragon: None. Should we go ahead and open it?
Crocavile: YES YES OPEN IT OPEN IT!

Sun Dragon undid the ribbon of the gift and opened the box. What was inside immediately took everyone by surprise.

It was individual pictures of a certain sorceress... autographed for everyone in Sun Dragon's friend group.
