Sophie's POV

I close the door and go back into the living room where Sonya is.

"Who's this little guy?" She smiles at the little boy in my arms and reaches out to hold him. I reluctantly give him to her and sit on the couch opposite of her.

"Aaron. I'm going to be babysitting him for a friend," I answer.

"A friend?"

"From highschool. He will be back in two days to come get him, but Aaron will be here a lot as far as I know."

"Okay. Back to this guy you are talking to."

I groan and cover my face.

"Come on. Talk to me."

I uncover my face and pull out my phone. "Switch with me."

She gives me Aaron and takes my phone. I play with Aaron while she reads my texts. "Why are you still texting him?" She questions and hands my phone back.

I'm so bored ughh

I flip my phone upside down and place it beside me. "You have a boyfriend, Sonya. I have no one. I just want someone to talk to. I know that nothing is going to happen- I don't want anything to happen. I just like talking to a guy."

She nods. "Okay. Just be careful, okay?"

I roll my eyes. "No, I'm going to give him my address and go on a date with him."

She gives me a look.

"I'm joking. Calm down."

TWO DAYS LATER

I feel so much better!

I finally got to take a nice, long shower without worrying about Aaron. Jaxon came and got him late last night or early this morning, depending on what way you look at it.

I dry my hair as much as I can with my towel. I hear the door open and I turn towards the door. I drop my towel in shock at who is standing in the doorway.

"The black girl told me to come back here to find you. Is this a bad time?" He asks.

I shake my head. "Um. No. Let's go some where else to talk."

He nods and backs up. I head to the front door and grab my keys on the way with Ace following me. "I'll be back, Sonya!"

"Don't have too much fun!"

I feel my face heat up and try to shrug her comment off. I close the door behind Ace after he exits my apartment.

"Where are we going?" He questions.

"Some where to talk without any one to ease drop on us." I state and grab his hand. A few minutes later we are in front of my car. I release his hand and we both get in my car. I quickly start it and turn the heat on. I grab the blanket from the backseat and put it around me. I turn to Ace and exhale. "Start talking."

"Hi," Ace smiles.

I shake my head as a smile skirts my lips. "Hi."

"How have you been?"

I nod my head. "Pretty good. College is college. How are you?"

He blows out a breath. "Very different."

"Good or bad way?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Good."

"Then good."

"I miss you."

I turn my head as I see tears mist his eyes and so he can't see the tears in mine.

"Did you find someone else? I need to know. I'll stop-."

"I can't think about anyone else, Ace." I turn my head towards him. "You are the only one who makes my brain relate everything to you. I try to keep busy so that maybe my brain would shut up, but it can only help for so long."

"I've missed you so much, Sophie." He says and places a hand on my cheek. I lean into him. I quickly get out of the car and go to his side. He's already out of the car and steps towards me.

"Can you hold me?"

He does not wait even a second to wrap his arms around me.
