Sophie's POV

I yawn as I bounce Aaron on my hip. I poor some milk in a sippie cup for him and grab his favorite baby snacks. I hand him his sippie cup and he holds it while I carry his snacks. I make my way to the living room. I sit down on the couch and accidentally sit on one of his toys. I grab it and toss it on the ground.

"Okay, Aaron. We have a pretty big day ahead of us. We are going to get your tummy all full and hopefully you will take a nap. We have to go walk Ace's dog and go to the grocery store to buy more food. It's a good thing I don't have a class today or we would have a problem."

"Hey. When did little Aaron get here?" Sonya asks as she shuffles into the room.

"This morning," I answer and give Aaron a small cracker thing that tastes like bananas.

She nods. "I'm going over to Chris's. I'll be back late tonight or maybe tomorrow. Depending on how everything goes."

"What kind of plans do you two have?" I question and watch Aaron carefully as he drinks his milk.

"Actually, he doesn't know I'm coming over. I'm surprising him."

"Don't do anything I wouldn't do."

"Yeah, yeah."

----THE YEAR OF HELLOS----

"Jaxon shouldn't mind if I get you toys and clothes, right? Well, he wouldn't take them away from his little boy even if he didn't like it. You are my weakness, Aaron. I feel like I'm a mom. And I should probably stop talking or people are going to think I'm crazy." I glance at all the baby supplies around me.

"Sophie?"

I turn towards the voice and see Ace standing there. "Did you rest up last night?" I question with a smile.

He nods sheepishly. "Sorry for falling asleep."

"I knew you were tired, don't worry about it. You did wake up for a few minutes." I state.

"I did?" He looks confused and I nod.

"You were talking to me. You don't remember?"

He shakes his head. "What did I say?"

"Oh, just stuff." I can feel the blush creeping into my cheeks and I turn away. My eyes lock on Aaron and I freeze.

"Who's this little guy?" Ace asks and the way he says it seems almost sad.

I turn back to him. "Aaron and before you think anything, I'm just babysitting him. He is not my child."

Ace visibly relaxes and he smiles. "Can I hold him?"

I nod my head and move out of the way. Ace holds his hands out to Aaron and Aaron just stares at him. Almost in amazement. I giggle at Aaron's reaction and he turns to me. "I don't think he knows what to do. Just pick him up."

Ace carefully picks him up and I can't help but stare at the two of them.

----Flashback----

Ace plays with my hair. He wanted to fix my hair for me. Why? I have no idea. We are sitting on his bed and I try not to fall asleep. I close my eyes and lean back.

"Sophie! I'm not done yet! Come on,  just a few more minutes." He says and gently pushes me up into a sitting position.

"I'm sorry! I do it every time some one plays with my hair."

He chuckles. "Hopefully you think I do a good job with your hair."

"Why?"

"I want to be ready for when we have a beautiful girl one day." He states.

I turn my head slightly.

"Sophie, I'm almost done. Please hold still."

I turn my head back. "Do you realize what you just said?"

"Yeah. Do you? I want kids one day if you didn't."

"No, Ace." I pause. "You said WE would have kids one day."

His hands wrap around me and pull me back so I'm against his chest. "You are the only girl I want, Soph. That will never change."

----End of Flashback----

"You are going to be a great dad, Ace."

He grins. "You are going to be an even better mom. You are already practicing too."

I shake my head and smile. "Whatever you say."

----THE YEAR OF HELLOS----
SONYA'S POV

I storm away from my now ex-boyfriend's apartment.

How could he do this? I thought he felt the same way I did for him. I LOVED that boy. I realize he only wanted one thing from me and I wouldn't give it to him.

He broke my heart. Now it is my turn to break his.

I pound on the door and wait for it to open.

Chris never knew that I liked someone before him. I was scared to act on my feelings. Not any more.

The door opens and Jasper stands there in front of me. "Sonya?"

"Where's Nico?" I question.

Jasper raises his eyebrows before turning around and leaving. Nico appears less than a minute later.

"Hey, Sonya." He smirks. "Tired of your boyfriend?"

"Absolutely and make that ex-boyfriend."

His eyebrows narrow and he pulls me into his arms. "I'll put him in the hospital."

I shake my head. "Nico, I should have never been with him. If I wouldn't have dated him, my heart wouldn't be broken." Tears stream down my face.

He mutters something to himself, but I can't comprehend what he said.

"What?" I sniff and raise my head from his bare chest.

He shakes his head. "Just talking to myself." He says and wipes my tears away. "You want to come in and eat some ice cream? I have your favorite and I can kick Jasper out for a few hours."

I smile and wipe at my eyes. "Okay."

He grins and holds my hand to pull me inside.

"JASPER GET OUT!" Nico shouts and shouts the door behind me.

"I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A GAME!"

"I'LL TELL YOU KNOW WHO YOUR SECRET!"

"OKAY! OKAY! GIVE ME A SECOND!"

"Works every time," Nico whispers to me.

Jasper leaves like his pants are on fire and I cannot help, but laugh. Nico pulls me into the kitchen and reluctantly lets go of my hand. He takes out the ice cream and sets it on the counter.

"You remembered," I state.

"Remembered what?"

"That peanut butter chocolate ice cream is my favorite."

"Of course. I did and that you like your ice cream in a cone."

I smile at Nico and he gazes into my eyes. He smiles and ducks his head. He starts making my ice cream cone and I start thinking.

Maybe I wasn't in love with Chris.
