The stones of her red evening gown, glinting in the light.

She looked radiant, almost beautiful,

With the golden tendrils framing her face.

She felt as though, she was in someone else's skin,

For this was not her, all cheerful and confident.

Tonight she felt like another Cinderella,

Though she would never have her happily ever after.

There were no illusions of a fairy tale ending.

This was a boon, that'd last only till sunrise.

Yet, she would live each moment of this night

And make memories that'd last for a lifetime.
