Raindrops fall upon the heated earth,

And the refreshing scent of wet soil makes me smile.

I watch the rain, from my bedroom window,

Clutching a hot cup of coffee in my hands.

The rich aroma of coffee, tickles my tastebuds

And I relish, in the feel of the hot concoction going down my throat.

I snuggle on the window sill with yet another paperback.

The smell of freshly printed ink is just so divine.

I lose myself in the pages of the book,

Till the mouthwatering scent of gravy, tantalise my nostrils.

I go down the stairs, stomach growling in hunger

And see my mother, heating up our dinner.

I hug her and inhale the soothing scent of sandalwood

And of all these scents, I love it the best.

There are just so many....
