Where are they, those heroes who fight and bleed?

Those men who used to guard their homes  with their lives?

Those gentry whose lives were laid down for love and honour?

Those knights who fought fearlessly in sanguine battlefields?

Were they all whisked away into the pages of history,

Leaving the world in the hands of these wicked connivers?

Who stay hidden in guarded forts and declare war,

Manipulating minds with their blasphemous mouths.

Who flee from warzones and bloodshed,

Demanding others to fight their battles.

There are no heroes who bleed in today's world

Only impostors who pretend to be true heroes.
