We stand in the cool silver sand, waves caressing our feet,

You gently lift my chin, and our gazes lock.

Those mesmerising eyes hold me captive,

Ripples of grey and blue blending into a rare hue.

A plethora of emotions play across their surface, silently drawing me in.

I do not dare blink, for fear of losing this vision of inebriating ecstasy.

The clouds uncover the moon and I watch with wonder it's glint reflected in your eyes.

In that moment, I realise how beloved and precious you were to me,

For those alluring orbs that are reflections of your beautiful soul,

Make promises of endless love and unending passion.

And as I let myself drown in those amaranthine depths.

My soul makes a silent vow to never lose this love.
