How Spongebob made our Generation

Spongebob, we all know who this little yellow sponge living under the sea, giving us almost 18 years of episodes and two movies under its belt. Spongebob has been considered an iconic cartoon character, among other greats such as Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, and The Simpsons.

I even quote this show on a day to day basis.

Here are some examples:

I know someone who sets his car to wumbo to make it go real fast.

Be proud to be ugly, or better yet have really bad breath from having a sundae with ketchup onions and an old peanut plant.

This was someone's quote for my senior yearbook.

Parents be like.

And the best for last:

My friend asked that in music class once back in elementary school, he recess that day.

Now I know its kind of random why I'm talking about Spongebob but there's a reason, and a pretty sad one.

That isn't a lie, the creator has sadly been diagnosed with ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. It's majorly sad because he help shaped our childhoods, we all grew up with spongebob. Whenever I was sad as a kid, I always turned to spongebob, he is a source of happiness.

My prayers are with the creator and his family. And I'm not begging anyone to do this but I highly recommend you support ALS research.

Thank you guys for reading and I'll see you next time.
