Girl Meets World may be saved (Probably)

Now last week I posted a post on here telling you guys Girl Meets World got cancelled by Disney Channel.

But recently, one of the show's creator, Michael Jacobs, along with a fan petition, may help get Girl Meets world a season 4 and possibly more seasons, through an alternative network.

Now this won't be the first time a show that gets cancelled moves to another channel. Some shows in recent history has got revivals on another channel and is still going strings.

Here are some great examples:

American Dad: Cancelled by Fox, moves to cable channel TBS (Turner Broadcasting System)
Nashville: Cancelled by ABC, moves to cable channel CMT (Country Music Television)
Samurai Jack: Cancelled by Cartoon Network, moves to Adult Swim (I know it's the same channel but Neilson counts them as otherwise, for some reason)
The Mindy Project: Cancelled by Fox, moves to Hulu.
Arrested Development: Cancelled by Fox, moves to Netflix.

Now that's just a small list, I could go on but I don't have all day.

But what network should takeover putting Girl Meets World on? Simple, it's not a network, it's a SVOD (Subscription Video On Demand) service aka, Netflix or Hulu.

Now this is where you guys might ask, Why Netflix or Hulu?

Well simple, take Full House/Fuller House, the first show started on ABC where the traditional demographic is between 18-49 and sometimes younger, and moves to Netflix, where there is no demographic whatsoever because anyone could watch Netflix, while Boy Meets World started on ABC, it moved to Disney Channel where the demographic is between the ages of 6-14......yeah bold choice there, since the original show contains stuff not meant for a 9 year old.

Take this, the original Boy Meets World talked about stuff like Drugs, Alcohol, Sex, you know real world stuff, but when the sequel airs on Disney Channel, they never mention it like the network is tricking kids into thinking they don't exist, trust me Disney we know they exist, everyone knows they exist. But Disney Channel is trying to sugar coat everything for the younglings.

But when you put it on Netflix or Hulu, they'll get a little more creative control because there is no set demographic.

Cause, lets face it, Riley needs to grow up. Because being all cutesy wootsy won't get her into a good college, that would get her no where, trust me you think anyone would be like that, no, people grow up, Riley is literally the reason why kids need to grow up.

Sorry for that tiny rant there.

Now which one exactly would I think should pick up Girl Meets World, simple Hulu.

Now I know Netflix is king, but if Hulu revives Girl Meets World, they got a chance at giving Fuller House some competition when it comes to revivals, also Hulu does revivals pretty well, The aforementioned show The Mindy Project got canned at season 3, put got 2 extra seasons on Hulu. Also Hulu is partly owned by Disney.

What isn't owned by Disney? Amiright?

Well technically they own 30% of Hulu the rest is owned by 21st Century Fox, NBC Universal, and Turner Entertainment.

So basically I think Girl Meets World should move to Hulu, it can get more seasons, more episodes, and possibly make the show better.

Now I know not a lot of people like Hulu because it has commercials, they recently added a commercial free option so you guys good? I hope so. Also depending on where you live in the world it might be airing on another channel/service I really don't know I don' work for these companies this is just my opinion.

What do you guys think? Tell me in the comments and I'll see you next time.
