    "Baby,please don't forget to pick the children from school today. I will be going for a meeting in church today. Please don't fail to pick them oo", I said.

     " I am so sorry but I can't, I will come home late. So please pick the children from school. ",Ebuka said as he wore his cloth.

      " I HV been telling u about this meeting for a while now and u agreed to pick Vidya and Victor from school wen the time comes. So y are u changing mouth now?", I said trying to keep my cool

     "Fine,fine. I'll pick them from school later today", he finally gave in.

      "Thanks a lot. I love u", I said as I kissed him and left.

      " Guys  hurry up and eat. I need to be at the shop before 8 o'clock. ",I said to the Vidya and Victor.

      " Okay,we are done. Let's go.",Vidya said.

     "Mum don't forget to pick us from school", Victor reminded me as we walked to the car.

      " Your dad will pick u guys no worries", I said.

     "Dad is always busy. He won't pick us", Vidya said.

      " He will,I promise",I assured them.

      "Hey guys", I said as I walked into the house.

     " Hey mum,welcome ", Vidya and Victor greeted with a frown on their faces.

     " What's wrong, Victor? Did I do something wrong?", I asked Victor.

     "You promised to pick us up but u refused. We told u Daddy is to busy to pick us up from school but u assured us he will pick us. Well,he didnt . Goodnight mum", Victor said as him and Vidya went to their rooms.

    I stood and watched as my children went to their rooms with frown on their faces.

Ebuka P. O.V

      " Hey honey,how are u?", I asked as I walked into the house.

      "Am good welcome dear", she said in a dull manner as she took my bag from me and headed towards the stairs.

      " what happened?. Are u angry with me?",I asked.

      "I can't believe it took u so long to realise it", she said as she stopped and walked towards where I stood.
  
        " What did I do this time? ",I asked as I took her hands in mine,she drew her hands away from mine. She must really be angry.

       " Thanks a lot the kids are mad at me. You promised me u will pick Vidya and Victor from school but u didn't. Is ur work more important than our children?",she yelled.

         " I forgot to pick our children from school but reduce your voice before u wake them up",I said trying to calm her down.

        Victor and Vidya are out of their rooms. "Mum,what happened?? Why are you yelling?",Vidya asked as she stood on the stairs with Victor in front of her.

        " Dad welcome. Dad,why is mum shouting by this time of the night?",Victor said still feeling sleepy.

       "Its nothing, pumpkins. Don't mind your mum she's just stressed out. She's yelling for no reason. Go to bed", I said .

   " Ooohhh,am yelling for no reason ryt?", Mirabel asked angrily.

     "Would u shut up? What kind of upbringing are u giving this children if u yell at me in front of them?. (turning to my children I said) Go to your rooms I want to talk to your mother", I ended. They nodded and went back to their rooms.

      " What was that bullshit all about? Let this be the first and last time you shout at me in front of our children again. Mirabel Adebisi, don't let this repeat itself,is that understood? ", I said not waiting for her to reply I took my bag from her hand and walked towards the stairs.

      " No,its not over until I say its over. You HV not apologized to me and u must apologize to me first. How can u forget ur own children are in school? What if something had happened to them,what will u say?? Sorry??. I swear I won't spare u if anything happened to my children again. Nonsense ",she said angrily.

      Okay,that hurts. Is she saying am not capable of taking care of my own children??." What did u say?",I said really pissed at her statement as I stood right in front of her

     "You heard me. Nonsense man......", before she could complete it I slapped her twice on her cheeks.

      I didn't mean to do it,I got angry. Before I could apologize,she ran to the room and locked the door.
