Chapter 8
You kept your face void of emotions. The last thing you needed was to have her know the value of the information she held. She didn't need to know that your writing was something you were trying to keep secret from everyone. If she knew she'd surely use it as a weapon against you. "What exactly are you talking about Anko?" Her smile widened, but her eyes narrowed and she pointed her finger at you, "I'm talking about all that smut you have written in that little book of yours." You forced a chuckle out of your mouth, "So I have a journal with some naughty stuff written. I'm sure you have a diary with some saucy passages yourself." Her smile began to falter, but she didn't seem any less cocky, "I don't carry mine around. And I wouldn't keep mine secret from a certain scarecrow." You frowned. So she had seen your discussion with Kakashi. That meant she already knew how much power she held over you. That left you with only one option, but you'd have to wait for a proper opening.
"What do you want Anko?" Her smile returned. She knew she had you at her mercy. She turned away from you slightly and tapped her finger to her chin in mock thought, "Hmmm what oh what do I want?" She tilted her head to look at you again, "Well first of all I'd like for you to be a good girl and stay away from Kakashi. You've already taken one man from me, I don't think it's fair for you to take a second one from me." You puffed out a breath, "If you want Hatake you can have him for all I care. I don't want a relationship. Though it's not entirely up to me. It's also up to him, and right now he seems to be focussed on me." Anko's face contorted into a twisted smile and her eyes looked harsh, "I thought you'd say that." She began making hand signs while she continued to speak, "That's why I'll be taking YOU out of the picture, though Kakashi won't know that." You watched which hand signs she was making and you made some small hand signs of your own to give you some defense, but you did them behind your back so she wouldn't see. Your signs wouldn't keep hers from affecting, it would just make it so you could free yourself from hers easily.
Within moment's snake-like rope wrapped tightly around your body keeping you from being able to move. They also wrapped around your mouth, keeping you from speaking. She made a few more hand signs and you felt a tingling sensation as she made your body blend into your surroundings, essentially making you invisible to everyone other than her. She made one last set of hand signs and a cloud of smoke surrounded her. Once the smoke cleared you saw your own face staring back at you with a smug smirk. So this was her plan. You were somewhat curious to see what she'd do if she continued, plus you needed her guard to drop, so you made no move to stop her. Not even when she swung a kick at your head, knocking you to the ground. You skin stung where the gravel dug into the surface and you let out a small grunt of pain. She then delivered a swift kick to your ribs and another to your face. You could taste blood, but luckily she hadn't kicked your nose, so you could still breathe. You braced for another hit, but it didn't come. When you looked up at her she was smiling and stretching her arms above her head, "Ahh now that felt good. I can't go spilling your blood or that little mutt will smell it when he comes back and I don't want him cluing in any time soon." She moved and sat down on the milk crate you had been sitting on moments before. She rested her foot on your ankle and pressed down on it. You winced. She stared at your body laying before her and smiled again. She certainly seemed to be enjoying herself. You squeezed your eyes shut and tried to resist the urge to break loose and teach her a lesson.
A few minutes passed with her pressing your ankle into the ground while she waited for Pakkun to return. You heard small sounds from the far end of the alley and you opened your eyes to look. It was Pakkun returning with a swaying Kakashi trailing behind him. Once Pakkun spotted Anko (who looks like you atm) he let out a sigh, "I found him by the KIA stone. But now that I got him for you I'm going to get some sleep." And with that he vanished in a puff of smoke. You shook your head slightly, he didn't even get close enough for him to catch any scent. You could've been bleeding profusely and he wouldn't have smelled it from there.
Kakashi continued to sway his way towards Anko and she stood up, being sure to stomp down on your ankle one more time. "Kakashi! There you are. I've been worried sick!" She swayed her hips as she walked towards him. You nearly gagged at the site of your lookalike moving like that. You'd be long dead before anyone caught you acting like that. Once she reached Kakashi she slid her arms around his neck and leaned her head against his shoulder. "I'm sorry for making you upset Kakashi." She tilted her head up and smiled while pressing her body against his, "I've decided to embrace my feelings for you though, so why don't we head back to your place and spend some time together?" Kakashi turned his gaze onto her face. You could see that he was having some difficulty focussing on her properly due to the alcohol in his system. He didn't make a move, either to go with her nor to push her away. Anko decided to push it and moved one of her hands to the back of his head, slowly pulling him down, while her other hand moved to the edge of his mask, "C'mon Ka-ka-shi! I want you! Kiss me." You didn't want to watch this, so you began working against your bindings. Her guard was down, so this was going to be your best chance. Two birds, one stone. You were nearly free when Kakashi's voice caught your attention. "I'd love to go home and spend some time with you." You felt sick hearing him say those words to her, but his next actions and words made the sick feeling go away. He'd grabbed her wrists and pulled them away from his body and he was glaring at her with a deadly aura radiating from him, "I'd be all too happy, if you were actually Uta. But I know Uta would never act the way you just did. Plus you smell all wrong. Uta's hair smelled faintly like sandalwood. You reek of lilies. Not only that, but I know Uta's energy, and I'd never mistake someone else for her. Now where is my sweet Uta and what have you done with her?"
Anko glared at Kakashi, "She'll never return your feelings. She'd need a heart to be able to do that and everyone knows that she's a heartless bitch! Why not be with me? I don't mind if you pretend I'm her, so long as I have you." You broke free of your restraints and rushed towards her back as Kakashi's words echoed in the small alley, "I'd rather die than be with anyone other than Uta." You slapped your hand across Anko's eyes and did a memory jutsu, focussing only on her memories of your notebooks and your argument with Kakashi that she'd seen earlier. As the jutsu completed she fainted, causing all of her jutsus to fade, allowing Kakashi to see you and causing Anko to look like herself again. As Anko fell you caught her and lowered her to the ground, Kakashi releasing her wrists.
After she was lowered you sat back and rubbed your ankle slightly. You looked up at Kakashi and smiled. You felt the pain from your injuries react to all of your movement. You were definitely going to be bruised tomorrow. And based on Kakashi's reaction to your smile, you must already be showing some bruising now.
"Uta, What happened to you?!" You shrugged, "Anko decided she liked my looks better like this." Kakashi swayed slightly then lurched forward, kneeling in front of you and embracing you. You winced slightly from the pressure on your sore body, but didn't resist. "Why are you out here by yourself?"
"I was looking for you." Kakashi leaned away from you and looked you in the eye, "You were?" You giggled. He looked so innocent and so cute, the alcohol making him more childish. You nodded, "I did promise to get you home safely didn't I?" Kakashi pouted slightly, "Is that all?" You glanced away, debating on how much you should say. Odds were that Kakashi wouldn't remember too much come tomorrow, so you decided to show your vulnerable side, just a little. "I was also scared that you hated me for not telling you anything. Of all the people in the world, you're the only person that I couldn't stand it if you hated me. I wanted to make sure you didn't." Kakashi gently (Or as gently as a drunk person could) grabbed your face and turned it back to him, "I'd never hate you Uta. I'm sorry for reacting the way I did. Everybody has secrets. And I know you'll tell me yours when you're ready." You smiled, "Thank you Kakashi." "No problemo-" and with that, a very drunk Kakashi passed out leaning against you.
You glanced around, realizing that you had two unconscious people that you had to try to get back to their homes, and you were already sore and tired.
Crap.
