Part 5 : Shadows Of The Past

Obscure shadows of the past were making Neil discontented as everything is saturated with her thoughts. However, he seeks to hurl accusations, mockeries at Avni but can not deviate from that doomed truth that he loves her! And probably quite very much!!

She belongs to a simplistic family. Her parents stay at Lonavala whereas she stays at Mumbai in a private apartment. He knows everything about her.

Every tiniest detail of her life which she herself informed or even the unsaid!!

Her first crush, her schooling, friend circle!! Everything!!

It's authentic that due to his short-tempered nature Neil was fuming when he heard her talking with Ranveer like that but when he got back to his cabin, cooled down he thought of a few possibilities which might have happened!!

His possessive love was dominating his logical sensors a lot yet he was fighting a lot because when you love someone you try to re-rationalize even if you have proof right before your eyes against them!!

Has Ranveer somehow blackmailed Avni which is why she is doing this?? Because that guy has been after her since forever!! She herself told that to Neil!! Or is it someone else they were talking about?? She has one elder brother only!! So it's definitely not her sister!!

Other than this Neil didn't have any logical conclusion!!

But why is that stupid girl not telling him about any of these??

The way she reciprocates, looks at Neil, can they be deceitful??

With all these confusing philosophies Neil entered in the past remembering how things happened, the first time he yelled at her!! Her silly little mistakes...Her care..Her cutest antics...

His awful proposal...Her silence over that..

Their intimate moments and what not!!

With her being on his side he can't believe how fast time elapsed!! It's been almost 2 years but appears like just yesterday when he scolded her for the first time!!

All the flashbacks were playing inside his mind one by one...Her alluring face and that innocence is still the same!!

Flashback 1

"What's wrong with you girl...Eyes are for looking forward...so when you walk look at the front...Are you 5 or something?? Human beings have their eyes on the front of their head, not because ke piche dekh ke aage chalo..." As usual Neil Khanna was on his high horses and rambled at that cute timid creature who banged into him, accidentally!!

"I am sorry Sir...I was..." She strumbled and gathered herself back as well, "But Sirr!! Agar aisa hi hain naa toh head fixed hota naa ki flexible.." Her reply made him gawk at her for total five seconds in astonishment!!

"Now you want to discuss the human anatomy of why and how our heads move and tilt miss??" He ran his mouth in his defense after his astonished gawking session was over!!

She is wearing an orange attire and for some alien reason is looking cute even though Neil dislikes that color!! To the core!!

"Avni...Avni Mehta, new photojournalist...Aap naturally itne gusse wale ho ke koi training shaining li hain??" Informing him about herself she flashed all her pearly white teeth, asking that atrocious question at the end!!

But a few more insults welcomed her!!

Scoffing in a sarcastic way Neil smirked, "Tum toh blonde bhi nahin ho phir bhi itni dumb questions kaise puch leti ho??" He fired some more at her, "Aab ek lavz nahin...Suno meri baat acche se...Next time...

No excuses...I hate them...You are new so I am sparing you.. this time..

Now arrange all these papers and after you are done rearranging them I want them in my cabin..Exactly within 5 mins...

Naa ek min idhar na udhar...Hurry Up..." As he saw she was again ready to move her fearless lips hence pointing his index finger at the floor, Neil didn't waste a second and ran away from there before she starts another anatomy session, maybe on his finger this time!!

Another similar incident..Some 5th or 6th time when he blasted on her!!

"Seriously Avni?? That is your name right?? Who appointed you in this job??" He was walking to and fro in his cabin while Avni was standing there with an innocent face listening to all his rumbling!!

"You hired me, Sir..." Neil glared at her, he didn't ask her in that literal meaning, how dense is she??

"My bad...Then I should fire you as well...Pehli baat toh yeh ke ek saath itney sare gadbad? Tum gayi uss award event pe photo khichney ke jagat mata banne? Doosre channal ke reporter ko photos share kar ke aa gayi...Wow!!

Fine...Then...Uss kidnapping case mein survivor ki photos jab tumne doosre reporters se manga, diya usney tumhe?? Nahin...And you came with some blurry shit...chalo ye bhi theek hain...2 din nahin huwa

Par issbaar...due to emergency...Only that..

Tumhe ek kaam diya hain ke theek se spelling, grammar dekh loo...You know proofreading kehte hain isko...And youuu..Kiya hain ye bull crap??" It was pretty hard for Neil to talk all that at once as Avni kept gawping at his finger which he was dancing while venting his accumulated fury!!

"Sir...Aap tin din yaha thhey nahin..." He heard her murmur, "I had to work in double shifts...I am not giving you excuse...Par..woh meri neend puri nahin hoti hain naa toh main...Main boukhla jati hoon...4 mujhe 7 laagne laagta hain..6 lagta hain 9...Main kiya karoon..." She cried in her protest, her stole must be praying for life as she was twisting that fringe in a loop while talking further, "Isliye maine woh 6 reasons to keep yourself healthy and happy.. ke jagah...69 likh diya...I think main adhi neend mein thi..khaya bhi nahin tha theek se..

Par itna kyun bhadak rahe hain aap..." And there Neil was confused either to hear her or look at her fidgeting!!

"Kitna bolti hoo...Uff..

Read aloud what is published in the newspaper.." Avni trembled with his sharp bellow and next Neil heard the timid voice coming out of hers as she recited!
