~CHAT~

"Chat Noir!" Marinette called to me. I ran over to her.

"What do you need?" I asked.

"I wanted to know something," she replied. "How do you feel about Ladybug?"

"I love her with all my heart! She is amazing! Fantastic! Marvelous! Miraculous! Awesome! She's my everything and I would love it if she was my soulmate!" I explained.

"Is she not your soulmate?" Marinette asked.

"I don't know who my soulmate is. I don't even know where my symbol and writing are," I answered. "Do you know who your soulmate is?"

"Yeah..." she replied. I was wondering why she was covering her cheek. I had to ask her about it.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"I'd rather not say..." she mumbled, though, with my amazing cat senses, I was still able to make out her words.

"That's okay. You don't have to tell me. Uh... Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"You just did, but yeah, sure," Marinette replied.

"Why are you covering your cheek?" I asked.

"Oh... Uh... I... It doesn't matter..." she said.

"Is that where your symbol and writing is?" I asked.

"Yeah..." she answered.

"Can I at least see it?" I asked.

"No, but I can tell you what it says," Marinette said.

"Okay, what's it say?" I asked.

"It says 'I love you,'" she replied.

"I need to find my symbol and writing. Which is because my father doesn't want me to be looking for a girl. He wants me to focus on mod- on stuff...that's important..." I mentally kicked myself. I almost gave away who I am. Then I remembered I needed to get back to what I had been doing before: Protecting Marinette. Oh wait. I was right next to her. I'm stupid.

~MARINETTE~

"Can I tell you something?" I asked. I really wanted to tell him that I just found his writing... Well... Part of it anyway.

"Sure, what is it, Purrincess?" Chat asked.

"I found your writing," I announced. Chat went wide-eyed.

"You did? Where is it?" he asked.

"You'd have to detransform and look in a mirror to see it," I said.

"Where do you live?" Chat asked.

"Yes, you can come to my house," I answered before he even asked if he could come. Wait... Why was I allowing him to come to my house? What is up with me? Maybe it's the fact that he's my soulmate. Wait... Adrien isn't my soulmate... This is horrible! I mean, sure, Chat Noir is great, but I love Adrien! I mean, I love Chat Noir, too...but... Why am I thinking this?!

"Okay," Chat replied, shocking me out of my thoughts. I led him to my house and when I walked into the door and Chat Noir followed, my parents freaked out.

"OH MY GOSH, IT'S CHAT NOIR!!!!" Mom shouted.

"So, you brought home a superhero? I thought you'd bring home Ad-" Dad started.

"Don't say it!" I yelled. "And yes, I brought home a superhero."

"Well, you two can head on upstairs and Chat Noir, would you like to stay for dinner?" Mom asked.

"Uh...sure," Chat replied. Ugh. Did he have to stay for dinner?

I led Chat Noir up to my room and forgot why I even brought him up there. Oh. It was for him to see his writing.

"You just detransform and look at your writing," I said. "I need to go the restroom."

"Okay," Chat said.

~CHAT~

"Plagg, claws in," I said and detransformed back into Adrien. I looked in the mirror and tried to find my writing and symbol.

Then I saw it and I became quickly confused.

The writing said 'I love you too' and the symbol was a sewing needle. I had no idea what that meant! Who sews? Maybe Ladybug sews? Maybe. Probably not. I'd have to ask her, though, next time I see her.

"Plagg, claws out!" I chanted and transformed into Chat Noir once again.

"Is it okay for me to come out now?" Marinette asked.

"Yeah!" I replied. She came out and for a second, I thought she kinda looked like Ladybug. She wasn't Ladybug, though, right? It would be nice if she was, but she wasn't.

I sighed and Marinette gave me a confused look.

"Why are you staring at me?" she asked. I was staring at her? Oh. Heh. Whoops.

"Oh, sorry, I was just thinking," I replied. It was true, just not the entire truth.

"It's okay. If you don't mind me asking..." I started. "Who is your soulmate?"

"I don't know," I stated plainly.

"So, you probably haven't met your soulmate yet," Marinette said.

"Maybe, but I really want my soulmate to be the person I like," I said.

"Maybe it is. Maybe your symbol is something about them that you don't know yet," Marinette explained.

"You're right. I don't really know anything about what she does..." I replied truthfully. "To be honest, I don't really know anything about her."

~MARINETTE~

"What was your symbol and writing?" I asked.

"It said 'I love you too' and the symbol was a sewing needle," Chat replied. That just confirms that he really is my soulmate. I sew, so I'm his soulmate. This is great.

"Oh... I wonder who that could be..." I said, trying to sound as unsuspicious as possible.

"Yeah... Maybe it's Lad- I mean...the girl I like..." Chat laughed nervously.

"Wow..." I said without thinking.

"What's wow?" Chat asked.

"Oh, uh... Wow... I'm not Ladybug! I wish I was, but I'm not! Heh... Yeah... I'm definitely not Ladybug. Nope! Not at all!" I said nervously. He probably found that very suspicious.

"Wait...you're Ladybug?!" Chat exclaimed.

"Who? M-me? Ladybug? N-no... I could n-never be as aw-awesome as L-Ladybug..." I stuttered. What was up with me? I never stutter like this in front of Chat Noir!

"You are, aren't you?" Chat asked.

"Well..." I started. "Yeah..."

Then Chat hugged me. "I'm so glad it's you!"

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah! Turns out, we do know each other as our civilian selves!" Chat said.

"Oh, really?" I asked. Chat nodded. "But don't tell me who you are yet."

"Okay, I won't," he promised.

"Good," I said. "Now...about my writing and symbol..."

"What about them?" Chat asked. I took my hand off my cheek.

"My soulmate..." I started. "Is you."
