Writing new songs was still difficult.
I tried to get inspiration here and there, but none of them seemed to help. I had already written a few songs that I liked, but but haven't written anything else since then.
I sighed as I took a sip of my coffee. I looked out the window of the cafe, and watched the cars as they passed by, and the people as they went about their day.
I heard the door of the cafe chime, and couldn't help but look up to see whichever person walked through the door to get their dose of caffeine for the day.
To my surprise, it was the same curly-haired lad as before from last week. I haven't seen him since I brought his journal back to him.
He walked in and went to order. I continued to drink my coffee, and eat my breakfast. As I was almost done eating, I noticed that someone had
walked up and was standing in front of me.
I looked up, and it was him. "Hello." He smiled kindly, greeting me.
I smiled back kindly and said, "Hi, there."
"I'm sure you remember me, uhm, I didn't really get the chance to thank you properly before, so I just wanted to say thank you for bringing my journal back to me." He thanked.
"Of course! no problem. It was the kind thing to do." I tell him.
"Yes, it was. Well, I don't want to be too much of a bother. I'll leave you to your breakfast." He said, giving me one last kind smile before leaving.
Such a nice lad I thought.

After the encounter with the curly-haired lad yesterday, I surprisingly saw him again today. I admired his casual look as he walked in, which was; a pair of jeans, a jacket, and a blue top underneath.
I ate my breakfast, and scrolled through my notifications on Twitter. There were numerous people asking where the album is and when it's coming out. I hated that I always have to tell them that I'm still working on it.
"Is it okay if I sit?"
I looked up and saw the lad standing there.
"Oh, hi! yeah, of course you can, have a seat." I agreed, gesturing my hand to the chair across.
He placed his coffee and journal on the table, before taking a seat.
"I'm Harry." He introduced himself, reaching his hand out to shake mine.
"Louis." I introduced myself, shaking his hand.
"I actually already knew your name-having seen it on the first page of your journal." I said, laughing lightly.
"Oh, right." He laughed lightly as well. "Thanks again by the way."
"No problem." I replied.
"So, you seem to come here every day it looks like." He said, taking a sip of his coffee.
"Yep, every morning I come here for breakfast." I tell him. "It's the only cafe that has good stuff." I said as I took a piece of my breakfast and chewed it slowly.
"Ahh, I see. I usually just go to any cafe really. I guess this one does have some popular taste."
I nod in agreement. I looked down at his journal, and couldn't help but ask, "So what is it that you write in this thing?" I gestured to the object sitting on the table.
"Just stuff." He shrugged.
"Stuff?" I questioned, raising a brow.
"Yeah, private stuff I never really shared. It's just silly stuff really." He shrugged again.
"Hm, I remember when I used to have a diary. I mostly wrote about stuff that happened in my life, at school, or at home. I would write about my days as well, and how they went. I would also rant a bit if I had a bad day." I randomly mention.
"I feel like everyone has had a diary in their life to be honest." He chuckled, lightly.
"Yeah, even my sisters did. They kept theirs hidden very well. I kept mine hidden at the top of my closest, but in the very far corner where no one could reach."
"I just keep my journal in my draw, and have a key to open it." He said.
"What if someone were to find the key and open it though?" I asked curiously.
"Oh, I carry it with me." He reached into his pocket and took out what I assumed was the key to the draw.
"Now that's clever." I complimented.
He suddenly got a text, and reached into his pocket to check his phone. He reads it, and then puts it away back into his pocket.
"Thanks. To be honest, some of the stuff I wrote in it is just ridiculous really. It's just a bunch of poems and stuff." He confessed as he took another sip of his coffee.
"Poems?" I questioned in surprise.
He nodded, placing his coffee back on the table. "Yeah, some are personal and private though; others, I just got from inspiration."
"Inspiration you say? hm." A thought suddenly came to my mind.
"What?" He asked, noticing my tone of response.
"Okay so you probably didn't know this, but I'm actually singer." I confessed.
He looked at me surprised. "A singer? a famous singer?" I nod.
"And I've been having difficulty trying to come up with new songs." I started to explain.
"And this has what to do with my journal? not saying it does, but I feel like that's what you're implying here?" He caught on.
"I was wondering - if you're okay with it that is and you don't have to agree to it - but I was wondering if I could maybe use your poems as inspiration?" I requested. "Only If it's okay with you. You can decline if you want, I'm not going to pressure you or anything."
He twisted his lips and thought for a moment.
"The things I wrote are quite personal, and I wouldn't want them to be out like that. I'm a helpful person though, and I would help anyone if I could, but despite that, I kind of like my privacy." He said, declining the offer.
"It's okay, I understand. You want your privacy and I should respect that." I replied, honestly.
He sighed and looked out the window for a moment.
"Okay, I will think about it. I can't promise you anything though." He suddenly agreed.
"Wait, really? you'll think about it?" I asked, surprised by his sudden change of mind.
"Yes. This is only a one time offer though, so I won't be doing this again." He said, firmly.
"Of course, I get it. Just a one time offer, that's it." I accepted.
We exchanged numbers and continued to talk.
We decided to leave after a while, not realising how much time went by.
"It was nice seeing and talking to you again. We should hang here together more often." He suggested.
I nod in agreement. "Definitely."
I hope you liked this chapter!.xX
I changed something again in the first chapter. I decided to add Niall instead.
