Chapter 46

Hastinapur, Dwapar Yuga

Jayant Roy POV

"What are you thinking, Duryodhana?", The voice came from behind my back.

I looked at the mirror in front of me. I can feel his presence behind me, but I couldn't see him in the mirror. I knew that he was jesting with me, by making himself invisible. I slowly turned around, and saw him. Now in front of me, there was standing a carbon copy of Jayant Roy from 2019. He had a cigar in his right hand, looking at it intently.

"That cigar you gave me had something more than tobacco, isn't it?", I asked him.

Kali looked at me and smirked, showing a pair of sharp canines in his mouth. I took the cigar from him, and lit it.

"Well Duryodhana....", He tried to speak again but a gesture of my hand stopped him mid-speech.

"Call me Jayant. All these years, I was juggling in between my two identities but not now. The attack happened on the wife of Jayant Roy, Major Jayant Roy, Commando Jayant Roy. Now it's time to unleash the wrath of Jayant Roy....no...", I looked him directly at his eyes, " The wrath of Kali Yuga."

"Now that's the spirit.", Kali was grinning now. I knew that he cared for only the violence, not for life and not for death. But this time, even I was burning in the fire of revenge.

"So Jayant, you know who attacked you, isn't it?"

I looked at him.

"You also know that, isn't it?", Now I grinned at him, and puffed the smoke in his face, and the next moment he found his throat grabbed by my both hands and pinned in the wall. I started punching his face, battering it with my diamond hard fist. But Kali was still grinning. His bloody, battered face had an insane expression. I kicked him hard then stepped back.

"Now you let go of your anger, so let's do some work now.", Kali stood up and wiped the blood from his mouth. I was panting now, it was not tiredness, but anger and frustration.

"Why? You knew from the first day, but didn't tell me, why?"

Kali was still smiling, but now it turned into a loud laughter.

"Tell me, where is the fun in that? You never cheated in an examination, so how could I let you cheat in it? Now let's hear it from your mouth."

I listened to him, thinking about the sheer audacity of that demon standing in front of me. Kali was still laughing, but his eyes were focused at me. Then it ceased. His face had a dead serious expression now. A few moments passed in silence among us.

"Arjun told me that he saw a vague structure in the sky which was similar to the 'Sikhara' of temple. Now it only means one thing. It was a 'Vimana'....a flying machine. Now in this Yuga, only one man has a flying machine....The King of Salwa Kingdom. His 'Sauva Vimana', created by Mayasura himself was used in the attack on us."

"Well done, Jayant! You hit the bull's eye.", Kali gave me a soft applause.

"King Shalva, Poundrak Vasudev and Kichaka of Matsya Kingdom are trying o build an axis against us. After the defeat of Magadha, the balance of power is destroyed. The rider of politics in this land is shifting rapidly. Each and every one of them may be trying to gain profit from it, and these three players are not an exception."

"Then what are you waiting for? Raise an army and let's march to Maitrikavati."

I looked at Kali, who was literally bouncing with excitement.

"Not now, dimwit."

His face changed drastically. It became similar with a kid who just denied a chocolate. Even in my frustration, I couldn't help but smile a bit.

"This is my war. I will fight it alone. I will fight it in my own terms. I will not burn Hastinapur in the pyre of my vengeance. Let those fools think that they are untouchable. Let them made mistake. I will hurt them, and this time, they will not know what hit them!"

"Marvelous! You are delivering lines like Raaj Kumar. Yeh bandook bhi hamari hogi, goli bhi hamari hogi, waqt bhi hamara hoga, jagah bhi hamara hoga...wow! By the way, you gave that gun to Draupadi. Don't you need that again?"

Now I was becoming annoyed. That bloody demon was now messing up with my goddamn mind. I was ready to give him a piece of my mind, when I saw changing his form. In a moment, I saw Devapriya standing in front of me, her hands clutching her belly, and an angry expression in her face.

"They killed our unborn baby, Aryaputra! Don't spare them!"

I looked at her, anger blazing in my eyes.

"Listen you bloody fool, and listen carefully. Don't ever try to do that again, or else, you will not live to die in the hands of Kalki Avatar, because I will kill you right here, right now! Do I make myself clear?"

'Devapriya' smirked at me then she gave me a perfect army salute.

"Sir, Yes Sir! Right away, Sir!"

Then her form changed again and again a replica of Jayant Roy stood in front of me. But now he had a very serious expression again.

"Let me give you a last advice, Jayant. You are heading towards a personal crusade, but can you fight it alone? You are not Bhishma, Drona, Karna or Arjun who had an arsenal of powerful celestial weapons in their quiver. But you have just five celestial weapons, two of them are non lethal. So, you need to plan carefully, very carefully. But Bhargava gave you the Rudrastra and you can utilize it in the most unique way. Not even the names I mentioned before can use it that way. The astras can be used while invoking on a weapon...like an arrow or spear. But Jayant, you have your boon that means you can invoke the astra while using your body as a conduit."

"What are you saying?", Now for a moment, I was literally shocked.

"It sounds strange but it is the perfect truth. These astras are not what you have seen in these previous years or what you had seen in television. They are nothing but raw, unadulterated energy. Now tell me, what is the law of conservation of energy?"

"Are you a science teacher now?"

"Humor me, Major."

I heaved a deep sigh, "The law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created, nor be destroyed and but it can be converted from one form to another form. It also implies that the total energy of an isolated system remains unchanged over time. The first law of thermodynamics also says that energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. But now, if what you are saying is true and if I can really invoke the energy while using my body as a conduit, then, hypothetically, I can manipulate this energy by using my mind, because while invoking a celestial weapon, the warrior needs to focus."

"Again, you hit the bull's eye. But one thing Jayant, a warrior must have total knowledge of his strength and weakness. Now wake up from your sleep and do some work."

I woke up and found myself on my bed, drenched in sweat. That demon came to me in my dream and gave me some tips, which I am very inclined to try. I looked up at the sky and saw the first ray of the Surya Narayana slowly cutting the darkness.

"On your feet, Major, because you have a long day to go."

On the same time, Mathura, Dwapar Yuga

Sri Krishna was standing on the window of his room, looking at the rising sun. The soft sunlight of the dawn engulfed the supreme one, resulted in a calm smile in his lips. Though inside his mind, he was thinking about a turbulent mind. Jayant Roy, one man was standing in front of the wheel of fate and time. His constant manipulation created drastic changes in this timeline. But what the King of Salwa kingdom did to him...that foolish king didn't know that he invited his doom with that blunder.

Today, Kali came into Jayant's dream and gave him some advice. With his boon, his pure devotion and his stone hard mind, Jayant could easily invoke the Rudrastra in his body and that would give him uncanny amount of power. The energy of the astra can be manipulated by a formidable mind into each and every type of energy and can be used in a vast amount of ways.

"He will unleash the wrath of Kali Yuga on the ground. He will burn his enemies in the fire of his carnage."

The supreme one slowly came back from his trance like state to greet his wife, Devi Satyabhama, who just entered into the room. But then he saw her crunching her nose slowly.

"Aryaputra, can you smell that? Something is burning, but it is entirely new sensation for me. I never smelt anything like that."

Shree Krishna gave a small smile to her and embraced her in his arms.

"That smell should be the least of our concern, love. My Jyesth has a favorite student who is now walking to the path of carnage, and we should worry about that. He is burning in fire and if not controlled, this fire will consume the whole Aryavart." He told his wife, while inhaling the faint smell of gunpowder. The smell was nothing but a reminder of the future, of the carnage Jayant Roy would unleash on this land.
