When he got his quirk at the age of five, his father started to train him to use it. The training would go until he collapsed. One day, his mother had enough and tried to intervene. The father smacked her away as she was trying to reason with him.

When he was seven, he overheard his mother on the phone telling someone that she couldn't take it anymore. His eyes widened as he walked into the kitchen. As she stared at her son, she noticed that he shared similarities with her abusive husband. In a fury, she poored boiling water on his face. She tried to calm the effects of the hot water by using her ice quirk. It didn't work that well and he had a scar over his eye.

When he was 10, he decided to not use his fire side to anger his father. He had enough of his father and ran away when he was 14. He then met the LoV in an abandoned storing building.

He was trained for a year to become stronger in the art of villainy. He also assisted in some low-key crimes before meeting Izuku Midorya aka the villain, Deku.
