You heard someone yelling your name and you opened your eyes, Eren's face showed up in front of you and he looked really worried

"E-Eren?" you mumbled still feeling sleepy

"(First name)! are you alright?? Are you hurt??" you sit up and looked down on yourself to find you unharmed

"Yes, I guess so" he looked relived

"Thank god, those bastards kidnapped you too, I swear that I will kill them once I get these ropes off" he barked angrily, you noticed that your hands were tied together in the back and you struggled wanting them off

"Where are we?" you asked looking around, this place somehow looked familiar

"It's the forest where we captured Annie, they brought us here for whatever reason they had" your eyes widened

"A-Annie??" you asked confused, Eren recalled that you knew nothing about what happened during that time since you were with the group that was send to the forest

"Annie is the female titan who whipped out Levi's squad during the titan capture operation, I was forced to fight her but unfortunately before I could defeat her she protected herself with some kind of diamond barrier that sealed her body off" your eyes widened

"W-What...?"

"Berthold and Reiner are her accomplices with who she developed the plan to take out the civilizes on this island, we only figured his out recently and as we confronted them things got out of hand and they went berserk" your body froze and your eyes turned empty, Eren's words sounded so real, he was not lying you were sure of it, the look in his eyes was pure hatred

"But Reiner... he... this can't be...all this time he was..." you bit your teeth and dropped your head, a small tear rolled over your cheeks, what in the world was happening and why was Reiner involved in it?

The sound of gas preasure made you lift your head and you saw Reiner landing on one of the branches, his eyes made contact with yours immediately

"YOU BASTARD I WILL RIP YOU APART ONCE I GET OUR OF HERE!!!!" Eren threatened

"Shut up!" Reiner hissed and walked straight up to you. His large figure stopped in front of you and he stared in your eyes, his expression was different than it usually was, it scared the hell out of you. Who was the man who stood in front of you?

"Come with me" he said and grabbed your arm, he pulled you up and dragged you behind him. Berthold reel in his wire and let Reiner walk past him

"Don't take to long" Berthold said

"I'll make it quick" he replied and jumped off the tree with you.

He placed your feet down and seated you against a tree, your eyes avoided his completely since you could not believe that he was a bad person and responsible for so much trouble up till now.

"Excuse the ropes... but I had to make sure you don't escape" you stay quiet and waited until he moved away from you

"This must be a shock for you... I can totally understand how you feel right now, you must hate me to death am I right?" you let his words sink in for a moment until you finally managed to open your mouth

"You are wrong... I do not hate you, I just... want to understand the reason why you are doing this" he sit down and stared at the sky

"Explaining everything would take to long... but I like you to know one thing, when I was with you I never put on a fake act, I was... always myself and I trusted you blindly, I still do"

"If that's true... then... why did you never trust me with the fact that you are a titan? Was it too difficult to tell me this? Instead you... lied to me all along" he finally looked at you

"Because... I realized a long time ago who you are, and I never wanted you to hate me. I wanted to show you that I am a good person who is able to protect you at all costs but I failed ... the promise I made you back then, I was not able to hold it" your eyes widened

"Back then, we dream of a world that lived in peace . We wanted to travel together, all these precious moments we had stayed with me and I never forgot about them, but right now... I am not able to dream anymore, everything went the way it never should have and I ended up dragging you in it, I messed up your life even more and I cannot expect you to forgive me... but this is far from over, the reason why I am doing this is not because I want to, it was placed on my shoulders to carry out by other people"

"T-There is always another way, you don't have to do something if you don't want to!"

"I have no choice, this is all I was ever trained for, since I was a little child I had the dream to live in peace together with my parents but this dream was always far away, in order to make it real I decided to become a soldier and fight for piece and freedom, in order to reach this goal I have to fulfill this mission... the people on this island are called demons by my people, they carry evil blood and have to be exterminated..." you stood up

"Don't tell me, you intent to kill everyone on this island? Why are these people evil?? What have they done wrong that makes your people call them demons??" he stood up to and stepped forward

"Even if I told you I can't expect you to understand, even I do not fully understand it"

"What... but... I am one of these people too, the same blood flows in my veins... I am a so called demon myself, why do you see me with different eyes? What is different about me?" he stopped right before your face and pierced your shaking crying eyes, his right hand stoke over the necklace tracing the structure of it

"You are... special, that is all I can say for now... I only found out a while ago myself and I was ordered to take you to my hometown, I beg you to come with me and listen what my people have to say" you were shocked and confused

"S-Special? What are you saying? How can you know that? I am just an ordinary girl, there is nothing I could possibly have that is special" he undid the ropes in your back

"I am sorry, I want to tell you more but I have no information's myself... I was only ordered to take you and Eren with me, please do me the favor and follow me, I promise that I won't hurt you or Eren if you come along queitly" you looked into his eyes, he was saying the truth but still the whole thing sounded really strange, why would his people want to have you and Eren? Nothing made sense at all, you were fighting a war inside your head to decide what to do. After some moments you finally made a decision

"I refuse, I won't go with you" he looked at you with big eyes

"I cannot leave this place, my friends are still out there fighting the titans, if they are going to be killed by you and Berthold then I will stand by their side and fight if I must. I am still a child from this island and I will not abandon it just because you say I am special, I swore the day I entered the cadet corps that I will fight for man kind and I devoted my life to the survey corps, I am going to hold my word and do as I swore to do. The slums were a dark place and I experienced much pain and hatred but I will never abandon this place as long as the people still believe in us soldiers!"
