First Hollow Runin

He and I covered our ears as a humungous roar sounded.

"Hollow..." He and I both whispered. He looked at me in surprise.

"How do you-"

"RAAAAAAAAAWR!"

Chad was suddenly picked up and flung from the seat. I screamed in panic as he fell towards the ground.

"CHAD!" I screamed, uselessly reaching out as if to stop his fall and bring him back.

Suddenly, something wrapped around my body, picking me up and making me face an incredibly tall hollow, though it wasn't one of the super big ones with pointy noses. What are those called again?

"Such a delicious Soul!" Cheered the hollow, who looked like a gorilla.

"LET ME GO!" I yelled, bringing my small fists down on its hand.

Then I remembered, my pocket knife!

It was a small struggle to get the small blade from my pocket. The hollow laughed as I flipped it open.

"Pathetic!" It mocked as its grip gradually began to tighten. I coughed harshly, covering my mouth and cringing in pain. Something sticky and warm splattered into my palm and my eyes widened. I looked at my hand to see it stained red.

"LET.ME.GO!" I yelled furiously, stabbing its hand with each word.

"Ha! That tickles!" It laughed. It threw me upwards into the air and opened its jaws wide. Helpless tears escaped my eyes as I fell towards it.

I'm so damned weak!

I ground my teeth together as I decided not to go down without a fight. As I entered its mouth, I plunged my knife into the roof of its mouth, cutting it the whole way down until my body wouldn't take the panic anymore and shut down, the hollows pained screams still ringing in my ears.

I woke up, screaming loudly, as I shot into a sitting position. A thin layer of sweat coated my face as I clamped a hand over my mouth to muffle my scream and tried to calm myself as I noticed I was in a room, not a stomach.

The door slid open and I looked over, wild eyed, to see a familiar blonde man clad in green. He had a fan opened in front of his face and his green and white hat pulled down to shadow his eyes.

"U-Urahara?!" I gasped before I could stop myself.

"Ah, nice to meet you, Emily-chan." He said in a cheerful voice, not questioning how I knew him. "How are you doing?" He asked as he entered the room, sitting beside my cot.

"Fine... How do you know my name, if you don't mind my asking." I murmured quietly, looking at my lap and taking into account I was now wearing a white robe similar to the one Rukia wore when she was supposed to be executed. "A-And who c-changed me?" I stuttered, my cheeks becoming pink.

"Ah! Don't worry! Orihime-chan changed you!" Kisuke assured with a chuckle. "And I know you because I'm the reason you're here."

"Eh...... What?" I asked blankly. He chuckled again.

"Didn't you wonder once who'd sent you that cloak, silly girl?" He teased, snapping his fan shut and poking my forehead with the end. I scrunched up my face from the sound of impact, which was barely audible.

"Why would you want me here, Kisuke-San?" I asked shyly, rubbing my forehead. He grinned with a shrug.

"I was bored?" He answered, though it sounded suspiciously like a question. I didn't question it though.

"Okay...."

"So tell me, I'm well aware you know what happened in our past. But were you not afraid of that hollow?" He asked curiously just as the door slid open and Tessai entered, carrying a tray with two tea cups. "Ah! Thank you Tessai!" Kisuke smiled as Tessai handed him some tea.

"Thank you." I said with a small smile as he handed me some as well.

"You're welcome." He said before leaving. I sipped my tea before answering Kisuke.

"I wasn't really..." I answered quietly, tracing the edge of my cup. "I was scared for Chad though....." I mumbled, even quieter. It was barely audible, yet Kisuke heard.

"Ah, I see." He smiled, pausing to sip his own tea. "You aren't afraid of much, are you, Emily-chan?"

I shook my head and he hummed interestedly.

"Spiders?" He asked.

"No sir."

"Snakes?"

"No sir."

"Bats?"

"No sir."

"The dark?"

"No sir."

"Blood?"

"No sir."

"Death?"

"No sir."

"Clouds?"

"No si- wait what?" I blinked in confusion. He wore a playful grin, and I felt myself relax as I shook my head with an amused chuckle. "No, not clouds either." I said lightly, sipping my tea.

"Why do you fear for chads health then?"

I choked a bit on my tea, and Kisuke patiently waited until I had calmed enough to answer.

"B-Because he's my friend..." I mumbled, though that was only half of it, feeling my cheeks visibly redden. He must have noticed because he chuckled, muttering a teasing 'I'm sure', before taking a sip of tea.

"So you are, in fact, feeling alright?" He asked.

"Yeah. I have a minor headache, but it'll most likely be gone in a bit." I smiled. "Thank you very much for helping me, Kisuke-chan." I added with a bow of my head.

"You are very welcome!" he said with a grin. "Well then!" He continued cheerfully, setting down his tea cup and clapping his hands on his knees. "You two can come in now!"

The door slid open to reveal...
