Chapter 14: Fellow Criminal..

Mark Fischbach

Despite how broken we all felt, we kept running, we had to get out of this situation before we did anything else. My legs began to feel numb as the three of us ran through a nearby alleyway, we slowed down, realising we had got away.

"That was surprisingly easy to get out of.." Sean muttered, and couldn't have been any closer to the truth. It felt a little too easy.

"All that matters is that we got away, but still keep a close eye out guys.." Felix instructed, Sean and I nodded, slowly making our way through the depths of the alleyway. We suddenly heard the sound of soft footsteps from behind us and a somewhat quiet, feminine voice.

"Felix? Sean? Mark?" The woman spoke softly. We turned around, my eyes locked onto her.

"Who are you?" Felix questioned, aiming his handgun at the young woman, who looked about the same age as us, maybe younger, Sean also aimed his crossbow at her.

I stood there in silence, admiring the woman that stood before me, her obsidian, dark hair swept delicately past her shoulders and her bangs fell gently above her eyes. She slowly pulled down her black hood and put her hands into her hoodie's pockets. I could now see her pretty, blue-green eyes.

She let out a small, uncontrollable laugh before talking, "Ah, you don't know me, but I certainly know you all." A knowing smirk formed slowly on her face, "You guys are big talk in the criminal world." She placed her left hand on her hip and leaned to the side a little, tilting her head slightly.

From peripheral vision, Felix and Sean were looking at each other, then at me and then back at the woman.

"I'm Rebecca, Rebecca Valenté." Her smirk turned to a smile as she introduced herself, I watched as her eyes wandered over me and we made eye contact. I couldn't stop the small smile on my face, Rebecca's face tinted light pink but she soon snapped out of it when Sean opened his mouth to talk.

"What do you want anyway?" Sean asked quite rudely, still armed with his crossbow.

Rebecca raised an eyebrow, "Someone's got their dick stuck in a mousetrap." She muttered under her breath, it was quite audible.

So, she's got a sense of humour.

I struggled to hold in my laughter and so did Felix, but we managed to. Sean scowled and tried to aim his crossbow at Rebecca but Felix pushed his grasped weapon of choice down with his arm, stopping him.

"Anyway.. I need your guys' help, the only problem is that I have no source of transport so its merely impossible to get to the designated place.." Rebecca explained, crossing her arms.

"Where are you heading?" I questioned politely, trying to snap out of the zoned out phase I was in.

"New Jersey." Rebecca replied, "It's a 16 hour journey in a car, which is the easiest and safest way for me, but like I said, I don't exactly have a car."

"How can we trust you?" Sean retorted, he had a lot of trust issues, which was understandable, yet I trusted her completely and I wasn't sure why.

"Well, if I wanted to kill you then I would've already.." Rebecca slowly lifted up her right hoodie sleeve, revealing three black shurikens. She proceeded to unholster an MP5, reloading it with ammo and holstering it again.

"3 against 1, think again." Sean glared, I had no idea what the fuck he thought he was doing.

"Underestimating me, huh?" Rebecca stated in a questioning tone. "You'll find out soon enough how dangerous I can be."

Felix Kjellberg

At this point, I didn't know how I felt about Rebecca, I didn't completely trust her like Mark seemed to, but I didn't find her untrustworthy like Sean did. I was kinda on the fence in this situation.

"What are you planning to do in New Jersey?" I asked, scratching the back of my neck.

"Blow up the biggest police station there... These American cops, they're all the fucking same." Rebecca sighed, crossing her arms and shrugging. "And since you guys are just killing cops you might as well just tag along. It didn't look like you had a plan anyway." She slyly suggested.

"How the fuck would you know?" Sean muttered, he still had major trust issues with Rebecca.

"Um, how about the fact you were running through an alleyway not even checking behind you?" Rebecca stated sarcastically, "For all you know I could've stabbed you while your back was turned." She had pretty much outsmarted Sean by now.

"Whatever.." Sean grumbled inaudibly, still gripping his crossbow quite tightly.

"You guys coming or what? Cause you might as well, you haven't got anything better to do." She half yelled, walking away.

I looked at Sean and Mark, beckoning them to follow, we were all a bit reluctant (well, not Mark), but we trailed behind anyway.
Mark walked ahead of us and decided to converse with Rebecca. Sean and I stayed back a bit and spoke privately.

"Why are we even trusting this bitch?!" Sean hissed, holding his crossbow tightly.

"Look, there's three of us, we can stop her if we have to." I stated quietly, "She's doing more or less the same thing we're doing. It would be kinda stupid to not join her, the more people help us the better." I tried to make a valid argument.

"We've always been fine without anyone else, the three of us trust each other and work together, that's how it goes!" Sean glared and raised his voice a little, he was getting increasingly angry.

Rebecca and Mark looked at us for a second but looked away and continued walking.

"Sean, seriously, forget about your fucking trust issues and have some damn hope at least." I replied, "You need trust to get through life, you trusted me and Mark didn't you?"

"That different! You were both there for me when... it happened." Sean went silent now.

"I know but... Just give her a chance at least.." I mumbled, Sean paused for a moment but then nodded briefly.

We continued walking, finally keeping up with Mark and Rebecca.

The alleyway we were walking through was incredibly long, probably the longest one we've walked through in the past year. Just as we were nearing the end of the alleyway, we heard sirens.. Not good.

Sean Mcloughlin

The five of us froze for a moment, red and blue lights began to blare and sirens soon began to go off behind us. We ran further back into the alleyway.

"Fuck. We're trapped." I stated, looking around. Nothing but red and blue lights blinding us.

"Shit." Rebecca muttered, "I hope you guys are good at jumping.." She remarked softly, looking up.

Felix, Mark and I looked up, seeing a very tall balcony ledge, unreachable by a single jump. What the fuck was she thinking?!

Rebecca unholstered a somewhat small climbing pickaxe, which was cleverly hidden behind her MP5, from her back. She turned around and stared at the opposing wall for a moment before glancing up a little and making a running jump.

Jumping up onto the wall, she quickly turned back, grabbed the ledge with her pickaxe and her spare hand and climbed up.

"Mark use this, pass it along afterwards." Rebecca instructed, as she kneeled down a bit and gave him the pickaxe, she stayed kneeled down.

Mark nodded briefly, grasping the pickaxe and jumping from off the wall, he managed to reach the balcony and Rebecca grabbed his hand to help him up. He passed the pickaxe to Felix and he did the same, Rebecca yet again helped him up.
I could hear the sirens getting closer and closer and had the urge to tell them to hurry the fuck up, but I knew that would only make matters worse, so I (metaphorically) bit my tongue and shut my mouth.

Soon the pickaxe was passed to me, and I did the same, Rebecca, by surprise, helped me up.

"Uh, thanks." I muttered, scratching the back of my neck and handing her her pickaxe back.

"Thank me later, for now, duck down." Rebecca responded, ducking down at the same time.

The four of us watched from behind the bars, seeing where the police were going, they had no clue where we went, all they knew is that we went up, and that was no help to them.

I cautiously looked around, checking where Felix and Mark were. Felix was on my left and Mark was on my far right beside Rebecca. I looked over at them, Mark moved a little, probably to feel a little more comfortable as he crouched, his hand awkwardly brushed against Rebecca's, they both went deep red.

I ruined the moment, "Oi, lovebirds, when are we getting out of here?" I whispered, Rebecca quickly stopped blushing and looked around cautiously. Mark was not happy with me, but I didn't care.

The police began to clear out of the alleyway, Rebecca slowly stood up and beckoned us, we stood up.
Glancing up at the next ledge, she climbed up onto the railing and climbed up onto the ledge, we followed her with ease and finally reached the top.

"Woah.." We all muttered.
