1) Only 20% of animal cruelty cases are ever reported

2) Approximately 6.5 MILLION animals enter shelters across the U.S. ALONE every year

3) Of those, only 1 million are adopted each year.. If you think about it, in 2 years, 13 MILLION animals are brought into shelters, and only 2 million are adopted. That sucks.

4) Only 5% of cruelty cases involve dogs 

5) Adopt your next pet from PETA. They are not set up as a shelter and have to euthanise most of the animals they rescue, so give an animal a shot at life.
