1. Your real name.

Karishma Gupta

2. A little about yourself.

I am a Bachelors of Commerce with Finance as specialisation from the St. Xaviers, Kolkata. I am currently at the Final level of Chartered Accountancy and hoping to become one in a couple of months :) I am mostly a very shy and introverted person and very attached to my family and my small group of friends.

3. How long have you been on Wattpad and how has Wattpad changed your life?

I have been on Wattpad since August, 2015. So it's been nearly one and a half years. Now when I want a good read I don't have to pull my hair out... there are so many good books at my disposal here on Wattpad. That's an amazing feeling to have for a person who has to read before falling asleep :P

4. What inspired you to write book?

Frankly, I never thought I had any talent or skill for writing. I have always been the voracious reader. But something about the maddening and mystical chemistry of PaNi (Parth and Niti) as we fondly call them, intrigued me very much to the point that it drove me to write about them and find an answer. That's what led to two of my first writings here on Wattpad, i.e., "Matters of the Heart" and" Beating Hearts"

5. Any plans to write a new book.

I am currently writing a book and I haven't been regular with updates for which I am very sorry to my readers. I would just like to complete that book to satisfaction first.

6. Have you ever been bashed for any book?

I have fortunately never received any negative comments or criticism. I have no idea what the term bashing entails. I am on Wattpad to read, occasionally write, appreciate other authors who write well and thank my own readers for reading. Other than that my interaction on this platform is nil.

7. A personality that has inspired you.

My parents, specially my father. I am immensely inspired by him and what he is purely as an individual.

8. What should a good book have?

I wish I knew! Then I would definitely be writing the best one. But honestly I think a good book should have a sincere author and a good intent to say something meaningful. A book is basically an author displaying his own thoughts and experiences through other characters. When a reader can feel the sincere intent of the author behind the book I think it connects with them strongly.

9. Your favourite book on Wattpad.

I can never pick a favourite. It's about the mood and time. There are so many good authors here who are so talented. "Chasing Red" is one book I have read over and again. But for the MaNan readers out there "Their happily ever after" is a very good read and needs to be appreciated more. I don't read much on MaNan because honestly the majority of writing on MaNan is not to my taste.

10. Your favourite writer on Wattpad.

I can't pick one! It's the book that determines my favourite author. In the MaNan genre xxenjoyinglifexx writes fabulously.

11. Your favourite movie.

Off the top of my head..... The Social Network, Pretty Woman, Titanic, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Love and Other Drugs, The Vow, Jab We Met, Chak de India, Rang de basanti, Tamasha... I could go on.

12. Your favourite actor and actress.

I am not a celebrity loving or hating person. I can appreciate performances in specific roles or movies, but other than that I find it hard to connect with a celebrity and I don't really have any favourites.

13. Your theory of life.

That sounds like a serious question : P Not really got my theory down till now I guess. But in simpler terms... Be kind and empathetic (not sympathetic) to other people and be sincere in whatever you do.

14. What does love mean to you?

I wish I knew. For now I have to go by what the movies and the books say. Or what betrayed and scorned lovers say. I will get back to you when I figure that out for myself.

15. Single/Relationship

Single.

16. Two words to describe your fans/readers.

Kind. Astute.

17. One word to describe yourself.

Adaptable 

18. Anything to convey to your readers.
