Saph's POV

When I landed after using shooting star I ran to the nearest town in search of Jolly. When I get to the village a sign hangs on the gate it says *Welcome to Barak*. Odd name for a village. I look around to see if I can find Jolly. I walk into a store that sells spell books. It wouldn't hurt to buy a few.

A basic spell book.

A book on potions.

The big book of curses.

The bestiary the guide to magic creatures.

A book on magic plants.

Last a book on divination.

Grace always said I needed to read more. I need a bag, so I went into a nearby tent and bought a bag that straps around my waste.

"It's perfect." I say.

I should get some everyday clothes. I see the exact ones I want.

I stick it in my satchel with my books.

*a few days later*

I walk into the market area to look around when a little mint blob runs into me.

"Finally! found ya." I say.

"Sorry." She squeals.

"Why are you squealing?" I ask.

"Hey Jolly! Wait up this stuff is too heavy." A boy says walking up to us.

I don't know who the hell this boy is or what he is like, but he better not make moves on her. I don't have feelings for Jolly for reasons. One I'm gay. Two she's like my sister.

"Oh! Jolly is this stranger bothering you?" He asks in an angry tone while giving me a death glare.

I'm gonna teach this boy what happens when a star explodes.

"No. This is my friend, Saph. He's basically my brother." Jolly says.

"Oh!! I'm sorry." He says.

I don't like him.

"...." I stay quiet.

"Let's change the subject. Saph, I can control lighting." She says excitedly.

"We're all doomed." I say.

"That's mean." She says.

"It's true." I say.

"Well me and Caleb were going to travel to find you guys." She says.

"Well Luna is probably looking for Grace right now if she hasn't already found her." I say.

"Who?" Caleb asks.

"Wow! Jolly you're gonna have him look for people he knows nothing about? Not even their names?" I say.

"You should be nicer to her." Caleb says.

That's it I reach in my satchel and pull out my big book of curses.

"Saph!? What's that? It's creepy!" Jolly asks alarmed.

"Nothing." I say as I find the page.

"Ok...." Jolly says.

"Before the night is over
Before the day is through
Whatever you have done to others
Will come right back at you." I whisper quietly.

Oh sweet revenge.

"Oh! I also think you guys should know before you go that there have been sightings of manticores in the forest. One girl went to investigate and the next day her body was found ripped to shreds on the edge of the village." I say.

"She's ok right?" Jolly asks hopefully.

"Think about what I just said." I say.

"She's dead isn't she." Jolly says.

"Yeah She is." I say.

"Wait! You're coming with me and Caleb right?" Jolly asks.

"Yeah! We could have sometime to bond." Caleb says.

"I don't have a choice do I?" I ask.

"Nope!" Jolly says.

"You'll just have to stay behind us for safety reason." Caleb says.

Excuse me! Did he just say stay in the back for safety reasons. Oooooh I'm gonna kill this boy one day.

"Excuse me?" I ask.

"You need to stay behind us for your safety." Caleb says.

"Caleb be careful." Jolly says.

"Of what?" He asks.

I grab a torch and discreetly light his butt on fire with it.

"OMG MY BUTT IS ON FIRE! JOLLY PUT IT OUT!" Caleb screams, running around in circles patting his burning clothes.

"Omg! Somebody get water!" Jolly yells.

"Hahahahaha!" I laugh.

This is too good.

"Saph stop laughing and help!" Jolly yells.

"Ok. Caleb go jump in the lake!" I yell.

He jumps in the lake.

"Thanks." He says.

"Well have fun on your quest to find our friends." I say.

"Your coming with us." Jolly says.

"But..." I try to say.

"No buts let's go." Jolly yells as she runs off.

"Wait for me!" Caleb yells.

"Ugh." I say as I walk after them.

"Hurry up purple dude!" Caleb yells.

"Ugh. Lord help me." I say.

"Ok we need to go through the thundering grotto." Jolly says.

"Or I can go to the portal tree and teleport to where Grace and Luna are and bring them here." I say.

"You mean you know where the celestial tree is!" Caleb yells.

"Well duh." I say.

"Only star wizards have access to it." He says.

I form a star in my hand.

"Oooh pretty." Jolly says as she tries to touch it.

"Jolly only star wizards can touch stars." I say.

"Oh. Anyway we can just ask Micah for help." Jolly says.

"You mean the shirtless guy who lives in there?" Caleb asks.

Ooooh this sounds interesting.

"Yeah let's go." Jolly says.

We walk in the grotto.

"MICAH!!!!" Jolly yells.

"What?" A voice from behind us asks.

I turn around to see a guy about my age with sky blue eyes and electric blonde hair. He also was shirtless.

"Hmmm. Jolly can I do a scan on your friends to see if they're trust worthy?" He asks.

"Sure." Jolly says.

He walks up to Caleb and shines a light over him.

"He's somewhat trust worthy." Micah says.

"Pfffh." I chuckle.

"Now you." He says.

"Ok." I say.

He shines a bright light over me.

"Your 100% trust worthy and I think we can be friends." He says.

"Thanks." I say with a small blush.

*your also 100% adorable* he says in my mind.

My face goes scarlet.

"Dude are you Ok?" Caleb asks.

"I-I'm Fine." I say.

"Well I'm going to be coming on your journey." Micah says.

"Yay now we have two new guild members." Jolly says.

"Who's the other member." I ask.

"Caleb of course." Jolly says.

"Jolly what are the guild rules about adding members?" I ask.

"I forgot about Luna's stupid rule." Jolly says.

"So I'm not in your guild?" Caleb asks sadly.

"No. All the guild members must vote to see if a member can join. The majorities favor." I say.

"At least I'll have two votes for me joining." Caleb says.

I fall on the ground laughing.

"What's so funny?" Caleb asks.

"I don't like you." I say.
