Preston Abbey

It took me ages to convince Charles not to charge right up to Ciel's manor, or 'that damned kid' house' as he put it, and just kill him right there and then.

The next day, Undertaker arrived at my manor after my call to collect the body of the assassin, who I still didn't know the name of. He died of shock from all the pain.

"Hehe, what a nice house you have!" Undertaker commented as he entered.

A smile lit up on my face as I hear the familiar laugh of this death god, "I've just come to realized that I in fact do miss your company."

"Hehe." Was all he said. As I led him to the basement I explained what happened.

"An assassin from the little earl?" He asked, tilting his head

I nodded, "That's what the man said before he died but... I'm not so sure about this. It doesn't seem like Ciel. What reason does he have to do it? Also, if he really wanted to kill me, he would just send that butler of his, and I would have no chance at all of coming out alive..." I pondered on all these questions as we walked along the corridors.

We reached the basement level of the manor, and I opened the door, revealing the mangled corpse of the assassin.

"Hehe, what a lovely body! My favorite kind!" Undertaker remarked as he went over to it, wrapped it up in a big cloth, and picked it up onto his shoulders. He effortlessly carried the body back up to ground floor and onto his open carriage. He dumped it into a coffin and shut the lid.

"Can you please inspect the body thoroughly and tell me anything that might be of use?" I asked.

"Of course, dear. Actually, I can do it as soon as I arrive back at the parlour. Do you want to come along with me for some tea as well?" He asked.

I shook my head regretfully, "Unfortunately I can't. The Queen has issued me a case of  the Aristocrats of Evil... with Ciel..."

"Hehe, is that so? Well, good luck." He said waving his sleeve-covered hand.

I waved back, "Thank you, and I think I'll be seeing you soon since Ciel often go to you for his cases."

I saw him off and returned back into the manor. I went back to my study and sat in my chair. In front of me laid the cream-colored envelop with the royal seal engraved on the red wax. And inside was the letter that Queen Victoria personally hand-wrote to me, telling me about this new case. Ash delivered it to me yesterday a while after Charles left. I realized with a sinking heart that I'd have to work with Ciel, who might have been trying to kill me for whatever reason.

I shook my head, trying to get those negative thoughts out of my head. After all, this still isn't confirmed yet and for all I knew Ciel might have nothing to do with it at all. I'd just have to bet on that for now. If I remember correctly this is the cult case where Angela tries to 'purify' Ciel and destroys the church building after being captured by Sebastian, Grell, and Will. Oh well, at least I get to see my favorite shinigamis.

-----

I looked over the religious building in front of me as I dismounted from my carriage. The exterior of this Abbey in Preston was less run-down than I thought it would be. I approached the man in some sort of occult uniform standing in front of the entrance to the abbey.

"How might I help you, miss?" The man asked with a kind voice.

"I believe I have an appointment with your leader." I replied.

"Ah, are you Lady Clarette? Please follow me." He opened one of the double doors and allowed me in. As we passed the residents of the Abbey they all politely nodded to me with smiles on their faces.

The man lead me into the main building of the Abbey. The inside looked just like any normal Christian churches, except for the circular glass window overhead with a strange symbol on it. I recongnised it to be the symbol burned onto Ciel's side. Underneath that, a person wearing a hooded cloak stood silently reading a book behind the altar. A hooded women stood behind that person.

The man approached the person and spoke, "Holy Leader, Lady Claret is here"

The leader nodded, "Very well. Leave us."

The man bowed to the leader and left us alone. As soon as he was gone, the woman from the back stepped forward and pulled down her hood.

"Angela?" I said.

"My pure one!" She said in a breathy voice, and immediately came to embrace me. I awkwardly patted her back. She backed away, but still holding onto my shoulders and staring into my eyes. "I am so glad you are here. Today we will witness the purification marking beginning of the great purge."

I assumed that she was talking about her trying to 'purify' Ciel, "Is that why you had Ciel 'investigate' this occult? Just to lure him here?"

"Yes. We indeed think alike, my pure one."

I looked over to the so-called leader of the occult, who was just silently watching us from under his hood.

"Who is this?" I asked.

With a wave of Angela's hand, the leader turned around and started looking at the mysterious book he was reading again. "He is just a puppet I deployed to make believe." Angela said dismissively.

Suddenly a few kids in those occult outfit ran out and came to where we were.

"An unclean one!" One of the kids said innocently.

"No," Angela said kindly, "She is a pure one. She the the epitome of what you should strive for."

"Really?" The kids looked wide-eyed at me.

"Yes, now go back to your rooms or our leader will be angry." Angela said.

"Alright! See you Miss Angelina!" The kids said, bowed to the leader, and ran back out somewhere.

"Ah, those kids, so gullible." Angela commented as she watched the kids running away.

Suddenly she pulled her hood back on and both she and the leader ran into a door at the side of the church. A few seconds later the door to the church was opened, and in came Ciel, Sebastian, and of course, our favorite 'gay red blob', Grell.

Ciel seemed to have noticed something else, and stared at it with a shocked expression I followed his gaze and realized was staring at the stain glass with the symbol that was burned on to his side on it.

"You?" Grell walked up to me, "You look familiar."

I pretend to be hurt, "Have you forgotten about me already, Grell?"

He squinted, then his eyes widened, "Ah! You are that girl that was controlled by that creepy doll!"

"Yep it's me!" I said happily, "But I'm now a baroness because the Queen decide to give Madame Red's title to me! Aren't you proud?"

"Meh." He shrugged.

I feigned hurt again, "Alright then."

"I see you are already here." Ciel said walking this way.

My elated mood of seeing Grell sank as I saw who was my once favorite earl, "Ciel. And Sebastian."

Suddenly the kids in the occult ran out again, "Good evening! Another wonderful day today, was't it?"

"Well, aren't you cute?" Grell comment. "I don't really do kids though."

The kids ran up to Grell and said innocently, "Hello, unclean one! You're impure through and through, I see."

"What!?" Grell's eyes widened.

"Hmm? What's wrong, unclean one? Are you ill?" One of the kids asked innocently again.

Grell knocked that kid on the head, "You little brat! Who are you calling unclean!?"

"Wah!" The kid cried, "An unclean on touched me!"

"We need to be cleansed!" The other kid said. And all of them ran back into the door that they just came from.

A woman in the occult uniform walked out of that door at the same time, and smiled when she saw the kids running back in, "Everyone over a certain age is called 'unclean'." She looked around at us, "I see from your clothing that you are new converts. Don't worry, if you study the teachings of our leader, your body will be cleansed." I feel so bad for everyone in this cult, being tricked by Angela.

Ciel got annoyed, "I say! Is this place-"

He was interrupted by Sebastian. "Unclean? A funny thing to say. I can't believe a beautiful lady such as yourself is impure." Sebastian said in a rather...seductive tone. Oh shite, I think I know what's gonna happen.

Sebastian walked right up to where that nun was, "I don't know anything about your sect yet.Would you mind telling me?"

"Alright..." The nun looked down, blushing, "But then why did you come here?"

Suddenly Sebastian slammed a hand down next to her, trapping her between the door behind her and his body. He leaned closer, and whispered, "A bug." He stood back up straight and blew away a bug that he just killed from his palm. "You'll tell me, won't you?"

By that time the nun looked so turned on that she just nodded mindlessly. By me, Grell was glaring with jealousy of that nun, whereas I was just cringing so hard to the point I couldn't look.

"Is there a more private place for us to...discuss the matter?" Sebastian asked. She shyly nodded and gestured for him to follow her into another door. I coughed and went to whisper to Ciel and Grell, "Um... you two go. I will go and explore the premises of this place." I quickly walked out of the church building. In truth, I just didn't want to go to listen to Sebastian have sex with that nun as I will only cringe so hard that I might actually see the gates of heaven.
