You gasp as you wake up suddenly on a beach. You look around before getting conked with half a coconut shell. You hold your head in pain.

"Owww! What's the big idea there bud?" You say holding your head looking around before seeing not only the girl you ran into but the main character to the series of one of your favorite games Ultra Jump Mania.

"Coconut Boy? Quick question, What is your real name?" You ask a bit sheepishly. To which he seemed a bit skeptical but humored you.

"My name is Theo. What's yours?" he asked as you nodded.

"Mine's Y/n. Its an honor to meet you Theo." You said with a smile then you saw her.

"Uh, Hi. Sorry about earlier, m-my name is Tari. Its nice to meet you." She said awkwardly rubbing her arm barley looking at you.

"Its ok, I'm not upset. In fact, I was wanting to find you again. Unrelated topic but is this actually Ultra Jump Mania?" you ask Tari as you take another look at your surroundings of SimpleFlip Island.

'She's positively stunning with that flower in her hair! Huh, I'm in love aren't I?' you think to yourself.

"As far as I know it is. My memory isn't really the best right now." she says looking away before Theo interrupts you two.

"Hey you two Goalpost is over this way." Theo said on his way to the level before him.

"Guessing you two had a chat before I woke up?" you mutter to Tari as you follow the pint sized protagonist into a course of death.

"yeah, then he noticed your washed up body waking up." She said noticing the course and stopping you from getting hit.

"Good reflexes." You groan out not having expected it and the wind knocked out of you again.

"I'm sorry" she said as you two took on the course.

Meanwhile outside the game:

B/n had found where his current flame had been trying to preform and saw the place empty excluding two women, his crush and someone new but shrugged it off as he approached.

"Ugh what do you want, doesn't Pinkie need you for something?" Belle asked him.

'Of course she would want him to check up on me after my failure.' she thought to herself.

"Actually, I came here on my own. If you're busy I understand. I can just-" He began before being interrupted.

"Nonono! I-I'm not busy! What did you want to talk about?" She said trying not to let him slip away again.

"I just wanted to see if you were free anytime soon, to hang out and get to know each other better." He asked looking into her warm amber eyes. making her heart flutter.

"I don't know when anytime soon, but I can give you my number when I am free. Is that good?" She asked him to which he smiled.

"That's perfect." He said handing her his phone open to his contacts. She blushed a bit but entered her information into his phone and handed it back to him.

"Thanks Belle, You seem kinda busy right now, should I... is that my brother?" he asked looking up at the screen, making her look as well.

"I thought it was just her, when did HE get in there?" she asked aloud watching you and Tari tackle the course with some teamwork.

"I gotta make a call. This is getting too weird." she said lowly but your brother agreed.

"Hey, before you do, I'm sorry to hear about a few years back... hopefully you can find out what happened." he said looking sympathetic. she faltered in her dialing but sighed.

"Thanks, I hope so too." she said before fixing her falter to call Lucks.

Back in the game

You and Tari were on the other side and catching your breaths. All the while Theo was humming to himself before looking at the barrier before you.

"Hey beach bot can we get passed?" he asked the little robo that was beside the door.

"You can only get past with a golden key! or if you want you can buy the expansion DLC for 9.95 at your local gamestore!" it said cheerily. you roll your eyes.

"Hey Tari, you think you can find us a way over?" you whisper to her leaning in close so only she could hear it.

"What makes you think I can do that?" she whispered in a worried tone.

"Because you've been doing good so far about using the meta runners more advanced skills." you say looking at her. she seemed to calm down and nod.

"As long as what I'm doing is normal, somewhat, then sure." she said trying to boost her confidence. she then looked over the situation and smiled as she found a way to disrespect the beach bot and get over.

When she was on the faulty hitbox looking back your heart skipped a beat at the smirk of accomplishment she had.

"Yup definitely in love with the girl I just met." you think as you follow her lead and Theo brings up the rear by going the now open gate.

"Didn't think those shoes would help you jump much." Theo said innocently as you try not to chuckle loudly.

"HEY, I think my socks and sandals look pretty cool." she said before you three heard the sounds of enemies. you all looked around a second. then three tree monsters popped up. and before you could say anything Tari rushed and tried to punch a tree.

"Wrong game Tari, A+ for effort though." you say helping her up and Theo gives her Pineapple Hammer. but that's the only thing aside from his coconut shell he had so you eye the little robot then the battle commenced again.

Outside the game... Again.

As Lucks was observing the scene before him belles phone buzzed in her pocket and she saw it was from your brother.

"Hey Belle, if it turns out that IS my brother in there, make sure he doesn't get into too much trouble. it tends to follow him like a lost puppy." he asked her over text.

"I can only promise to try." She responded.

"Thank you" was his response which made her heart flutter before returning to the task at hand. Which looked like Lucks was gonna get a bit creepy with this girl. After making sure that it wasn't like that, as far as Belle knew, she saw Lucks about to make contact to the group.

Back on SimpleFlip Island

Theo jumped into battle while Tari was more hesitant and you kept beating the trees with the little bot.

"Why didn't I think of that?" Theo called out looking at you.

"More work than you're willing to put in." you respond to which Theo nods.

"Yeah, you're right." he says taking out more enemies when you see Tari pinned underneath an attack. you helped her out and soon found yourself surrounded, on your back, and your weapon flung just out of reach. And that's when Tari surprised you, again.

She rushed over and took out all the enemies and helped you up.

"You're getting the hang of things." You say smiling.

"Yeah I guess I am." Tari said smiling with a small blush before getting back into battle.

You watched a Speedball Special manuver happen and as the last one ran away it was hit from behind.

You went to high five as the world started to glitch and falter. You looked around then noticed a red Theo.

"My my isnt this interesting." He said darkly.

"Well well, look whos Lucky enough to find 'new talent'." You spat at the evil brother of Theo.

"And who may I ask are you?" he asked not prepared for your interruption.

"No one special, yet." you say offhandedly.

While you and lucks bantered you heard something that made your heart drop. Tari started to scream in pain.

You rush over to her to try and help her while Lucks keeps spewing his monologue.

"I oughta sock you in the mouth Lucks!" you growled.

"Funny I don't see how you are going to do that from where ever you are." he taunted.

"Keep hurting her and you'll find out real quick!" You yell before Tari Screams bloody murder and you and Tari are back on the outside with a stowaway.

"Theo?!" You say in absolute shock.
