Part 2
"I thought you didn't want to!" Livius exclaimed.
"I... well," I hesitated. "I've been wanting to give her my regards in her marriage."
"Oh yes," Livius said, rubbing his chin and looking out the window. "It was a few months ago, correct, Neil?"
"Exactly 5 months from today," Neil said, tidying up Livius's desk.
"Ok," Livius turned to me and gave me a smirk. "Then you'll have to come with me." I smiled and he walked outside. He stopped before closing the door. "We're leaving in one hour. Be ready then."
"Got it," I said and ran to my room. I didn't want too much stuff so I just pack clothes and some jewelry. I stuffed them all in a suitcase and carried it downstairs. Livius and Neil were waiting.
"Ready?" Livius asked and I nodded. We walked outside and saw a carriage waiting for us. Neil opened the door and let us in, closing it behind us. "You'll make sure nothing goes wrong while we're gone, correct?"
"Of course, Your Majesty," Neil said.
"Then I guess we should get going," Livius said. Neil backed away and signaled to the driver who snapped the reins for the horses. The carriage started moving and we were on our way to see Queen Luna in Oceana.
I must've fallen asleep at some point because when the carriage stopped, I was leaning against Livius with my head on his shoulder.
"We have arrived, Your Majesty!" the driver called from outside, opening the door for us. I stretched a little while Livius got out ahead of me.
"Livi!" a girl exclaimed, running over. She had long, orange hair that she wore in pigtails. Her sea green eyes were staring at me and Livius. "And Nike."
"Hey there, Luna," I said. I noticed she was taller and more mature looking now.
"Still the same," she sighed. "Geez. You will never be able to change."
"It's been a long ride," Livius said, looking up at the pinky sky. "Will you show us to our room?" Luna sighed again, but then turned around to back inside the castle.
"Come this way," she said. We followed her inside and through the castle. It had a beautiful view of the ocean with large windows facing it.
"Wow!" I exclaimed, running over to one of the windows. "You have a beautiful view of the ocean!"
"Of course we do," Luna said. "It's what makes this kingdom so special."
"Of course," I said, clearing my throat and trying to his my embarrassment. "My apologizes." We reached a room and Luna turned to look at us.
"This is where you'll be staying," she said. "I hope you enjoy your stay." She walked off and I looked at Livius.
"Looks like we have to share a room," I muttered.
"It's not that bad," Livius said, opening the door. We walked inside and saw our bags were already inside. There was a bed against the right wall, a bathroom to the left and a huge window right in front of us.
"We have a beautiful view of the ocean," Livius said, looking at the window. I nodded, suddenly feeling a little tired. "You alright? You're getting a little pale." Livius brushed his hand against my cheek and I forced a smile.
"I'm fine," I said. "It's nothing."
"Liar," he said. "Lie down some more. I️ don't think you're fully recovered from this morning."
"I️ am!" I️ exclaimed. "This morning was nothing! I️ could've gone for two hours if I️ really tried!"
"No!" Livius shouted. He glared at me, but then looked out the window. "I️ can't lose you, Nike. I'd throw everything away if it meant I️ could stay with you."
"What are you talking about?" I️ asked. "It's not like I'm-" Just then my vision started to get disoriented. I️ collapsed in his arms, and his voice calling my name was the last thing I️ heard.
I️ woke up, and saw I️ was in bed in our room. Livius wasn't in the room and I️ tried sitting up. Nope. My head got dizzy and I️ lay back down. I️ turned my head and saw it was dark out. The lights from the castle illuminated parts of the sky, and I️ saw the ocean in the near distance.
"You're awake," Livius said, coming into the room. I️ tried getting up, but got dizzy again. "You have a fever and it doesn't look like it will go away."
"Oh," I️ said. "I️ don't think I'll be able to call the rain for a few weeks."
"Why?" he asked, sitting on the bed.
"If I️ over use my power, I️ get a very serious fever," I️ explained. "I️ the fever doesn't go away for at least a week."
"That's too bad, Nike," Luna said, coming into the room. "I️ wanted you to be at the party tomorrow. Seeing you can't even sit up, I️ don't think you'll be able to."
"I'm sorry, Luna," I️ said.
"It's not a problem," she said. "Livius can still come." I️ glared at her.
"Livius is going to be taking care of me!" I️ exclaimed.
"I️ have servants who can do that," she said. "It will only be for a few hours." The two of us glared, and I threw off the covers.
"I'm just fine," I said, gritting my teeth and trying to stand up straight.
"Nope," Livius said, catching me when I fell again. "You're staying in bed. Maybe tomorrow you'll be fine." He turned to Luna. "I'll go to the party, but only for a few hours. I need to stay and take care of Nike."
"But Livi!" Luna whined.
"Your Highness?" the servant and the door called. "His Majesty is calling for you." LUna nodded.
"I'll be right there," she said. The servant left and looked at me. "I hope you feel better, Nike." She left the room and Livius looked at me.
"In bed," he commanded. I glared at him, but sighed.
"Alright, alright," I said. "I'm going." I got back in bed and Livius started changing. "L-Livius!? What are you doing!?"
"Don't you remember?" he asked. "We have to share a room for the next two nights whether we like it or not."
