The Cursed Discovery
Sweating, tears rolling down his face, carrying his mighty sword, he was out off breath but didn't stop for anything. He ran through the city covered with screams of terrified citizens calling his name begging for help, his eyes filled with pity for everyone
but he didn't stop.
He came to halt where the mighty prince's body or whatever was left of it remained, the pieces of shining armour of prince and his shattered sword left no doubt that it was him.
Raja Subheshu let out a scream heard all over the city. His only heir, the one he loved more than anything, His son was dead.
The eyes filled with rage he yelled at the top of his lungs, "COME ON OUT! You foul demon."
He threw away his fur coat and stood with determination and holding his sword which was almost as tall as his him.
Then came back the whirring, the monster was approaching the king head on.
The king stood determined with tears he gripped his sword tightly and ran towards whatever he could make of this foul demon being.
Just when the king was about to meet the legs a boulder almost as big as the legs came out of nowhere and knocked down the legs. The legs moved and whirred all over but couldn't get up.
King looked from where did the boulder came from,
his army had used a catapult to bring down the beast.
His soldiers stood circling the legs trying to figure out what this was.
The king got in front of them and with one stroke from his royal sword shook the whole beast.
The armour got cracked and...
there was nothing inside no bones or muscles, no blood came out just a wooden piece of mechanism that made the leg bend.
No one could figure out what or how this thing was operated.
Who operated it?
Suddenly, The screw where the legs joined blasted out.
Everyone moved back a pace except for the king who stood ready to face whatever was happening.
The metal panel moved along and out came a ..a thing.
Green was its face, its nose ...well there was no nose just a hole in its place. A liquid like slime dripping from this misshapen lips. Five sharp teeth and ears like those of an elephant but much shorter than one.
He was barely 2 foot and for irony
had no legs his hands however were like tentacles no fingers or thumbs.
The whole squadron stood there trying to figure what this was,
the king ordered,"cut this slob to pieces!"
At first no one moved, then one young soldier came running and swung his sword at this 'slob' which took years to move but suddenly with lightning fast speed jumped on the soldiers face and before anyone could do anything ripped off the face of the young soldier.
Everyone stood ready to battle and kill this thing but he scurried past through their legs before they could even move and headed back to the well.
He jumped in, the king and the soldiers looking at what just happened and that thing popped up again, no one knew how to react but that creature grabbed the tale off Shambhu's dead dog and went back inside the well.
No one said a single word.
The king started gathering the remains of his son in his fur coat.
Crying out loud the soldiers went to help those who needed and tried to access what damage this monster had made.
"Bring the legs to the hall!" ordered king as he took the coat filled with his son in both his arms and started walking back to his castle.
The Royal family and everyone in the city were mourning their loss and the loss of the prince the brave soldier who was to take the throne.
But what everyone talked about most was what was the formidable foe that being who came out and went back into a well.
The king didn't mourn, he called for meeting of the leaders to discuss what further action is to be taken.
The meeting began, Shambhu's father was called to rule out any supernatural possibilities.
"The hell is right under our world, and this just might be a spawn of demon trying to warn us." said Shambhu's father Ganesh.
"What is this rubbish? This is a machine made by a 'being not living in hell'" said a member of the meeting pointing at the lifeless legs.
This broke out a debate in the hall everyone started talking arguing about what inspired in the city.
"SILENCE!" Ordered! The king.
"What happened today was something i have never seen or heard before." everyone was sitting quietly now listening to the king.
"I lost my son, This city lost its future king, we are not going to sit in silence while that creature roams underneath us!" yelled Subheshu.
"We have to seal all the wells to make sure the creature doesn't escape." said Rishsi Raj 'head of the inner city defense'.
"Seal all wells! Get me a squadron of 20 good soldiers. I myself well go in that well and bring out that slob and chop him into pieces! and purohit you'll go with us to rule out possiblity of hell and demons." Yelled king Subheshu and the crowd responded with a cheerful roar and applause for their brave king.

"I already lost him, I don't want to lose you too!" said queen Indrani, still crying for the loss of his son and seeing his husband getting ready for war.
The king stood in silence while two squires put his shining armour on him.
"Are you even listening to me?" Indrani cried out loud.
"I am." answered Subheshu.
"leave!" He ordered to squires who scurried out of the room.
"look at me." Subheshu said to Indrani.
She cried and fell into his arms.
"I know, let it all out. I'm going to bring you the head of the beast who put you through this." Whispered Subheshu into Indrani's ears.
She grabbed his arms tightly as she cried, trying to stop him for leaving.
"I'll be back soon. You have to be strong as you always are. The city will look to you when I'm not here." said Subheshu and left.
The king looked on the squadron his ministry selected.
"We lost some of our best soldiers today! You might not return from this journey. But we will damn sure the loss our city suffered today." yelled Subheshu and the crowd roared as they marched.
Queen stood in her balcony as she watched her husband walk towards what might be the final war of his life.

At the Well
They stood next to the well. One soldier tied a rope to a half fallen wall of Shambhu's home and dropped it down the well.
"can i come with you, my lord?" asked Shambhu who had managed go get past the guards guarding the well.
"How did you make it this far?" asked king with a little hint of a smile.
"Well i am good at not being noticed."
The king scuffed.
"Why do you want to go down there? there might be deadly things down there."
"I had a dog and only his tail was left after that thing killed him and now my baba is going with you, I want to be with him" said Shambhu looking at his father.
"No! your mother will be alone she needs you and I'll be back before you know." jumped in Shambhu's father.
"This is dangerous, and no place for a child, go back to your mother and you make sure he stays here." ordered Subheshu to one of the guards standing there.
King was the first to drop down, as he jumped into the water , he vanished just vanished into the water.
The whole squadron jumped to save their king.
They all fell down on rocky surface.
Some soldiers landed on their head and concussed.
They all hurriedly got to their feet to find their king standing in front of them with his mouth open.
They looked up and they could see a watery mirror like a portal above them and they could see a fellow soldier shutting down the entrance to the portal as the king had ordered.
They had now where to go.
They looked around and couldn't believe what they were seeing.
It was a whole new world, dark with a thick mist covering the view so they couldn't see too far.
The land under them was rocks like a dead lifeless surface with bones of animals and other beings showing that this was an accursed world.
"We've been living above this the whole time?" said a soldier.
"This is hell I'd assume." said another soldier.
"This place reeks of evil spirits." Whispered Ganesh.
"Quiet!"
"Listen!" whispered the king.
The soldiers grabbed their Shields and swords as they heard a rumbling noise getting loud and close.
It was time to face their first monster.
