"So you see...That's why I'm handing the title of corporal to you."

Levi eyed Mike with a serious glance. The man looked like he had been mauled by a titan with claws. He was covered in so many bandages it was hard to tell which parts of him were healed by the pink haired girl he thought so much of.

"You think you don't have what it takes to be corporal?" Levi asked with a monotone stare.

Mike shook his head. "I can't even fight one titan, unlike you, who can slaughter the female type, I can barely handle a normal titan, I'm just not cut out for it."

Levi said nothing. He took another drink of red wine and tilted the glass cup left and right to make the liquid swirl. Mike had come all the way to the former scouting legion headquarters that was currently being rebuilt, just to let him know he was resigning as captain and giving the title back to Levi. The raven haired man sighed. It was what Sakura wanted, so he would accept. He would bring down the moon if she told him to. He was that crazy about the girl.

"Okay." Levi said casually from his seat on the wooden table he occupied. There were several other scouting legion members around him, but most of the men that took up the rooms space was the police force. Levi had gathered them in the building to make them move their asses. All they ever did was stay withing the safety of the inner walls while his troops risked their lives outside battling so that the useless people that made up the police force could live like the cowards they were.

Of course they were against it, they were afraid. They argued that they had no experience and the only response Levi could think of was that they would die when the time finally came when the last wall crumbled if they were that incompetent. They couldn't argue against that. No one said the truth had to be pretty.

"Just like that you accept, you're just as simple as ever Levi." Mike said with a slight smirk.

Levi put down his drink and stomped his foot, bending to Mikes Level. "That's corporal Levi to you."

They Mike gave a laugh, wincing slightly at the shoulder pain the action caused. "You're just as scary as ever too."

It was in that moment that the door to the building opened and a member of the scouting legion rushed inside, falling to his knees as he panted loudly. There were visible wounds on his body and a small river of blood fell from his head and over his cheekbones.

His voice came out rough as he spoke. "S-Something big happened in the outer walls! The recruits have gathered to figure out how to deal with the fact that there was no breach in the wall...among those were the two traitors we have been looking for all along! The armored titan and the colossal titan!"

Levi's eyes went wide, and the room fell silent. Jean, who was sitting across the room with the police rose up swiftly from his spot and grabbed the bloody man from the collar of his shirt. "Who were they!" He demanded with a pained expression. He knew the possibility was there...but he never wanted to acceot the fact that there were two more spies withing the survey corps like Hanji had predicted.

"It was...the two troops that were in the same ranking as Annie Leonhart..."

Jean let go. The room was dead silent and only Levi broke it. He got up and turned to the police members. "Get to the outer walls now, take your gear with you."

One of the members stepped up shyly. "W-we aren't authorized to..."

Levi's glare silenced the man that dared step up. "Just do it." The raven haired corporal demanded. That was his final order and there was no one who could tell him otherwise. They were short on men and the police force couldn't hide behind the walls like cowards forever. Yet as Levi made his way out the door and into the stables, leaving Mike and Jean behind in his hurry, that was the least of his worries. He wondered where Sakura was at the moment, and what she was doing. He hoped to god she was alright.

...

My stomach hurt. I felt like I desperately needed to throw up, I couldn't even move properly without making the pain worse. All that helped was staying paralyzed...without movement. My eyes fluttered open lazily, grassy hues stared up and the small rays of sun that shone between the cracks of the winter leaves. Where was I? I felt so cold...I shivered and I turned to my side and flinched. Ymir was sitting beside me with a lazy gaze. I sat up quickly, ignoring my abdominal pain, and looked around me quickly. Eren was leaning against a bark of a tree with the scouting legion cape wrapped around his arms.

"Eren! Where are we?" I asked shakily.

He looked into my eyes in silence for a while, then shrugged lightly. "In a forest somewhere...I don't know..."

I looked down to where I sat and felt around. I was on a large tree branch, and we were ridiculously high up, the floor seemed to stretch miles away as I glanced down at it.

"We're not alone either." Ymir stated behind me, making me look up at her. She tilted her chin upwards the other side of the branch. Across from us on a different branch were Reiner and Bertholdt, staring at us with serious faces.

My breath hitched in my throat as I remembered the past events that lead us here. They kidnapped us...and brought us who knew where...

"How long have we been here?" I asked Ymir lowly, looking around. I was the only one that wasn't tied up. They must have had some sort of reason for leaving me out so free. I could easily escape, outrun them even without my titan form. so why was I untied?

"five hours, I woke up first so I should know." Ymir responded with a sigh. I nodded. Five hours was a long time, no one was coming after us. If they were we wouldn't have come this far.

I sat there quietly and contemplated my options, watching the two traitors from the corner of my eye. I could escape...but what about these two? I couldn't carry both Ymir and Eren back to the walls. Unless I was in titan form but that would make me slower and more visible to other titans, not to mention Reiner and Berholdt. Then it hit me. I was untied because they knew I wouldn't leave without them. Bastards.

"I see, no one had shown up since then?" I asked again.

She shook her head. "We're alone."

So they came this far...and to what? What did they want.

Reiner spoke up then. "I'm sorry I had to tie you guys up...it was the only thing we could think of to ensure you wont run away, if you choose to cooperate we will take them off later." His eyes swept across Eren and landed on mine. "I take it I have your cooperation?"

I frowned and nodded slowly. Eren sighed and hit the back of his head against the tree bark hard. "I see...I guess we lost the fight back there..." He whispered.

I didn't care about losing a fight, I was just confused as to why we were brought here...and I wanted answers. "Why did you bring us here?" I demanded.

They stayed quiet. Both sides stared hard from each branch, and Eren snapped. He rose up quickly, rising his restrained arm with all his might to bite down into it.

"Eren! Stop it!" Bertholdt shouted.

I was about to tackle him down but Ymir beat me to it by grabbing his arm and yanking it away from his mouth successfully. "Wait a second Eren." She whispered. "Take a look around. "This is one of the giant forests inside wall Maria, we are quite a distance away from the wall, of course that means that there are titans all over the place, look."

We looked down to where Ymir was pointing and saw titans below us. "There are titan's everywhere, that one is probably a deviant as well, it's just lying there, but it's eyes keep looking in our direction." She was right. The biggest titan below us lay with its arms crossed behind his head and watched us with a blank expression. It was creepy to say the least.

She continued on. "There are also a bunch of small ones, it's enough to pose a threat. There is also that huge titan watching us from behind that tree." She pointed behind us and we turned.

I shivered at the sight of it. The thing was hiding half it's body behind a tree Hinata style, peering at us like a stalker. Eren looked up at the men that held us captive with a gleam of hatred in his eyes. "And then there's those two."

Ymir nodded. "That gear he has on was yours, he took it off your body, same with bertholdt, he took mine." I looked down with a frown. I didn't even have gear to begin with. I had taken it all off...how was I to know this would happen?

"Those bastards." Eren spat out, fists clenching at his sides.

I understood his rage, I felt exactly the same way. Ymir grabbed on to his arm firmly and gave a squeeze. "Even while having titan powers, it is difficult to survive in titan territory, think before you turn, they have titan powers too, they could easily catch up just as well as we could run away..." Her eyes swept to mine for confirmation. I nodded in understanding.

"I agree." I muttered

"Actually, we promise we wont do anything rough to restrain you if you don't run away-" Reiner began but was cut off by Eren's harsh choice of words. \

The brunette rose his head and glared at Reiner. "Fuck you, who cares what you say." He spat.

I flinched. Ymir stayed silent before taking a deep breath and eyeing Reiner from a distance. "Didn't you say you would talk after these two woke up?" She said outloud with a bored voice, but I knew better. "So talk, why are we here? What are you...going to do with us now?"

Reiner straightened out his shoulders and crossed his arms. "We are going to take you back to our home town with us, we already know that you wont just tag along obediently." He paused. I blinked in remembrance. Bertholdt had told me exactly the same thing back when he tried to...force himself on me. He prodded me to go with him to his town...and now Reiner was taking all of us. But why? Reiner went on. "But like Ymir said, we are in titan territory, if we fight each other now we'll just get eaten by other titans, so...we will wait for nightfall where all the titans stop moving. You will either get away from us or we will capture you."

I cleared my throat. "What's your reason for staying here and not running off to your town as the armored titan? You can easily carry all of us and I know for a fact you have the speed to outrun any titan, so why keep us here?" I asked curiously.

Reiner grinned. "I'll leave that up to your imagination."

I frowned, keeping myself from growling. So he wasn't going to say anything. This whole situation was weird. Reiner was making it seem like they were up to something. They could easily take advantage now with both Eren and Ymir tied up, leaving me to fight and having to defend them at the same time. What the hell were they up to? Were they just going to watch us while we figured out how to escape? It didn't make any sense. I wasn't tied up, I could easily untie them right at this very moment if they looked away...surely they weren't planning on staring like hawks until nightfall that was insane.

"What about the titans back at the castle, they seemed to have no problem moving around at night." Ymir objected. She was trying to worm her way out of staying here. "Wouldn't these titans move around at night too?"

"These titan's can't move at night Ymir, you should know that better than anyone." Reiner replied calmly.

I sighed heavily and sat down on my butt. This was going to be a long day.

...

I was right. Thirty minutes have passed and I was already losing my mind. Since we weren't being difficult, they gave me permission to untie the two, and we sat in a circle, coming to the final conclusion that escaping was impossible. We considered turning and running for our lives, but there were too many titans below us. We were seriously surrounded, it was risky as hell. It was like being on top of a building with zombies below...and getting off was simply not an option. Reiner and Bertholdt weren't even watching us. They sat on their branch in a resting state, with eyes closed and breaths coming out evenly, as if half asleep.

Ymir yawned beside me and craned her neck up to face the two traitors. "Hey you guys got any water? We've been here for a while, we'll get dehydrated eventually ya know."

The blonde man turned towards us and shook his head. "There's no safe way of obtaining any unfortunately."

Ymir nodded. "I agree this really sucks."

I gave her a sly glance. She was being rather friendly with them. Reiner spoke up again. "You no now that you mention it, we haven't had anything to eat or drink since fighting those titans at the tower, or rather hiding from them...for now i would like to get some sleep, we can atlk about promotions later."

"What?" I said outloud.

Reiner grinned. "Well im not saying I should be captain right away, back there at the castle, you Ymir, you really helped out with that cannon, and the whole thing with christa, hell she was especially nice to me-."

"Reiner what the hell are you talking about." Ymir scoffed.

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME." Eren said flatly.

Reiner frowned and stood up quickly and took a defensive posture. "What are you so angry about, did I say something bad?" He asked.

Eren growled. "If you keep on talking like everything is just fine I'm going to fucking kill you!"

I flinched again. Eren had something against these two ever since they turned...of what? I had no idea. Ymir grabbed on to his arm to keep him down.

She stared at him sternly. "Wait a minute Eren, No matter how you look at it, it's not normal, right Bertholdt? If you know something you shouldn't keep quiet just tell him."

I was confused now. I had no idea what was going on. Reiner stared at Bertholdt with equal confusion. The taller male looked down. His voice was low as he spoke. "Reiner...you are not a soldier remember? We are warriors."

Reiner made a panicked face, he crouched down to the bark of the branch and grabbed his head with one hand. "What...I am...I don't understand." He breathed out.

I blinked. Ymir smirked. "I get it...I think I have an idea of what's going on, I thought it was weird that the same guy who tore down the wall five years ago risked his own life to save Connie, Reiner somehow blocked those memories of being the villain and is living a made up life of being within those he seeked to destroy, he's living a delusion, how it happened I don't know."

I understood then what Ymir was talking about, why Reiner was acting so friendly when moments ago he warned us against leaving for the consequence of being killed. "His goal was to destroy the wall." I stated evenly. "But while living a soldiers life he lost track of who he was." I cocked my head to the side, pink locks fell upon my shoulder gracefully. "Or maybe he couldn't stand the knowledge of what he had done so to protect his sanity, he escaped to the belief that he was one of the soldiers trying to protect the wall."

Ymir rose her hand up. "This is pretty amazing huh, it's like having a split personality."

"SHUT UP!" We all jumped at the sudden roar that escaped Reiner's lips. He gave a death glare at Ymir, a glare that made me thank god it wasn't directed at me. "Shut the fuck up." He stated flatly.

Ymir sat there stunned, with a surprised expression. Then she merely shrugged. "Oops I guess I said too much."

Eren shook his head. "Stop...fucking around." He whispered quietly while staring at the blonde. "Stop acting like you're the victim, you asshole, you tore that wall down, you killed my mother! And you even had the nerve to ask me about that day, I told you didn't I!? That a titan ate my mother! When you kicked the gates in a giant rock fell on my house and she got trapped! You fucking disgrace what the fuck were you thinking?!"

I stared at Eren silently, as if he was a stranger to me. I didn't know him at all...and yet I did. I could see the pain in his eyes...years of pain that was slowly turning into dark hatred, a look that seemed all too familiar.

Bertholdt and Reiner said nothing. They sat there with hard faces, unable to give Eren a proper excuse for their actions. Then Bertholdt rose his head up and stared at the trees ahead with a blank expression. "At the time...I felt sorry for you." He whispered.

Eren stood up shakily, eyes going wide as he spoke. "I see...you guys are neither soldiers or warriors...you guys, you guys are..." He took deep and even breaths. "You guys are mass murdering psychopaths."

"Eren." I muttered in warning. He was going to lose it at this rate.

Reiner snapped. "I KNOW THAT ALREADY! SHUT UP ABOUT IT!" He growled so loudly I had to look around to make sure the titans weren't getting excited.

Eren screamed back equally loud, eyes wide with rage. "Then stop grieving with me as if you actually give a fuck! You're not human! You're the one's that turned this world to hell! Do you understand you monsters!"

Reiner clenched his fists and shook them at Eren. "What the hell do you want from us then?! Do you want us to atone?! Do you want us to apologize?! Do you want to tell us that killing is bad?! Will that satisfy you?! The person you knew doesn't exist anymore! If screaming makes you feel better then carry on screaming you piece of shit!" He huffed and panted when he finished, clearly tired out of his mind of arguing.

I expected Eren to scream back another profanity but instead, he stood quiet and very calm, his voice was low and controlled. "You're right...I am being naive, there is nothing I can do but...I swear I will make sure you die in the most excruciating way possible."

"Not like that..." Ymir whispered.

We both turned to her in confusion. "huh?" I muttered.

"Please Eren, don't say things like that, if you make such small fry of your enemy, then I can't expect much of you." She turned to Reiner. "Hey you, what was that monkey titan?"

My eyes went wide. The monkey titan...I had forgotten about it. Reiner scoffed and glanced at her evenly. "What monkey?"

Ymir grinned. "Oh you know...that monkey titan that walked by the castle, you guys were staring at it with twinkling eyes, rather suspicious don't you think?"

"I remember it!" I spoke out. "It nearly killed Mike, if I hadn't gotten there in time to save him...it left shortly after, and it even talked."

Ymir rose her head up, and rose an eyebrow. This was new information to her.

Eren waved his hands around to stop us from talking. "Whoa hold on, what is this thing about a monkey?"

"Just listen..." Ymir stated. "That monkey, that beast titan was the culprit behind the titan uproar this time around, it brought forth titans inside the walls, I wonder if it was measuring our power."

"Could it be that they are looking for it?" I said out loud.

Ymir nodded and turned to the two above us. "If you find him...you would be able to go back to your home town right?"

Eren grabbed Ymirs shirt and yanked her up violently. "You tell me everything you know!" He screamed out.

"Wait a minute Eren!" I pleaded, standing up as well.

Ymir stared at Eren, seemingly unfazed. "The circumstances don't allow that."

"WHO IS THE ENEMY!" Eren insisted loudly. I swear I was going to knock everyone's lights out if they didn't keep their voices down.

"If you think you will solve everything by killing them, then you're making a big mistake, if I tell you..." She didn't get to finish her sentence.

"Ymir!" Reiner shouted suddenly. We all turned to stare at him. "Do you think this world has a future? If you know that much think about the path you should take from here, it's still possible to come over to our side here isn't it?"

Ymir scoffed. "Are you telling me to trust you? No way...You can't trust me either."

Reiner shook his head stubbornly. "That isn't true, your goal is to protect Christa right?"

Ymir stiffened at the mention of the petite girls name. Reiner continued. "That's the one instance in which we should be able to rely on each other, I know that it might seem like I'm only joking but...We should all agree on that notion, that we both want to do something about christa, and...do you think that Eren's powers are more reliable than ours?"

Ymir stayed quiet and glared at him. Reiner grinned smugly. He could read her like a book. "It seems like you were planning on using either Sakura or Eren to get out of here." The blonde stated with confidence. "You're probably thinking you have to save your own ass and get far away from here, we can't guarantee that you will be safe, but when it comes to Christa, there might be something we can do. Your own little life, or Christa's future, it's up to you."

"Don't listen to him Ymir! What about the identity of the enemy!" Eren butted in quickly.

Ymir stayed silent for a while with a faraway look in her eyes. She shrugged. "Who knows."

I gaped at her. This wench was siding with them over Christa?! Well there was nothing I could do about it...I couldn't change someone elses opinion. All that we could do was wait for something to happen. I was never too fond of the waiting game, but I wasn't reckless like Naruto.

...

Its been hours. I wanted to sleep badly and Eren assured me he would watch over the situation while I slept, but I couldn't. Not under these circumstances. Reiner and Bertholdt were talking amongst each other, no doubt planning something against us. The taller male kept looking my way with a blush and I could only guess what they were discussing. Because I was from a different realm, Reiner didn't see why I would want to go with them, and I guessed Bertholdt told the blonde about his creepy obsession and desire for me. The thought made me shiver. I was only here because I didn't want to abandon Eren and the soon to be traitor.

I sighed and lay down on the bark of the branch, thinking about Levi. I yearned for him...why did we have to separate after we got intimate? I was scared I wasn't going to be able to see him again...if I would have known this would happen then I would have made sure our physical union lasted longer. I closed my eyes and frowned, inwardly cursing myself over and over. This was all my fault. If only I had known...

A sudden shot made my eyes pop open and my body jump. Eren and I stared at each other knowingly. The scouting legion were out here looking for us...they were already heading over here. Reiner and Bertholdt jumped down over to our branch and I sprinted up at the speed of light, taking a defensive stance. I considered just hopping from tree to tree and reaching the troops but that was impossible. We were at the forests start and there were no trees where the smoke was coming from, just flat land. I couldn't risk going down with all the hungry hordes of titans below me.

Bertholdt approached me with outstretched arms. "Sakura... I'm going to carry you, you have no gear so..."

"Stay away from me!" I hissed like a maniac. There was no way I was letting him touch me after what he tried to do.

"Please...I'm sorry about back there...I was rash and stupid, and I'm a guy...I let my lust get the better of me..." He pleaded with a shameful expression.

Ymir rose an eyebrow. "Oooh what happened between you two that I don't know about?" She said with amusement.

"Nothing..." Bertholdt shot out.

Reiner was restraining Eren from the other side of the branch, explaining to him that we had to go now.

"What about Ymir?!" Eren yelled. "Ymir has no gear too!"

"She can use her titan form, it's small and not as easily visible, we can trust her if we promise to bring along Christa...I hope?" He stared at said girl for conformation.

Ymir smirked. "I wont run away."

"Alright, Bertholdt, get Sakura...we need to go now." Reiner barked.

"No! I'm not going near him!" I squeaked in panic. "I would rather get eaten by titans!" I shouted as I stepped closer to the edge of the branch.

"Stop it Sakura!" Bertholdt yelled.

"Hey what gives?!" Eren yelled too, eyes wide with disbelief.

"I wont go with you...you two can go to hell!" I spat angrily. Who knew what would happen if I ended up along with that freak again. Well I wad definitely not going to let my guard down this time. If he tried anything I was going to punch a hole in his chest.

I felt a hard yank on the sleeve of my shirt and Ymir pulled me back roughly. She glared down at me, squeezing my cheeks together with her hand. "Do I have to babysit you and Eren? You want to be devoured by titans? Be my guest, Too bad a hot girl was lost over something so petty, but know this, every second you stand there whining about a man touching you, the longer this shit drags out, and I'm really fucking thirsty."

Everyone gaped at her as she let go. I rubbed my cheeks and looked down in shame. When did I turn into such a coward? Committing suicide was not an option...I was so stupid...when did I lose my cool? I bit my lip and gave Ymir and hard grin. "Thanks...I needed that, words are definitely better than a slap."

She returned the grin and winked at me. "No problem hot stuff."

"So you'll come? Even if you say no we will be forced to fight you." Reiner warned.

Eren shook his head vigorously behind the blonde. I knew it wasn't wise to fight on a branch. Thanks to my chakra hold, I was safe from falling, but Ymir and Eren weren't. Fighting and protecting them at the same time would be hell.

"I will go...but only cause I have no other choice." I said evenly.

"Thank you." Bertholdt whispered as he walked closer to me. I said nothing as I hopped on his back, locking my arms around his neck and my legs around his torso.

We wasted no time in moving. I held on tight as Bertholdt took off using the gear. Reiner had to knock Eren out and tie him up on his back due to his constant squirming and screaming. He threw a long fit.

"Hurry the hell up we have no time!" Bertholdt shouted at Reiner, who was trying to keep up. Ymir was ahead of us in her small titan form, hopping from tree to tree like a chimp, looking back occasionally to see the flared go up. The scouting troops were getting closer, they were fast. Suddenly, Ymir stopped, and her human body popped out of the back of her neck, making my eyes bulge. Could we even do that? I had no idea how...it looked so freaky.

Ymir shouted at the top of her lungs. "Reiner wait! It's Christa! I can smell her! If you're going to take her now is the time!"

The wind that I felt blowing against my face ceased and we all stopped to look back. So they were going to kidnap Christa too...was that what they were talking about back in the branches?

"How can you smell her? I can't!" Reiner stated with confusion.

"It's her I know it! She must have come to save me." She persisted.

"Even if that were the case we have to keep moving, we will have to wait for another time." Reiner said quickly, body tense and ready to move again.

"Huh?! What the hell, you want me to wait?! No way I can't trust you!" She shouted again.

"Trust us? We need her too you dimwit!" Reiner snapped.

"Then prove it to me right now!" Ymir pleaded. I shut my eyes and sighed. They were going to give me a headache. I hated so much noise. "It has to be now...at this rate I wont be able to see her again right?!"

Ymir was in love with Christa...I knew it. And what she was saying made sense. I wanted to see Levi too, and although I couldn't sense him I knew he would come to save me too. I wanted to see him like Ymir wanted to see Christa.

"She's right, now is the perfect time." I agreed, eager to persuade them.

"It's pointless, even now...can we even get away? They have horses, we have gear that wont last in this forest, and when the forest ends we might have to resort to our titan forms, we will pick Reiner since he is the fastest among us." Bertholdt noted.

"I promise you, Christa will be alright!" Reiner shouted at Ymir to calm her. She didn't say anything more. The day stretched on as we sped away from the smoky flares. Away from the people we loved dearly.
