Now the hype is over

The Scots have had their say

Though many would have liked to go,

It seems they are to stay.

I love the sound of pipes, and drums

The swirling of a kilt

Although I often wonder

If, in winter, things might wilt?

Our monarch just stayed silent

We never heard her voice,

Although the constitution

Does not give her much choice.

It doesn't mean a thing to me

I serve a higher power,

I genuflect at every turn

In fear I often cower.

This is no royal potentate

That rules my very life,

It is that fearsome ugly troll,

The mother of my wife!!!!
