dawn colors rippling like blossoms
this blissful silence so soft like cotton
but my heart yearns for something more
woke up with the thought of you

Clutching at this empty air I pray
for something better like this
the good old days I cherish
feelings fade, so do I but
this melancholy persists

I thought of you this morning
dawn crept closer as I held on in freefall
feelings falter and fade but I wish to defy this
please stay a little longer I don't want to break
I think I'm going to forget this feeling oh god

I went to sleep that night
forgot my dreams and ambition
just like the old days before you came
