Awake and In Love

Mark's POV

I woke up in a tent, lying on a surprisingly soft cot and wrapped in a warm blanket. I tried to sit up but it hurt. The water pressure had really gotten to me. My head hurt and my vision was a bit blurry I just layed there in silence for a while until someone opened the tent flap. I turned towards the person and I gave a soft gasp.

The person was a beautiful looking man. He had dyed green hair and sky blue eyes. He was wearing a thick green coat that matched his hair and in his hands he had a first aid kit and a thermos. He noticed I had awoken and he quickly walked over to me and sat down. He waved a hand in front of my face.

And then he said it. He said the words I had been craving to hear all my life.

"Can you see me? He asked. He had an Irish accent and his voice was laced with worry and concern.

"Y-you... oh my gosh..." I froze up with shock. I had found him at last. Well, he found me.

He gasped and took off his coat. He was wearing graphic t- shirt with a green eye that had a blue iris. He rolled up his left sleeve to show the words written on his bicep.

You... Oh my gosh...

His beamed at me and he teared up as he read the words on his arm. I pulled my hand out from under the blanket and showed him his phrase. He took my hand in his and read each word over and over, taking in every little detail. He chuckled.

"I always thought the words were hurtful and I that would be stuck with a jerk forever. Heh, guess I was wrong." He smiled as he helped me sit up.

"So what's yer name? I wanna at least start to know ya."

"My name is Mark. And yours?"

"The names' Sean, but my friends call me Jack!"

I smiled. Suck a lovely name for a lovely face.

"So how did you find me? And where did you get this tent?"

"Oh! I was out here on a camping trip. I little break from the city, ya know. I was out by the lake when I saw you fall in. It felt like my heart dropped right out of my chest and I knew I had to help you. So I got you out and brought you here. I had to make sure you were safe." Jack replied, his eyes beginning to water.

I smiled and reached out to wipe his forming tears. "Hey, there's no need to cry. Just be happy we found each other."

Jack nodded and leaned in closer. I pulled him in for a gentle yet loving hug. He curled into my chest and yawned softly.

"You sleepy there, Jack?" I asked with a chuckle.

He nodded and yawned again a bit louder this time. I laid us down, keeping him close to my chest. He smiled and kissed my chin lightly. I couldn't help but smile and kiss his head softly. He giggled a bit and squeezed his eyes shut. My god, it was adorable. I gave him a small squeeze before pulling the blanket over us both.

"Night Mark." Jack said before he yawned a third time and fell asleep in my arms. I smiled and kissed his head again.

"Goodnight Sean." I said as I let my mind get consumed by a dream as I fell asleep.

When I woke up, Jack was still cuddled into my chest, smiling in his sleep. I gently pet his hair. Oh my gosh, it was just so fluffy and soft! With this his eyes fluttered open and he smiled at me.

"Morning Marki," He sat up rubbing his eyes, yawning and stretching. I sat up slowly but surely. He looked over at me, worried.

"Are ya okay Mark?"

I was still a little sore but I could manage so I nodded, showing I was okay. It was nice to know how caring he was already, even if he barely knew anything about me. He sighed happily and chuckled.

"So do ya live nearby?" I asked Sean, hoping he was from around here, but I was doubting it. His accent was to good to just be newly learned. He shook his head and looked down at the ground.

"I live in Ireland. Along with my camping, I'm on a vacation here to visit me friend. His name is Felix. Do you know him by any chance?"

"The blonde dude who wears that pink feathered boa and has those adorable pugs?"

Sean laughed at that remark. "Looks like you do know him," He smiled before pulling out a small green notebook and jotted down his phone number and what looked to be his email. He tore out the piece of paper and handed it to me.

"It's so we can talk once... once I leave..." His voice trailed off.

He was saddened by this realization and I hated seeing him like that. I pulled him into another a hug. He hugged back burying his face into my chest and cried. I rubbed soothing circles in his back. I kissed his head trying to calm him down.

"M-mark I-I don't wan-na g-go! I-I just f-found you!" He sobbed out clinging to my shirt.

"It'll be okay, Sean. We will find a way to make this work," I said, pulling him back and flashing him a wavering smile.

"Do you wanna come stay at my place for a while? Get out of this tiny tent and hang with me?"

He nodded and we both helped pack up jacks tent. But why did he truly need a campsite if he was staying with a friend?

I shook my head and let the thought disappear. I grabbed the bag the tent was in and slung it over my shoulder. Jack grabbed his backpack that had all his stuff in it. I grabbed his hand and lead him back to my house, smiling the whole way. For once I was walking with my head held high. I saw people smile and point to us. I was known as a depressing guy, but now they saw me happy.
