Why Biggles exist
Once, a long, long time ago, in a little wood, the predators decided that they were no longer going to be nocturnal. What was the point when most of the prey came out in the day anyway?
They killed all of the rabbits, hedgehogs, squirrels and birds, but not the mice. Some of the mice were eaten, but not all of them.
The reason that all the mice were not eaten is that, over time, they grew wings. With those wings they became the common biggle. They could fly up to the tops of the trees and get away from the predators.
The biggles' claws grew sharper in order to cling to the branches. Their teeth also grew sharper and they became catnivores. Scientists today still don't know the reason for this.
