•SHIVIKA ROOM•
He went to receive the call, it was Jennifer. She told him about the college reunion party & she wanted him to come. He asked her where she was to which she answered that she was with her parents in New York. She said she will be coming tomorrow in the college reunion. Shivay believed her & he was relieved now. "Jennifer never lies" he thought & the moment he came back into the room, he saw Annika standing in front of the mirror & admiring the pendant. The tears on her eyes pinched his heart. He knew this was the first time ever he gave something to her. He knew he had never been nice to her & may be this is the reason she couldn't stop the tears from coming into her eyes. He felt bad. He had something to tell to Annika but he could not. He knew the news will somehow hurt her. So he decided to ignore it for the time being.
"Annika?" What are you thinking? he asked her.
She came out of her thoughts & said
"Shivay, this is the best present of my life. I dont know how you thought of giving it to me but to be honest I just loved it & I dont know if you are going to like it or not but I have something for you"
"Something for me" he raised his eyebrows in confusion.
"Yes, just wait" she went towards her purse & took out the watch.
"Look" she said handing it over to Shivay.
"A watch" he said taking it excitedly.
The watch was actually very nice. Shivay had always been obsessed with watches. This silver watch was his 50th & it was given to him by his best friend Annika so it was more special.
"Annika this is so amazing" he said hugging her unknowingly.
She smiled & said "wait a second, it has this alarm which plays a song. Its empty but you can record your favourite song in the memory chip" she said showing him the small button of the alarm.
As soon as Shivay pushed the button it started playing the song...

Annika & Shivay were dumbstruck for a moment. The song was playing & both of them were just looking into each other's eyes. The song portrayed her feelings so beautifully. That's whats gonna happen. Soon he will be with Jennifer & she will be just a memory in his life.
Shivay was just staring in her teary eyes. He could feel her pain. How hard it is for her he cannot even imagine. This song is actually going so well with the circumstances Annika thought.
Shivay suddenly turned off the button.
"Umm..I think the shopkeeper recorded this song by mistake" he said trying to divert her mind.
"I asked him to keep it empty, I dont know how thing song got recorded" Annika said trying to explain it to Shivay. She didnt wanted him to think that she deliberately did it to make him feel guilty.
"I trust you Annika, you dont need to explain" he said.
"But you know what this watch is so damn good. Wont you help me in wearing it" he said smiling at her.
She nodded & took the watch from his hand. She made him wear the watch & saw his bright face. He actually liked it so much. She was satisfied & happy that her gift was not as valuable as his gift but still he liked it.

•ANNIKA•
"He said he trusts her" this made her heart bloom with happiness. Trust is the main basis of any & every relationship. This was precisely the most happiest day of her life. He gave her a gift, he said he wants her to smile, he said he trusts her. What else does she wants? Wasn't all this enough for her to live her life without him. She wont cry today, she will smile.
Little did she know that there is something worth hurting is already waiting for her.

•SHIVAY•
Shivay was overwhelmed & upset. Now it was his turn to be in the delimma. She, the one who has always been deprived of his love & affection, she who always craved for his love, she who always loved him even after knowing everything. How can he give her more pain? She got him a gift. Even after knowing the reality, instead of hating him she is being so sweet with him. He loved the watch & he cant really understand why does that song hurt him? Why does the thought of she not being with him all his life pained him. Before their marriage he always felt like telling her that he loved only Jennifer & now when she knows, why cant his heart be at peace? Why cant he feel happy that he will be with Jennifer soon? Why does it hurts to realise that he cant be with Annika forever? Damn! What the fuck is happening? What is wrong with my heart? It need to be with Jennifer but it wants Annika too. It wants a happy life with Jennifer but it hurts to see Annika in pain. What is this delimma? Why is everything so confusing" Shivay broke the flower vase in frustration throwing it away. Fortunately Annika was in washroom when he did that.
He has already hurted her much, he cant do it now.. He cant tell her that he has a college reunion in London tomorrow. He cant tell her that he is going to meet Jennifer. He cant leave her alone here & go.
He took out the phone & called Jennifer.
"Hey baby, so tickets booked?" She asked.
"Jenny, actually...dad is not well. I dont think I can make it up to the reunion party" he said trying to make an excuse.
"Is it that or about your wife Shivay?" She said, her tone had a tint of anger.
"I dont want to talk about this on phone, we will meet & talk. Anyways its about dad" he replied.
"Do watever you want Shivay" she said hanging up the call.
He knew she got upset. He knew he was not doing right with both the women. He didnt informed Jennifer that he is on a honeymoon. He cant tell Annika that he needs to go on the reunion. He was stuck badly.

•ANNIKA•
She heard his conversation. She could see how tensed he was & she knew that he canceled it because of her. She cant let that happen. She cant let her Shivay face any dull moment & she cant be a barrier between his happiness.
"Shivay, I think you should go to the party." she said while combing her hair.
"Annika..!!" escaped from his mouth in disbelief.
"I m sorry but I heard everything. College life is like the most amazing period of one's life & not everyone gets a chance to relive the memories. I think you should go & attend it" she said smiling at him.
"But Annika...I ca"
"Dont worry about me Shivay, Ill be here. Its just about a day or two" she said convincing him.
"I cant leave you alone here. If you want we both can go, otherwise I m not going" he said straight away.
"But Shivay, how can I go? I mean I dont even know anyone there moreover what are you gonna tell everyone? Who am I?" She asked him.
"Before anything, you are my best friend Annika, thats what I m going to tell everyone. I cant leave you alone" he said.
"But Shivay try to understand"
"Its a deal Annika, I m not leaving you alone here" he was adamant.
God she was stuck! "How can she go there? She cant, she doesn't wants to. Jennifer will be there, it will be very tough for her. But how can she not go? If she wont go, Shivay also wont. There is no other way. She cant snatch away his happiness" She thought.
"Okay fine Shivay" she said making him smile widely.
"But there is one problem Annika, actually I havent told anyone that I got married except Jennifer & they dont know about you. I dont know how to say it but they might guess it by your sindoor" he said in an apologetic tone.
She cant remove her sindoor. How can she! Its a sign of her marriage.
"But Shivay.. I cant..I mean" she replied.
"Its okay Annika. Ill handle it dont worry. I m sorry" he said.
She cant let him be embarrassed in front of his friends. She cant be a matter of his shame. Its just for a day, she can manage with her mangalsutra. Its he who matters for her. If she cant make him happy, what is the use of wearing the sindoor.
"I cant remove my mangalsutra, with sindoor I can manage & that too for a day or two" she said breaking his trance of thoughts.
"Thanku so much Annika" he replied.

•NEXT MORNING•
The next morning tickets were booked for the flight. They landed London at 2:00 pm. Shivay already told Jennifer that Annika is going to be with him, coz his dad wanted him to take her with him. Obviously she was not pleased to hear it but she said she will be fine.
When they came out of the flight, Annika saw a group of 5 to 6 people waiting for Shivay on the Airport. All of them hugged him tightly. They came from different places to attend the reunion.
Shivay hugged everyone & suddenly she saw a tall & fair girl hugging Shivay tightly. It didnt took her an extra minute to understand that it was Jennifer. The way she clung onto his body literally broke Annika's heart into pieces. "Its gonna be tough" she thought.
He met all his friends. Jennifer, Karan, Angelina, John, Ruskin all of them came to receive him on the airport. He felt so good after meeting them all. The moment Jennifer hugged him all he could do was think about Annika. He was not even able to respond back to the hug, coz he knew Annika will be hurt & he didnt wanted that. He just casually hugged Jennifer. Jennifer noticed this change & out of jealousy she asked
"Hey who is this girl with you" eyeing towards Annika.
Shivay couldn't understand why she did that infront of everyone, she knew Annika was his wife. Annika was able to notice the jealousy in Jennifer's eyes.
"She..She is Annika, my childhood bestie from India" he said introducing Annika.
Everyone came forward to meet her with wide smiles except Jennifer.
Annika obviously was expecting this. She knew Jennifer wont be pleased to meet her & somehow it made sense.
She met everyone with the same smile.
"Hey Annika, I m Karan Malhotra" a handsome man, with an equally charming face came forward & shook hands with her.
"Hello" she forwarded her hand & replied.
"You are beautiful" he said adoring her prettiness.
Annika could do nothing but smiled back.
"Did he just tried flirting with Annika" Shivay thought, staring at Karan.
Everyone started moving. Jennifer was with Shivay. All their friends knew about them. Karan started talking to Annika & they walked together. But Mr SSO was not liking this. "Why was Karan being so freaking friendly with Annika. He could talk to him as well but he was busy talking with Annika" he was busy thinking.
What made him more restless was the way Annika was smiling & replying to Karan. "What is there to smile? Is he cracking some joke? He cant crack jokes like me" he thought while moving. And all this while what all Jennifer said to Shivay got unheard by him. He was just looking back again & again.
"Are you even listening to me Shivay?" Jennifer shook his shoulder.
"Ye...Yes baby" he replied coming back to reality.
"Tell me what I said in last 5 minutes?" She asked him raising her eyebrow in anger.
"Actually..jenny" he stammered.
"You are busy admiring Annika again & again. What is wrong with you Shivay? Cant you see she is walking with Karan & they are happy talking to each other? Stop worrying about her & let her be herself" she said in a frustrated tone.
"Jennifer was right. Why was he looking back at Annika again & again? What is wrong if she is talking to Karan? Why is it frustrating him that she didnt even looked at him even once since that flirt is talking to her?Why is it irritating him?
Fuck this feeling" he thought & said
"I m sorry baby. I was just making sure that she is fine. She is my responsibility & moreover dad is not well. I cant let anything happen to her coz she is very close to my dad" he explained.
"Okay fine. Dont say sorry. Comeone lets go" saying this Jennifer entwined her hands with Shivay & moved.
