Chapter 8

(The next day)
Yawning, I attempted to stay awake and focused on are mission to catch the cat called Tora.
"Ginro where are you located?'' Hatake asked me.
"Ten feet away from the cat." I replied with another yawn. I glanced lazily at the cat. Ignoring what the rest of them say. I start to doze off in the tree I was perched in. Though I was jolted awake by Naruto screeching in the ear piece that he wanted a better mission and that he hated cats. Falling off the tree I landed painfully on my back. Pulling off the ear piece I threw it at Hatake.
''Darn it cousin! That was my hearing you baka!'' I shouted at Naruto.
My revenge towards Naruto came in the form of the cat repeatedly scratching his face. Wincing at his screaming I leaned down and carefully pulled the cat off of him, and began to pet the cat gently, I scratched her chin and cheeks. Soon the cat calmed down and snuggled into my arms purring loudly.
"Such a good kitty, your such a brave kitty aren't you. You're such a sweet, pretty kitty cat aren't you?'' I whispered softly to the cat, thoroughly enjoying listening to her purr as she snuggled into my arms.
"Wow Ginro. I didn't know that you liked cats. Or that cats liked you.'' Sakura spoke, watching in awe.
"How can you stand that stupid cat! Look what it did!" Naruto screamed at me, while gesturing towards his clawed up face.
"You scared her cousin, cats often react violently when they get scared. But when she's not scared she is actually a very sweet kitty." I said calmly, before kissing the top of Tora's head.
Hatake declared our mission a success and we had to return Tora to the lady she ran away from in the first place. Soon we made our way to the Hokage's office to receive another D rank mission. As we were waiting for cousin to finish his rant I became increasingly aware of why Blue sensei never liked the way the hidden villages handled things. I was stronger than they thought and I knew cousin and the rest of my team mates were just as strong.
"You were all just doubting the Hokage right now weren't you!" Iruka shouted at us.
Hatake and I were the only ones who seemed to be embarrassed. I smiled when the Hokage have in and gave our squad a C rank mission. As we started to leave to prepare for the mission the Hokage called myself and Hatake back into his office.
"Ginro, I'm afraid that you need to provide us with more information in order for us to track down your sensei. We know who she is and the everyone is concerned for the safety of the village. Blue is an S ranked rouge ninja, with several bounties placed on her head. We need to know Ginro. Are you a threat to the Hidden Leaf? Will you tell us or will we need to send you into integration to find out." The Hokage told me, a serious look came across his face.
Dipping my head I could only smile as I told him as little information as I could get away with.
"Blue sensei never really mentioned what she did that made her an S ranked rouge. She never liked talking about it but I know that it's bothered her for a while. As to where Blue sensei is I don't really know. She told me that we had to separate for a while because she was tracking something interesting and told me that I was smart enough to look after myself until then. I'm also not stupid enough to threaten a Hidden village. Besides cousin really likes it hear even though the villagers are mean to him every day." I said to the Hokage while wringing my wrist and keeping my eyes on the floor.
"Do you have any idea as to what she was tracking Ginro?" The third Hokage asked.
"No, not really. She just told me that I wasn't strong enough yet to go with her so she left on her own. If that's all you wanted to ask then can I go now to get ready for the mission." I answered.
"Yes, thank you Ginro you can go now. Don't be afraid to let us know if you need anything." The third Hokage told me.
I nodded respectfully at them before exiting the building to prepare for the C ranked mission.
(Back at the Hokage building)
Sarutobi stared grimly after Ginro as she left. He knew she could be a dangerous enemy if the rumors about Blue were true. He learned a few years ago that Blue had dedicated her life to hunting down dangerous criminals despite being one herself. He suspected that Blue was attempting to track down the criminal organization known as the Akatsuki and sent her student away to protect her.
"Kakashi, I want you to keep a close eye on Ginro. If she's anything like Blue then we should expect her to have a deadly edge when she fights. I fear that once Blue figures out that we have one of her students she might fight viciously to tear her away from us. She's never trusted any of the Hidden villages."
"I will Lord Hokage, I can't help but wonder if things would have been differently if the Hidden villages had treated her differently from what we did before. If things go south at least I remember the last fight against Blue. Hopefully that will give me some what of an edge." Kakashi said with a heavy sigh, remembering how close he came to dying at the hands of someone he was once so close to.
"We cannot change the past Kakashi, but hopefully we can make up for what happened to Blue by caring for her student. It's obvious how well Blue cared for her and how much effort she put into training Ginro. Maybe in the future we could make amends with her." Sarutobi said sadly, remembering the bright young shinobi that had a strong desire to care for everyone. But she had become hard and bitter after what had happened to her.
