Jon felt sicker the closer to their wedding date they got, Joffrey took him out to the gardens often to walk. Jon did not want to be here, he wanted to go home to Winterfell or hell, even back to the dothraki. Sandor always kept close proximity. Jora followed along if Jon had his dragons at his heel, Joffrey found the beasts terrifying but they made his omega happy, and that was something that he seemed to struggle with doing.
Jon was hard to understand, Joffrey had read plenty on what omegas should be and Jon didn't seem to fulfill a lot of those traits. He was more strong willed then they were said to be. Jon didn't typically wear shiny or sparkly things either. He was dressed as any lady would be, but it was clear to those watching closely that Jon was highly uncomfortable in the dresses.
Joffrey watched Jon with the dragons and did feel he had at least a motherly instinct of some sort which was good to know, he wanted to pin Jon down and use him, but the dog was always nearby and if not the dog, the other man who followed his mate like a lost puppy. He knew the guards would stop any advances he would pursue until he was truly allowed to be alone with Jon.
Their wedding felt too far away for Joffrey, yet for Jon it felt as if it was chasing him. Too close to feel prepared.
Jon, Joffrey, the dragons and the guards were walking in an awkward little group when Drogon spotted a squirrel and took off after it. "Drogon.. Wait.." Jon yelped, chasing after the little creature. Joffrey narrowed his eyes as his omega raced away from him following the scaly beast. "Drogon..."
Sandor wasn't far behind him, and Jora held the other two dragonlings back. They called for their sibling and mother.
Jon watched as Drogon fluttered up the tree after the squirrel. "Drogon." Jon snapped as he reached for the nearest branch.
"Jon stop." Sandor hissed under his breath. Jon ignored the alpha and pulled himself up grabbing for another branch. "Jon Snow, you will get hurt." Sandor grunted as he grabbed for the omegas ankles.
"I need to stop him before he lights the damned tree on fire, Sandor." Jon whined attempting to kick his foot free.
Joffrey caught up to them and spotted "Don't touch what is mine, Dog." Sandor removed his hand quickly, fearing Joffrey would have it cut free. Joffrey's own guard, Meryn, smirked. "Omega get down." Joffrey ordered.
Jon looked between him and Drogon. Jon sighed and grabbed for the dragon's tail, Drogon turned towards his mother and cocked his head. Jon grimaced as blood dripped out of his maw. "Oh Drogon...."
"Get down." Joffrey grunted once more. "Now Omega."
He was tapping his foot, and it was clear Jon was getting on his nerves. Jon grabbed the young dragon pulling him into his arms and maneuvered down. The squirrel in its jaw was dropped at Joffrey's feet. Showing off its kill.
"Disgusting..." Joffrey snarled. Jon looked him over with uncertainty before Jora let out a soft shout as Rhaegal and Viserion ripped from his hold and the three began to fight over the squirrel's corpse.
"Oh... they are hungry Jora, can you get them something to eat?" Jon asked softly, the alpha nodded and went to do as he was told.
Joffrey strode up to Jon and slapped him hard across the face. Jon yelped and recoiled from the slap, he stepped into Sandor who didn't budge but wished to stab Joffrey in the face. "When I tell you to do something, you do it."
"I-I'm sorry I di-didn't want him to set the tree-tree on fire."
"If they are that dangerous they will be chained up in the depths of this castle."
"You cannot do that to them." Jon grunted.
"Then train them better, 'mega." The way he said omega was filled with poison. "Now, apologize."
Sandor lifted a hand to place it on Jon's shoulder. Jon knew it was a push to do as he was told so he could just get it over with it. Yet all Jon wanted to do was spit in Joffrey's face. Jon bit his lip as he choked back an insult. "I.. I apologize for not coming down right away... I will ensure they are trained... Wouldn't want an accident to happen." Jon remarked. Joffrey didn't hear the threat, but Sandor certainly did and it took everything The Hound had to not smirk.
"Good. See you can behave." Joffrey smiled and tipped Jon's chin up to examine the mark he had left on the omegas face. "It isn't even that red."
"Drogon, Viserion, Rhaegal." Jon began. The three dragons looked to their mother for instruction. "Go back to your room."
They each fluttered about before shooting off towards the terrace of Jon's bedroom.
"They do listen?"
"When they're hungry or I am in danger, they listen less." Jon remarked softly as he brought his hand to the stinging sensation on his cheek. "They're getting bigger by the day, which means they hunger for more than fish and squirrels. Bigger game will be their target soon."
Joffrey still didn't understand the threats that were being spat at him, Sandor turned his head towards the fountains in an attempt to hide his creeping grin. "They are startling, I thought they would stay as small as they were when you first brought them here."
"As did I.." Jon retorted, but he could tell that his 'children' would soon be far too large for a single man to bring down if needed. "I again apologize for my slight.... I won't climb trees any longer."
"Very unladylike, my queen will not be seen like that. Do you understand me?"
"Yes." Jon nodded softly. "After all, I wouldn't want to be seen as a man standing beside you."
Joffrey simply smiled, but it was taking everything for the omega not to punch him in the face. The only thing that was keeping Jon going at this moment was the knowledge his mother, younger brothers, and sisters would be coming for the wedding, as would many of the other houses. More people together meant less attention on only him. The tensions between many houses were high, and Jon was hoping something entertaining would occur to keep everyone's eyes off of him.
Sandor turned back to follow Jon and Joffrey, Meryn didn't seem to pick up on the threats most people unassuming of omegas and the true threats they could be if needed. Jon kept his eyes on Joffrey, the man had struck him, that was not going to slide.
Drogo had grown softer the longer they had been together, and it was Dothraki code to be dark and dangerous. It was unbecoming of a king to mistreat his lady specifically if they were omega. Jon had vowed never to be a toy again, and he wouldn't let this prince change that.
He was going to figure out how to get out of this betrothal and if he could do it before Joffrey fucked him that would be even better.
