Staying Safe

"Eclipse... Eclipse," a familiar voice called out. Eclipse slowly opened her eyes and groaned softly as she sat up.

"What happened?" She asked and pressed her palm against her forehead with a flinch. Her head was pounding, making the headache worse.

"You want the long or the short version?" Sakura asked, sitting down on the bed. "Uh, short?" Eclipse said.

"Well in simple terms, you're a descendant of Cassiopeia," Day said with a small smile but she had the worried look on her face.

Eclipse tensed up for a moment and her eyes slightly widened. "H-how?" She whimpered.

"That's what I'd like to know," Slayer said, "Rose said that you were a dragon too."

"I am," Eclipse said hesitantly, "doesn't make me any more of a monster than I already am." Fire frowned at her, "you're not a monster."

Eclipse narrowed her eyes before she turned and lifted the back of her shirt. She held back a flinch as everyone gasped.

There were a lot of scars on her back and they looked healed. Slayer let out a dark growl, his eyes turning red. "Who did that to you?" He asked calmly.

"He's long gone," Eclipse said darkly. Primrose felt a shiver run down her spine. Night swallowed nervously and he stepped back.

Day looked at Eclipse but she didn't say anything. "Where are we?" Night asked Slayer.

"We're in the Dragon Kingdom," Slayer said. "Are you... king here?" Fire asked curiously.

"Yes," Slayer said with a nod. Rain blinked in surprise. Shadow glanced at the window and leaned back against the wall. He seemed to have a lot on his mind.

Primrose leaned into Day and jumped slightly when there was a commotion going on. "What was that?" Comet asked nervously.

"I'll check," Slayer said before he left. Day walked after him. Primrose glanced at the others before she hurried after Day and Slayer.

"Huh," Rain said, making Night look at her. "What?" He asked.

"Prim's gotten awfully attached to those two really quickly," Rain said, "and I can't help but wonder-" "Careful, Rain," Fire said calmly, "you'll be treading on dangerous territory if you finish that thought."

"Just saying," Rain said, shrugging. Primrose walked beside Day and Slayer, her arm wrapped around Day's as the three walked down the hallway.

There were stained glass windows on each side of the wall. It reminded Primrose of the church back in the Wolf Kingdom. She smiled a little.

Day smiled softly and rubbed Primrose's head. "You and your friends are always welcomed here, Rose," Slayer said.

"Thank you, Slayer," Primrose said with a soft smile, "thank you both." She looked around and yawned softly.

"Tired?" Day asked with a soft chuckle. "Kinda," Primrose said with a sleepy smile as she rubbed her eye.

A maid came over. Day looked at her, "can you show Rose to her room please?" "Yes, your highness," the maid said with a soft smile and she looked at Primrose, "right this way, Lady Rose."

Primrose looked up at Day who gave a reassuring nod and she followed the maid down the hallway. Slayer looked at Day, "you okay, love?"

"I'm fine, love. But honestly, I worry for Rose," Day said, "she seems to have been through a lot." "Well she's here with us," Slayer said gently, wrapping his arms around her waist, "she has us now."

"Heh, you're right," Day chuckled softly and she smiled at Slayer and kissed him on the cheek. Slayer smiled and he held Day close.

Primrose laid down on a bed, staring at the ceiling longingly. She rubbed her shoulder before she rested her arm over her eyes. 'Don't think about it so much,' she thought to herself, 'you're safe. You belong here.'

Turning onto her side, there were scars on her arms and side. She slowly closed her eyes. No nightmares bother her that night.

Day came into the room and she smiled softly. Walking over to Primrose, she sat on the bed and gently rubbed her head. Primrose leaned into her touch before she turned and wrapped her arms around Day's waist, burying her face into her side.

Day smiled softly and gently ran her fingers through Primrose's hair. "My Rose," she said softly.

A crow was perched on the branch of a nearby tree and it stared at the bedroom window with bright green eyes. After a few silent moments, the crow flew up into the air and disappeared out of sight.

OoOoOoOoOoOo

In the darkest, deepest corners of the Galaxy, there was a red and blue planet. And on that planet was a city colored black and green and silver.

There was a large castle that was decorated with black and green. In the throne room, there were stained glass windows of stars and whenever the sun came, the windows illuminated on the floor.

A woman sat on the throne. She had beautiful white hair and bright blue eyes. She wore a black long-sleeved dress with symmetrical green streaks and a silver dress train.

It was the Goddess of the Black Moon. Cassiopeia.

She had her eyes closed in thought until the sound of the doors opening made her look up to see a male with silver hair and dark blue eyes.

He was a guard as he wore black knight armor. "Your highness," he said, getting down on one knee.

Cassiopeia looked at him calmly, "what is it, Halcyon?" "One of the Blue Moon Mages have returned to Onneron with a message," Halcyon said, keeping his head down, "she is waiting for you in the hall."

"Ah, very good," Cassiopeia said with a fange grin as she got up, "send her in."

"Yes, my Queen," Halcyon said before he quickly hurried back to the door and it closed behind him. After a few moments, a young woman came into the throne room.

"Ah, Celeste," Cassiopeia said with a smile, "I am glad to see that one of you was able to make it back. Portia, to some extent, proved to be foolish."

"Indeed, your highess," Celeste said calmly, her hands clasped behind her back, "I have come with news from one of the Eclipse Hunters."

"What is it?" Cassiopeia demanded, her back to the Blue Moon mage.

"A young Dragon," Celeste said, "she is a descendant from you." Silence fell over the throne room.

"...what?" Cassiopeia hissed, her eyes narrowing coldly as her pupils turned to slits, "how is that possible?"

"I do not know, your highness," Celeste said, keeping her voice calm. Cassiopeia turned around to face Celeste, her sharp teeth bared in fury, "no one has my blood flowing through their veins! No one! I have no desire for heirs!"

"I know it's hard to believe, my queen, but think about it; the faster you get rid of the Wolves' queen, the easier you can get rid of Apollo's good name. Only then will you finally take back what is yours," Celeste said, "that dragon and the phoenix will be the keys to your ultimate victory."

Cassiopeia stared at Celeste for a moment before she smirked. "You certainly have a way with words, Celeste," she said, a purr rising in her throat, "I'm beginning to like you. See to it that the Blue Moon Mages and the Red Moon Mages secure the Eclipse Creatures. And send in Elektra. I'm curious to see how her current experiment is going."

"Yes, ma'am," Celeste said with a nod before she walked out of the throne room. When the sounds of the door closing reached Cassiopeia's ears, her smile faded into a deep frown before her lips curled up into a snarl and she slammed her fist into the wall.

"Curse them... curse them all to the Fiery Starless Darkness," she hissed, "I will make sure that all of the planets are mine. And if it means taking prisoners... then so be it."
