I watched as the wind forced the trees to dance and the clouds blocked my compass that guided me home. The north star. I've been worried about Shay, he's been acting strange lately. I worry he's getting sick, but he never tells me any thing. All I can do is hope he's alright. I was led by Grover, my trusty advisor, back to the pack circle since I had always gotten lost in the woods, even though my father had led me on them several times. I've been alpha for about a year, and I'm still new at these sorta things. I go back to the alpha den, which was the biggest house in the circle. "Hey, Shay? I know you're probably not gonna want to eat but…" I begin turning back into a human and go upstairs after hearing a thud coming from upstairs in our room. I see Shay there, laying on the floor. He whimpered as he looked at me. "Shay, what happened?" I knelt down to pick him up, still sore from shifting back. I held him close to my chest, he was so hot. I mean that temperature wise, though his appearance looked like crap right now. His skin was drained from color and his beautiful ember eyes weren't lively like they usually are. "Baby, I don't feel so good," Shay groans. "It's okay Shay, I'll take care of you, I promise," I held him close as I brought us both onto our bed and bundled him up in the blankets. "Tell me, what hurts?" I looked over his body. "Body aches, especially my stomach," it growled. "You're probably just hungry," I tried not to think that he might be sick. "Already tried that. I threw up," he groaned. "Sorry to hear that baby, I'll get you an appointment, okay baby?" He looked at me. "Okay," he rested his head against me, his ears and tail sticking out. I then realized he was too weak to hide them right now. "I'll take care of you baby," I kissed his hair as he began to fall asleep. Even sick he still looked as adorable as ever.
