I looked to my husband who had fallen asleep on the chair beside me. I couldn't help but smile at him, he looked so cute sleeping, even if he did snore like an angry bear. He was my angry bear. My angry dada bear. I then looked to baby bear who was sleeping on the bed still. I went over to him and gently stroked his hair. My eyes frozen on the bandage over his eyes. "This wasn't supposed to happen. They said the medicine would help him," I cried. Luckily, no one heard my thoughts. I looked back to Shay who looked rather hot in that sweatshirt he was wearing. I didn't move it though. I know he gets cranky if he's woken up. The doctor came in and checked over Xavier. "Will. He. Be. Alright?" I asked sternly, wanting the truth for once. "If his condition his treated with care," the doctor answered. "And What do we tell him when he wakes up, how will we keep him from freaking out?" I asked. "Comfort him. Let him know you're there," the doctor replied. I simply nodded and looked over at Shay again. "Doctor could I ask you a hypothetical question?" I asked. "Sure. What is it?" He shrugged. "Say if someone was hiding something from you. How would you know?" I asked as I looked back to the doctor. "Well...first they'd be acting strange and most likely try to dodge whatever's bothering them. Most people anyway," the doctor answered. "Any reason you ask?" He asked me, knowing something was wrong. "Just some family conflict I wish not to get into," I tell him. He nodded. "I understand. Perhaps you two should get some rest at home and talk about things while he's recovering," that really made my ears boil since I WAS NOT! Going to leave until he is SAFE! "Please sir, for him try to rest in your bed along side your husband," the doctor says. My eyes must've became red since he had a scared look about his face. "Alright Fine," I huffed and looked to Shay whom I apparently woke up since he was now standing with his arms folded on his waist. "Come on Shay, we can go home and get some rest," I say as I went over and dragged him by the hand to the door. Strangely, he didn't protest or even bring up Xavier. Must've still been half asleep. We soon arrive home, Shay following behind me. "We should get to bed," I tell him. "No, you should. I'm not tired," he yawned. "Oh really?" I asked. He's acting so strange. "Yeah," He says with another yawn. "Shay please, I know when you're lying," I frowned before I hugged him. He quickly backed away. Within the few seconds of feeling his stomach, I could tell what was bothering him....
He was pregnant.
