It has been a day and a half since our precious Xavier was born, and today he has to be commissioned into the pack, though the doctors said there was something wrong with him…which worried me the most. I waited for Shay to wake up from surgery so I could present him with the protein shake I had got for him since he has to stay in the hospital so they could make sure he's alright. Which honestly saddened me, especially since he has to be in a wheelchair for when we commission our baby into the pack. I held Xavier close, hearing him crying. His face began turning red and his hands scrunched into tight fists. He was a little under weight for a baby where wolf and his whole body could sit in one of my arms and I'd still have extra room. He eased himself into my arms, his dark cowlicks hidden under the hood of the fuzzy long onsie. He looked so peaceful there in my arms, and that's how I wish it would always be. I wish for him to always be at peace in my arms. I want him to know the warmth of my touch and the love in my comfort. He will always be loved, as long as his daddy and I both shall live.

Xavier's outfit: (in case you didn't notice there is more of the story under the image)

I go into the living room where I see Shay preparing his diaper bag, which was blue with dark brown stripes with his name sewn into it. He looked so helpless, much like the pup in my arms. "Need any help?" I asked in a whisper as I step closer to him. "Could you grab the dummy I dropped?" He asked, his voice at hush as well. I gently lowered the boy into Shay's arms before bending over and grabbing the green pacifier that was by Shay's wheelchair. "Baby are you sure you don't want to change him? He feels hot," Shay says to me as he rocked him slightly with his arms. "It's winter, there's snow on the ground," I say as I go over and place one of my big hands on the boy's small skull. He was right. He is warm. "I hope he's not getting sick. Especially this early in his life," I frowned as I slowly took him from Shay. He began crying a little before I gave him a bottle and gently patted four fingers on his back. He sucked rhythmically. "We should probably go while he's at peace," I whisper to Shay, who nods his head and wheels out the door. The pack was waiting for us there, all of them in their wolf form. I hid Xavier in my arms as we made our way through the wolves. I sat at the Alpha perch and sat the child in the holder made from a warn rock that was covered by animal hides.
