So ya, here I was sitting in the den, waiting for something exiting to happen. Even the cubs were allowed to go out. Lana and Bard have been hanging out together more often and Lana never visits me. There is not enough game out here for about 100 wolves, so the hunts are more frequent. I have been watching Fillin for two days now and he still hasn't gotten any better. The med wolves are nervous that he might not make it, because he lost a lot of blood and was hit really hard in the head. I was freaking out and breaking down that I might lose one of my best friends.

"How is he doing?" It seems like I asked that 20 times already but who knows what could happen.

"He is actually doing better than yesterday. He temperature has come up and he is starting to move in his sleep."

"Oh my gosh, that's great! Do you know when he is going to wake up?" I was relieved that he was going to be ok, but the med wolves were being all negative about the situation.

"Well we didn't say he was for sure going to be ok. He probably will wake up though." He nodded to me and turned towards Fillin.

"Tell me when he is awake."

"Sure. I'll do that"

I went to the mouth of our den and watch as other pack members went on their merry way, free from fathers like mine. I shifted my gaze to the left and saw my father.

"Dad? hey, dad. Can I please come out now. I have been in here for days. Please!"

"Kit." my father started as he walked in my direction. "Kit, the reason why I am doing this is to keep you safe. if you didn't know any better, that could be you in Fillin's place. I couldn't let that happen."

"But, dad, I do know better. you think because I am a she-wolf that I am not capable. Oh, but I am capable. Dad all I have ever wanted to do was fight and hunt. and because I am a she-wolf, I don't have a chance to do that." I am glad I got that. My father has never understood me. All I want is for him to listen to me and give me a chance.

"Alright, listen, let's make a deal. You can come out, but you have to have an alpha with at all times. And I will let you come on a small hunt in a few days. Is that alright with you?"

"Yes, but do i have to gave a guy following me everywhere?"

"Everywhere." my dad replied sternly.

"Everywhere??" I said trying to hint at specific everyday activity that one being must do alone.(if you know what I mean. if you don't it is "going to the bathroom")

"Ok, not everywhere. Sorry. but you know what I mean. No trips or adventures without someone I send with you."

"Fine! thank you though. I love you!" I nudged him with my nose and licked his forehead.

"Ok, run along. Stay close to camp!" He should know me better. I kept running till I got to the river. And yikes I was scared for life from what I saw. Lana and Bard kissing. yuck
