Chapter 3

Time dragged on and finally the lesson was over.

The bell ran and I rushed to pack my stuff into my bag.

"Willows, stay behind please." Professor Snape asked when he dismissed us.

"Yes sir?" I asked when everyone had gone.

"I suppose I'm the person that making the potion for you to drink before your transformation every full moon." He said.

"Yes sir." I nodded.

"Did it work?" He asked.

I shrugged. "I don't know, I blacked out just before I finished transformed."

The professor frowned.

"Off you go then. You'll be late for your next lesson." He said.

"Thanks sir." I said and walked out confused. What did he mean about the potion working?

I just made it in time for the next lesson and sat at my own desk. Apparently we had our own desk in this lesson rather than the other where one person sat with you.

"My name is professor Mcgonagall and i will be teaching you for this lesson." A woman wearing a big black hat introduced.

"We will be learning about how to change animals into objects today, turn to page three."

The lesson was rather boring and I fell asleep a few times during it, only to be woken again a few minutes later when the professor secretly tapped me awake as she walked past.

"Brooke Willows, come here please." Professor Mcgonagall asked at the end of the lesson.

I sighed inwardly, why are all the teacher making me stay behind?

"You must be the new werewolf here." The professor asked me.

I nodded. Well, dur.

"I know this may be a disappointment to you, but you might not be able to do some of my lessons. You could hardly stay awake to listen to the important speech today and you could be a danger to yourself if you don't know what your doing." The professor said.

"So, what does that mean? I can't do your lessons?" I demanded.

"No, not at all, you can do my lessons, you'll just have to come to my office for extra lessons once a month." The professor said.

I nodded. "Is that all?" I asked.

"Yes, but I do want to say, you are brave and can cope with your, condition. I've seen many werewolves gone rogue you'd age and younger for they can't cope because of it." The professor smiled at me.

I smiled back slightly. "Thanks." I said.

"Of you go now. Oh and, take this. You have the rest of the day off."

I thanked the professor again and walked out to my friends who were waiting.

"Two teachers asking you to stay behind. What the hell is going on Brooke?" Lauren asked me.

"The teachers were either concerned or annoyed I was sleeping or yawning in their lessons." I said and made my way to the hall. It was lunch time and I was hungry.

My friends followed with me. "Well, I'm not holding any hope for you for next lesson." Faith said.

"Actually, I got a pass to get out of lessons for the rest of the day." I said.

"No way!" Milo gasped and grabbed it out of my hand and read it.

"You have to go to the medical bay. That's boring." Milo sighed sadly and gave it back to me.

"It may be boring if I'm awake but I'm going to be asleep." I told him yawning.

"When you going?" Faith asked smacking her brother again.

"After lunch, probably till dinner." I shrugged.

Not looking where I was going Lauren had to grab my shirt and pull me away from someone.

"Sorry," I apologised to the person.

"Well, look who we have here. Scar face." A familiar voice cut me short and cold.

"Long time no see spot face." I replied gritting my teeth.

The boy who was leaning against the wall in Slytherin uniform pushed off the wall and stood in front of me.

His short school boy cut blonde hair contrasted to the familiar brown and orange streaked hair I was used to.

"I'm not surprised your bitch bit you after you hurt it. Some nights I could hear it screaming and howling in pain." The boy said.

My fists clenched up. "For your information James, that 'bitch' is called Snowdrop and no I didn't hit her!" I replied angrily.

"Then explain the scratch marks that appeared when it was the next day." James smirked thinking he'd won.

I didn't say anything.

"Didn't think so, and what the hell is the name Snowdrop any way for a black dog?" He asked getting carried away.

"Being racist much are we?" I said looking at him in the eye.

He looked back for a while and then looked away. Submitting to me unconsciously.

"What is going on here?" A voice cut in.

"Nothing prefect, just saying goodbye." James said. "See ya around cuz." He pushed past me and left leaving us with the perfect.

"There better not be." The prefect said snobby and walked off.

I punched the wall next to me softly.

"Who was that?" Faith asked when we got to the hall.

"My cousin, James Mims." I sighed. "He's a bastard in both sense of the word."

"Was it true what he said? About you hurting your dog?" Lauren asked.

I shook my head. "No, I'd never willingly hurt my dog, she was my best friend on the farm before we relocated to the town. Sometimes she'd go running off so to try to train her out of it we made her sleep in her kennel in the barn. Cried like anything during the night." I said.

Milo nodded. "Wolfy used to do that when we were training him to sleep downstairs."

"Used to train him? I remember you stopped training him and let him sleep on your bed after a couple nights." Faith snorted.

I laughed and then ate some tomato soup.

The food vanished again and everyone got up.

"See you later Brooke." Lauren said as they left.

"You too."

I made my way to the medical bay and slept soundly till six thirty.
