Secrets of the Past
Hey everyone! The next few chapters will be Crowvern's POV and his apprentice's POV. Now I asked a couple of my friends to be a part of this, but I won't tell you until the showdown between Zelara and Crowvern. This one is Crowvern's POV, BTW. Enjoy!
"Block high!" I said.
I brought down my training saber and my apprentice blocked my attack.
Ilona has gotten stronger, but it would be more beneficial for her to train with an actual lightsaber instead of these worthless sticks... If only she can find a kyber crystal...
Ilona then swung her stick near my side. Dodging her attack, I tripped her with my stick and watched her fall backward. When she tried to get up, I rested the tip of the stick against her neck.
"And that's your head." I said.
Ilona let out a frustrated sigh and swatted away the stick. She got up and brushed away the dust that stained her skin and attire.
"Let's go again," I said, handing Ilona her fallen weapon.
"Again?" she asked half-heartedly, taking the training saber.
"Yes! If you want to become stronger, physically, and mentally, you need to train; no matter how vigorous it may be."
Ilona groaned and expertly spun her stick.
"Ready position." I said.
Ilona nodded and lunged forward. Charging at her, I swung the training saber over and over. Ilona was able to block every single blow, but in the end, I bested her again.
"Again." I said.
"What?" Ilona suddenly asked.
I stared at my apprentice in surprise.
"All we've been doing for the past few days was lightsaber training. When are you going to teach me how to use this Force?" Ilona asked.
"You want to learn how to use the Force? Fine. Lift the ship." I said, pointing at it.
Ilona looked at me with a smug expression on her face. Stepping in front of the ship, she held out her hand and closed her eyes. After what felt like half an hour, Ilona has yet to succeed in lifting the ship.
"Did you have to ask me to lift something so heavy?" she asked.
"Why are you complaining to me? You're the one who wanted to learn how to use the Force." I said.
Stepping in front of her, I held out my hand and easily lifted the ship of the dusty ground like it was nothing.
"Showoff..." Ilona muttered.
Letting a small smile form, I carefully placed the ship back on the ground.
"You make it look so easy," Ilona said.
"That's because it IS easy. You just have to focus," I said.
"First, I was focusing. Did you not see me standing here for the past half-hour? Second, you lifted the ship with little to no effort."
"You start small by doing something big is what my Master used to say. When I started out, he made me lift a boulder twice the size of the ship. Now, whenever I lift the ship, it's as light as a pebble."
Ilona sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Try again, but this time, become one with the Force." I said.
Ilona nodded and held out her hand once more. The ship began to rumble and was soon lifted off the ground.
"Yes!" Ilona cheered.
"Lose focus, drop my ship, and I'll kill you." I warned coldly.
Ilona nodded and gently set down my ship. A satisfied smile spread across my lips.
"Good first start," I said.
"So, what's next? More saber training?" Ilona asked.
"No, I think I'm done for the day."
Turning on my heel, I walked onto the ship.
"I going to meditate. You can go practice more with the Force on the boulders in the distance," I said.
"Oh, I was going to take a break." Ilona said.
"That wasn't a suggestion."
I then walked into my room without another word. Letting a sigh escape my lips, I sat on my legs and started meditating.
It has been almost two months now and Ilona still has not found a kyber crystal. If Zelara did not steal my green one, we would have made some actual progress. She is not fit to be a Sith, let alone a Jedi... Ilona is too rash and impatient. She is only good at hand-to-hand combat...
I let out a deep, heavy sigh to suppress my anger.
On the bright side, Ilona is fit to be an assassin. When the time comes, I will send her to find Zelara, gather information, and kill her. It is none of my concern if something happens to her. She is just a pawn in my plan, if not an annoyance...
I then heard a knock at my door. Opening it with the Force, I saw Ilona in the door frame. Slightly smirking, she leaned on the door frame.
"I managed to lift up three large boulders at a time." Ilona said.
"If I didn't see it, it didn't happen." I said, my eyes remaining shut.
I could feel Ilona looking at me with an annoyed look.
"That's not fair. It took me a long while for me to even get one up in the air." Ilona said.
"Now that I can believe." I said, standing up.
Ilona scoffed and rolled her eyes. I let a small laugh escape my lips.
"Well, rest up, Ilona. Tomorrow, you're going to locate a kyber crystal." I said.
"Yes, Master." Ilona said.
She then disappeared into her cabin. Closing my door, I sat on my bed and continued to meditate. I then began to tap into a certain Force signature.
"It has been a while... Zelara..." I said.
I looked up and saw Zelara, even though she wasn't in my room.
It looked like she was in a ship cabin of her own. She has gotten much stronger; I can feel it...
"What do you want Crowvern?" she asked.
"What? No hello to your old Master?" I asked.
Zelara crossed her arms while she let out a scoff and rolled her eyes.
"Even after everything we've been through..." I said.
Zelara remained silent.
"Why are you doing this?" she asked.
"Because of you..." I said, my voice dark and cold.
I stood up and took a step forward towards my former Padawan.
"I really must thank you. Without you, I would have forgotten what I truly am." I said.
"A Sith?" Zelara asked.
I let a smile form across my face.
"How could you? My parents, my mother, trusted you. She welcomed you into our family. How could you betray her trust... MY trust, like that?" Zelara asked.
I turned to face the young woman and smiled. When I leaned in close, Zelara leaned back.
"You don't understand, do you? You want to know why I knew an Inquisitor was chasing you when you were little?" I asked.
Zelara's brown eyes widened and filled with tears.
"...No..." she mumbled.
"Because I'M the one who sent him... I sent him to get you to bring back to me to train in the way of the Sith. I told the Inquisitor to strike down anyone who stood in his way, even if it meant killing your parents." I said.
Zelara was speechless. I straightened up and smiled down at her.
"I will say this; you have gotten stronger, and I cannot wait to kill you once and for all..." I said.
"YOU MONSTER!" Zelara shouted.
Her outburst didn't faze me in the slightest.
"If you think about it, YOU'RE the monster. If you have not used that little Force technique on me, none of this would be happening." I said.
Zelara was about to protest, but kept quiet, knowing that I was right.
"Where are you?" she asked.
"Why? So, you could rush over and kill me? That would not be a smart idea, now would it?" I asked.
Zelara growled at me and clenched her fists.
"Don't think that I don't know what you've been doing for the past couple of years," I said.
"I'm not entirely surprised that you would hear about that," Zelara said.
"If I'm being perfectly honest, I thought I was just going to strike down Zelara June but knowing that I'm going to kill the Wolf Jedi; I'm even more eager to fight you now."
"Glad to give you something to look forward to, but that's not going to happen, I'm afraid."
I exhaled a chuckle and shook my head in amusement.
"My dear Zelara, you have no idea what kind of storm you're about to face." I said, sitting down on my bed.
"I could say the same to you." she said.
My elbows rested on my legs as I propped up my head on my crossed fingers. A sinister smile soon spread across my face.
"When are you coming?" Zelara asked.
"Oh, I can't tell you that. All I'm saying is that you'd better train because you're going to need it..." I said coldly.
Zelara glared at me before disappearing. I let out a sigh and laid back into my bed.
I know Ilona is not going to find a kyber crystal, and probably never will. I will just have to train her to fend for herself without one. Either that or train her to be an assassin...
Hope you enjoyed this part! Suggestions are forever open and appreciated. May the Force be with You!
