A Day at Galaxy's Edge {Ghost Crew}

Hey everyone! Hope you're all having a Force-tastic day! Another random skit. What if Zelara and the Ghost Crew went to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge? That would be insane! (Hera and Zeb would be humans, BTW) Anyway, on with the story!

"This is going to be so much fun!" Ezra cried.

I looked around at the scenery around us and smiled.

Today, the others and I were at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, a new park opened by Disney. Since all of us huge Star Wars fans, why not check it out?

"Calm down, Ezra. We've barely even walked through the entrance." Sabine said.

"Still, this is amazing! A whole amusement park dedicated to Star Wars!" Ezra said cheerfully.

He's as enthusiastic and energetic as ever... It's nice to see him like this.

"So, what are we going to do first?" Zeb asked.

"Well, why don't we go on a ride first? I heard that there was a ride called Rise of the Resistance," Hera said.

"Really? That sounds interesting," Kanan said.

"I think the word you're looking for is fun, Kanan." I said.

"That too."

"I just checked the map. The ride is just a few minutes from here."

"Come on!" Ezra cried.

Following the energetic kid, we soon made it to the Rise of the Resistance ride.

"Well, let's head inside." I said.

"That was so much fun!" I said.

"I have to admit, that was really fun." Kanan said.

I smiled at Kanan and nodded.

"That drop from the escaped pod startled me a little," Sabine said.

"You literally screamed when it happened." Zeb said.

"Shut up, Zeb."

"So, what should we do next?" Ezra asked.

"I heard there was a place called Savi's Workshop where you can build your own lightsaber," Hera said.

"Build your own lightsaber? Now that sounds fun." I said.

"We're not too far from the place, so let's go there."

We followed Hera's lead until we reach our destination.

"Well, let's head inside." I said.

We walked inside and was led into a room with a round table. When some other people walked in, the room became dimly lit. Then, a man walked into the center of the room and began speaking.

"Welcome to the workshop. Now, I know this seems a little... well, not a lot, but to us, this is everything. I see you've already met our gatherers, please introduce yourselves," he said.

"Tracy."

"Cindy."

"Oscar."

"Austin."

"And you may call me Kembe. Now, to some of you, this may look like old junk. Let me assure you... some of it is new junk."

Everyone chuckled at his joke.

"Let me explain. We humbly call ourselves the Gatherers. We search the galaxy for ancient relics, abandoned places, forgotten outposts, and battle-ravished planets, and what we find we bring it here, to the workshop," Kembe said.

"Almost like you, Ezra." I whispered, nudging his shoulder.

"Shut up." he said, giving me a playful glare.

"To a Stormtrooper, they see worthless clutter, but to those who know, they see priceless history, and in these troubled times, preserving our past may ensure our future."

Wow, deep stuff...

"You've all heard the legend of Luke Skywalker, yes?" Kembe asked.

"Yes," the room answered.

"Very good. Well, now we hear there is another, a new Jedi. Do you know her name?"

"Rey."

"Rey! Yes! What she is leading is the spark of hope that we have been searching for for so long. And that's why you're here; to look ahead. Well, and... to build this."

He reached to his side and held up a lightsaber.

"A lightsaber. The lightsaber has been wielded by some of our greatest heroes and darkest enemies." Kembe said.

It looks like the real deal.

"It is elegant, and it is an art to build a lightsaber. The saber is a reflection on its builder with the Force flowing between them... Today, you will feel that connection. But enough talk. Let's begin, shall we?" Kembe asked.

The room began to cheer.

"We begin with perhaps the most important part of the lightsaber." Kembe said.

He then opened a small box with four colorful rocks inside.

Are those what I think they are...?

"The kyber crystal. Able to focus the energy of the Force to magnify it." Kembe explained.

I knew it.

"Some say that the kyber crystal is the heart of the lightsaber. The color of the crystal determines the color of the lightsaber as well." Kembe said.

When he held up the blue kyber crystal, the ceiling above us turned blue.

"The blue crystal. Like the one wielded by Obi-Wan Kenobi, his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, and now, Rey." Kembe said.

He then held up the green crystal and the ceiling turned said color.

"Green. Qui-Gon Jinn, Ahsoka Tano, Master Yoda himself, and Luke Skywalker." Kembe said.

When he held up the next crystal, the ceiling turned a violet purple.

"The violet crystal. Rare, beautiful, like the one wielded by Mace Windu." Kembe explained.

Then, Kembe held up the last crystal and the ceiling turned red.

"And, red. The color of power. The crystal of Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress, Darth Vader, and now, Kylo Ren." Kembe said.

He then placed the box down and looked up with a smile.

"But these are the stories of the past and we're here for you, our future. And now it's time to select your crystal." Kembe said.

Finally!

"Everyone close your eyes. In your mind, picture your crystal. What color do you see? What color calls to you? What color is yours?" Kembe asked.

Definitely blue. It's my favorite color.

"Now, everyone, open your eyes and chose your crystal, and remember... your crystal may be choosing you." Kembe said.

When I opened my eyes, the crystals Kembe showed us were all around us.

"So, what color are you guys choosing?" I asked.

"Blue." Kanan and Ezra said.

"Same. Hera, Sabine, Zeb? What about you guys?"

"Green for me." Hera said.

"Purple." Sabine said.

"Then I'll take red." Zeb said.

When one of the Gatherers came over, Cindy, she held out a capsule and showed us the different colors of kyber crystals. I smiled eagerly and picked up a blue one. Kanan and the others did the same with their crystals.

"Now that you have selected your crystals, we will now pair crystal with the unique lightsaber design that you have chosen." Kembe said.

The Gatherers soon came out with trays and placed them in front of us. I looked around and saw that everyone had different parts.

"We will begin by building your hilt, the foundation of your lightsaber. In these boxes are the unique components of the lightsaber that you, yourselves, have chosen. In these boxes are the chassis, exhibition plates, grips, pummel caps, and emitter." Kembe explained.

The parts look like they're out of the movies.

"Building a lightsaber is a journey. The Gatherers are here to help if you ever need assistance. So, are we ready?" Kembe asked.

"Yes!" the room cried.

"Then, let's build."

With that everyone began building their lightsabers. When I picked up the chassis, it had a little weight to it.

"Whoa, this feels like metal." I said.

"That's because it is." Kembe said.

Whoa...

Listening to the Gatherer's instructions, the others and I were able to finish the hilt of our lightsabers.

"Now builders, if you have completed your hilt, I recommend you place it in your dominant hand, whether that being your left or your right."

I then placed the hilt in my right hand.

"Start to feel how that lightsaber sits within your grasp, start to feel how your fingers rest on each component. Every lightsaber in this workshop is a unique creation." Kembe said.

I looked at my lightsaber and smiled at my work. I looked at the others' lightsabers and they looked just as pleased. Everyone then set their hilts down when Kembe asked us to.

"There, nothing too crazy or traumatic happened, because why would it, which brings us to the most dangerous part of the process. Everyone, please take a big step back." Kembe said.

We obeyed and took a big step back, my back almost touching the wall.

"The Gatherers will now begin stabilizing your crystals for activation. This must be done with a great deal of care, skill, and timing." Kembe said.

The Gatherers then began placing our hilts in the small sockets that were next to us. When Kembe was about to speak, the room turned green, and another voice took over.

"Yes, the lightsaber. It begins. It is time, your journey." said a familiar voice.

Wait, isn't that...?

"Master Yoda. It is indeed time to take that first step. The bond between saber and builder is about to be forged." Kembe said.

I still can't believe that was Master Yoda speaking just then...

"In a moment on my signal, you will take a step forward and place your hand on that hilt, and we will activate for the first time. Are you ready?" Kembe asked.

"Yes!" the room cheered.

"Now, take that step forward and place your hand on that hilt."

We followed his instructions and did as told.

"And, activate." he said.

With that, the room was filled with red, blue, green, and purple.

"Whoa! So cool!" Ezra said excitedly.

"Builders, raise your lightsabers." Kembe said.

I lifted mine up and marveled at it.

It looks like it came straight from the movies!

"You have built a lightsaber. Like the Jedi and Sith that came before you." Kembe said.

When I deactivated mine and set it down, Yoda began speaking again.

"A lightsaber, you have built. Your path, only you can forge. May the Force be with you." he said.

"Thank you, Master Yoda. Builders, in your hands you hold remarkable power, and remarkable power should not be dropped on the ground." Kembe said.

Everyone chuckled.

"It is now time for your journey to begin, for you to make your mark on the galaxy, remember you are as unique and extraordinary as the lightsaber you have created. Who knows? Perhaps next time, we may be telling your story." Kembe said.

What he said brought a smile to my face.

"Till the spire!" he said.

"Till the spire!" the room cheered.

With that, everyone picked up their lightsabers and took their leave.

"That was so cool!" Ezra said.

"These are so much better than store-bought lightsabers." I said.

"By a landslide." Zeb said.

As we were walking, we saw two stormtroopers and in front of them was a man dressed in black, and they were heading our way.

He looks like a Lieutenant...

When they walked past us, the Lieutenant stopped and turned back. He then whispered something to one of the troopers. Then, that trooper walked up to us.

"Your presence is requested." he said, looking at me.

"What?" I said with a surprised smile.

Ezra couldn't help but laugh. I followed the trooper back to Lieutenant and stood firm as he approached me.

"Ah, I see you already know how to stand in the presence of such greatness." he said.

"Let me know when that greatness comes around." I said.

The Lieutenant huffed out a chuckle before continuing.

"I have heard that you know where the Resistance spy is," he said.

"Even if I did know, why would I waste my time telling you?" I asked.

"If not the spy, then the Resistance's base. You know where that is, don't you?"

"How would I know? Maybe I'M the Resistance spy."

The Lieutenant straightened up and smiled.

"Really? Well, then our work here is done. You will come back with us to the First Order and tell us everything you know about your friends." the Lieutenant said.

"I'd rather die than betray my friends for the likes of you. But tell you precious Supreme Leader this: he has no idea what he's got coming, for the Resistance will prevail and bring the First Order to its knees." I said.

The Lieutenant scoffed and shook his head in amusement.

"You can believe I will pass on this message, and when the First Order comes, we will bring every stormtrooper there is." the Lieutenant said.

"Trust me, you're going to need a lot more than just some measly troopers." I challenged.

The Lieutenant gave me one last smile and gestured his hand for me to go. I spun on my heel and walked back to the others.

"If you got any of that on video, please delete it." I said.

The others just laughed, and I happily joined.

"You really know how to play along." Zeb said.

"It's what I do best." I said.

"Well, after that fiasco, why not go on the Millennium Falcon ride? I heard it's really fun." Sabine said.

"Sure, why not?" Hera said.

As Sabine led the way, I saw the Millennium Falcon in the distance.

"Wow! It looks like the real deal!" I said.

"Let's see what it has in store." Ezra said.

With that, we headed inside the ride.

"I still can hardly believe Hondo was guiding us." Ezra said.

"He almost killed us." Kanan said.

"But it was cool that we were able to pilot the Millennium Falcon." I said.

"Yeah, Hera knew every switch and button like she flown the Millennium Falcon before." Sabine said.

"No one's a better pilot than me." Hera said.

"That's the truth." Zeb said.

For the rest of the day, we walked around the park, having an amazing time.

We even met Chewie, Finn, and Rey.

The sun began to set, and we all went on the Millennium Falcon ride one last time before leaving.

"What an awesome day." Ezra said.

"We're coming back next time, right?" Zeb asked.

"Definitely." Sabine and I said.

"Well, we better head back to the hotel if we want to come here tomorrow." Kanan said.

We all smiled and nodded in agreement. We then walked out of the park with smiles on our faces. I looked back at Galaxy's Edge and sighed silently.

What a Force-tastic day...

Hey everyone! Sorry I took so long to put this out. I wanted to put a random skit, and I was having trouble coming up with one. Then, this idea came around. The next part will be the same thing, but with the cast of "Star Wars Rebels" Stay tuned for that. May the Force be with You!
