A Day at Galaxy's Edge {Cast}
Hey everyone! Hope you're all having a Force-tastic day! This was something random I came up with. What if the cast of "Star Wars Rebels" went to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge?
What I would give to see them there... So, this is what would happen if "the voice of Zelara" was with them for a whole day. Now, on with the show!
"This is so exciting! I've always wanted to come here!"
Today, the cast of Star Wars Rebels was at Disney's new park; Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. It's been a long time since the cast had any free time, so they made their own free time.
"Wonder what this place has in store." Taylor said.
"Well, we're not going to know if we keep standing here." Tiya said.
"There's a lot we can do around here: ride the Millennium Falcon, make your own lightsaber, and if we're lucky, we might run into Kylo Ren," Glastine said.
"You sure know a lot about this place." Freddie said.
"YouTube. I watched so many videos about this place. But now I get to experience them with you guys."
Freddie smiled and turned to the others.
"Seriously though, what are we going to do?" he asked.
"Why not go on the Millennium Falcon ride? I heard it's really fun." Steve said.
The others nodded and turned to Vanessa.
"Millennium Falcon it is." she said.
The group smiled and made their way to the Millennium Falcon ride. Many people recognized them on the way; pictures were taken, and autographs were given. When they entered the cockpit, being the Captain Hera that she is, Vanessa sat down in the Captain's seat. Freddie sat next to her and the others sat behind her. Then, a voice they knew all too well began speaking.
"Pilot on the right, press the flashing button to take off!" Hondo Ohnaka said.
Vanessa pressed the button and we felt ourselves being propelled in the air.
"This is awesome!" Glastine cried.
With Hondo's commands, the group pressed every flashing button to get through the ride. Occasionally, they would miss some buttons by mistake.
"Press it, Taylor!" Tiya laughed.
"I'm trying!" Taylor said.
"Do or do not! There is no try!" Freddie laughed.
"Shut up, Freddie!"
The group had an amazing time on the Millennium Falcon. When they felt the ship land, the door behind them opened, and they all got up and left with wide grins on their faces.
"That was seriously so much fun!" Vanessa said.
"I watched videos of this ride, but it feels so nice to finally experience it." Glastine said.
"I know what you mean. That was crazy." Taylor sighed.
"Hondo almost killed us, though." Steve said.
"I honestly couldn't tell if he left us or betrayed us at the end." Tiya said.
The group laughed at Tiya's comment.
"So, what's next?" Freddie asked.
"Build your own lightsaber?" Glastine asked.
"I'm down. What about you guys?" Taylor asked.
The others looked at one another and nodded with smiles. The group then made their way to Savi's Workshop. When they walked inside, the man in the center of the room started speaking.
"Welcome to the workshop. Now, I know this seems a little... well, not a lot, but to us, this is everything. I see you've already met our gatherers, please introduce yourselves," he said.
"Tracy."
"Cindy."
"Oscar."
"Austin."
"And you may call me Kembe. Now, to some of you, this may look like old junk. Let me assure you... some of it is new junk."
Everyone chuckled at his joke.
"Let me explain. We humbly call ourselves the Gatherers. We search the galaxy for ancient relics, abandoned places, forgotten outposts, and battle-ravished planets, and what we find we bring it here, to the workshop," Kembe said.
"Almost like Ezra." Glastine whispered, nudging Taylor's shoulder.
He smiled and continued to listen.
"To a Stormtrooper, they see worthless clutter, but to those who know, they see priceless history, and in these troubled times, preserving our past may ensure our future. You've all heard the legend of Luke Skywalker, yes?" Kembe asked.
"Yes," the room answered.
"Very good. Well, now we hear there is another, a new Jedi. Do you know her name?"
"Rey."
"Rey! Yes! What she is leading is the spark of hope that we have been searching for for so long. And that's why you're here; to look ahead. Well, and... to build this."
He reached to his side and held up a lightsaber.
"A lightsaber. The lightsaber has been wielded by some of our greatest heroes and darkest enemies," Kembe said.
"It looks like the real deal..." Glastine said to herself.
"It is elegant, and it is an art to build a lightsaber. The saber is a reflection on its builder with the Force flowing between them... Today, you will feel that connection. But enough talk. Let's begin, shall we?"
The room began to cheer.
"We begin with perhaps the most important part of the lightsaber." Kembe said.
He then opened a small box with four colorful rocks inside.
"The kyber crystal. Able to focus the energy of the Force to magnify it," Kembe explained.
"Wow..." Taylor said.
"Some say that the kyber crystal is the heart of the lightsaber. The color of the crystal determines the color of the lightsaber as well."
When he held up the blue kyber crystal, the ceiling above us turned blue.
"The blue crystal. Like the one wielded by Obi-Wan Kenobi, his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, and now, Rey." Kembe said.
He then held up the green crystal and the ceiling turned said color.
"Green. Qui-Gon Jinn, Ahsoka Tano, Master Yoda himself, and Luke Skywalker." Kembe said.
When he held up the next crystal, the ceiling turned a violet purple.
"The violet crystal. Rare, beautiful, like the one wielded by Mace Windu." Kembe explained.
Then, Kembe held up the last crystal and the ceiling turned red.
"And, red. The color of power. The crystal of Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress, Darth Vader, and now, Kylo Ren." Kembe said.
He then placed the box down and looked up with a smile.
"But these are the stories of the past and we're here for you, our future. And now it's time to select your crystal. Everyone close your eyes. In your mind, picture your crystal. What color do you see? What color calls to you? What color is yours?" Kembe asked.
"Definitely blue. It's my favorite color." Glastine whispered to herself.
"Now, everyone, open your eyes and chose your crystal, and remember... your crystal may be choosing you." Kembe said.
When I opened my eyes, the crystals Kembe showed us were all around us.
"So, what color are you guys choosing?" Glastine asked.
"Blue." Taylor said.
"Blue as well." Freddie said.
"Same. No surprise there. Vanessa, Tiya, Steve? What about you guys?"
"If I were a Jedi, I'd go for green." Vanessa said.
"Purple." Tiya said.
"Then I'll be a Sith and take red." Steve said.
When one of the Gatherers came over, Cindy, she held out a capsule and showed us the different colors of kyber crystals.
"They look so real." Tiya said.
The others nodded in agreement.
"Now that you have selected your crystals, we will now pair crystal with the unique lightsaber design that you have chosen." Kembe said.
The Gatherers soon came out with trays and placed them in front of us.
"We will begin by building your hilt, the foundation of your lightsaber. In these boxes are the unique components of the lightsaber that you, yourselves, have chosen. In these boxes are the chassis, exhibition plates, grips, pummel caps, and emitter," Kembe explained.
"The parts look like they're out of the movies." Taylor said.
"Building a lightsaber is a journey. The Gatherers are here to help if you ever need assistance. So, are we ready?"
"Yes!" the room cried.
"Then, let's build."
With that everyone began building their lightsabers.
"Whoa, this feels like metal," Glastine said, lifting her chassis.
"That's because it is." Kembe said.
"Whoa..."
Listening to the Gatherer's instructions, the group was able to finish the hilt of our lightsabers.
"Now builders, if you have completed your hilt, I recommend you place it in your dominant hand, whether that being your left or your right."
Everyone then placed their hilt in their dominant hand.
"Start to feel how that lightsaber sits within your grasp, start to feel how your fingers rest on each component. Every lightsaber in this workshop is a unique creation." Kembe said.
Being pleased with their work, everyone set their hilts down when Kembe asked us to.
"There, nothing too crazy or traumatic happened, because why would it, which brings us to the most dangerous part of the process. Everyone, please take a big step back." Kembe said.
The room obeyed and took a big step back.
"The Gatherers will now begin stabilizing your crystals for activation. This must be done with a great deal of care, skill, and timing." Kembe said.
The Gatherers then began placing our hilts in the small sockets that were next to us. When Kembe was about to speak, the room turned green, and another voice took over.
"Yes, the lightsaber. It begins. It is time, your journey." said a familiar voice.
"Master Yoda. It is indeed time to take that first step. The bond between saber and builder is about to be forged," Kembe said.
"Awesome." Taylor said.
"In a moment on my signal, you will take a step forward and place your hand on that hilt, and we will activate for the first time. Are you ready?"
"Yes!" the room cheered.
"Now, take that step forward and place your hand on that hilt."
The room followed his instructions and did as told.
"And, activate." he said.
With that, the room was filled with red, blue, green, and purple.
"Whoa! So cool!" Glastine said excitedly.
"Builders, raise your lightsabers." Kembe said.
With that command, everyone lifted their lightsabers.
"It looks like it came straight from the movies." Tiya said.
"You have built a lightsaber. Like the Jedi and Sith that came before you." Kembe said.
When everyone deactivated their lightsabers and set them down, Yoda began speaking again.
"A lightsaber, you have built. Your path, only you can forge. May the Force be with you." he said.
"Thank you, Master Yoda. Builders, in your hands you hold remarkable power, and remarkable power should not be dropped on the ground." Kembe said.
Everyone chuckled.
"It is now time for your journey to begin, for you to make your mark on the galaxy, remember you are as unique and extraordinary as the lightsaber you have created. Who knows? Perhaps next time, we may be telling your story." Kembe said.
What he said brought a smile to everyone's face.
"Till the spire!" he said.
"Till the spire!" the room cheered.
With that, everyone picked up their lightsabers and took their leave.
"Okay, that was cool." Vanessa said.
"I can't believe Yoda was talking to us." Glastine said.
"The last time I've seen him was when we were at the Jedi temple back on Lothal." Taylor said.
They all laughed at Taylor's joke. As the group was walking, they saw Kylo Ren in the distance.
"So that's Vader's grandson. Doesn't look like much." Steve said.
"We could take him." Taylor said.
"Obviously. But he wouldn't be much of a challenge for the likes of us." Freddie said.
"Your Kanan is showing, Freddie." Glastine said.
The group laughed as Kylo Ren drew closer to them. Kylo Ren then stopped in front of them.
"Conversing about your Resistance base location?" he asked.
"What? No, of course not." Tiya said.
"I can tell when you're lying..."
Tiya couldn't help but laugh.
"Do you know the whereabouts of the Resistance spy?" Kylo Ren asked.
"Even if we did, why would we tell you?" Vanessa asked.
"Because it may just save your very lives."
"Sorry, but we would rather die than give up what we know." Steve said.
"That can be arranged."
"Good luck with that." Glastine said.
After Glastine's remark, Kylo Ren took his leave.
"Well, that was fun." Glastine said.
The group then burst into laughter.
"So, what should we do now?" Steve asked.
"There's this ride called Rise of the Resistance. I've heard it's really fun." Vanessa said.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Taylor said.
The group followed Taylor until they reached their designated destination. They walked inside and were amazed at what they saw. Hundreds of stormtroopers, General Hux, and Kylo Ren.
"This is so cool." Glastine said.
They were then led into a room where there were small transports with black droids on them. When the ride began, they slid around the entire ship, listening to Finn's voice. They even encountered stormtroopers and AT-AT walkers. Soon after, Kylo Ren made his big appearance.
"There's no escape! You will tell me the location of your secret base! And then, I will destroy you, and the Resistance!" he said.
Kylo Ren was then swept away into space due to the giant hole a torpedo had made.
"Sorry not sorry, Kylo!" Glastine laughed.
When the transports made it into the escape pods, gravity disappeared, and the group began falling. Freddie and Taylor let out surprised screams. Soon after, everyone made it back to the Resistance base, safe and sound.
"That was insane!" Tiya said.
"But it was fun!" Steve said.
The others agreed and walked around the park, meeting Rey, Chewie, and Finn along the way. Night began to fall on Galaxy's Edge, and the group started making their way to the exit.
"What an amazing day." Freddie said.
"Totally." Tiya said.
"We're definitely bringing David, Bradley, and Ashley the next time we come here." Taylor said.
"And I know they wouldn't say no." Glastine said.
With smiles on their faces, the Star Wars Rebels gang left Galaxy's Edge but kept the memories they made together in their hearts.
Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed this part. I didn't put any videos since it's kind of the same thing like the last part. Suggestions are forever and always welcomed and appreciated. May the Force be with You!
