Results (ongoing)
The time has come! Here is where all the results, for all genres, will be posted. I'll be updating this chapter as I get the results in and sort them all out. I apologise if your genre is still waiting.
Reviews for first and second place books will come separately later on.
If you're named as placing here, then I will be private messaging you with your sticker - it isn't much, but yes, stickers exist. I'm going to remove the interview prize for first place, I'm afraid, but the wolf magic is still up for grabs.
ACTION/ADVENTURE

Thank you to the judge - it was really helpful to have everything in one go, clear and succinct.

FANTASY
Judge: SpruceWolf
It took me far too long to judge all of these books, but I did it, finally. I probably should have thought about it a little more. But I did enjoy reading a lot of these fantasy books, and I'm delighted to announce the results!
They were less close than some of the other genres. There were some books that just missed out on placing - with a tied fourth place, just one point below third - but scores were all quite high. Good job, everyone!

POETRY
Judge: likemealfa
Thank you to a good, helpful judge. Since I'm completely hopeless in this genre, it's really good to have someone else I can rely on.
An even tighter genre! Congratulations to all poetry participants, but an extra special well done to these five poets. I think you're awesome for being able to write such beautiful poetry.

SCIENCE FICTION
Judge: Orangutan101
Thank you to a great judge. Results in on time, with no problems.
I find it quite funny that these three books are also animal-related books. Clearly we really are the best. Though your judge tells me that your books were all very good, so I shouldn't be bias.
Third place:
Title: OUTWORLD: Sun Dogs
Author: VincentJSomers
Second place:
Title: Ouroboros
Author: Sandcat-
First place:
Title: To Catch A Glimpse

BONUS: ANIMAL FICTION
Judge: SpruceWolf
You guys are special. Since there are only five of you, and you're super-awesome animal writers, I'm going to give you all a review. I'll also urge you to join the Fur and Feathers book club, if you haven't already. Because it's fun and your books are all amazing.
However, here are the placings. To be honest, any one of these books could have won. It was an incredibly difficult decision.
Third place:
Title: Frost on the Grasslands
Author: SmokeAndOranges
Score: 41/50
Second place:
Title: The Dragon Queen's Heir
Author:
Score: 42/50
First place:
Title: Ouroboros
Author: Sandcat-
Score: 43/50
And that's that! I hope you enjoyed the awards, however thrown together they were. I'm probably going to try to do another contest in the summer, more refined and structured, based off my experience with this one.
Feel free to stick around the Fur and Feathers world. We have the book club for animal writers, as well as a regularly-updated book full of prompts (which are all animal related, but could make for a fun writing challenge for anyone). I'm also thinking about putting together an animal writing help book, to spread the furry and feathery joy.
Thanks for joining me for The Wolf Awards! Reviews for winners will be out shortly. Hopefully I'll see you again!
