-----------------------------------------------------------
After a Few Minutes of Waiting, A Sudden knock on the Door startled Lycaon.
The Wolf Thiren Butler called out to the person behind the door to enter, not moving from his spot on the King Sized Bed.
Wise's Head popped out from behind the door with a curious expression, His eyes plastered at the Wolf's Noticeable Shivering Physique.
"You Called me, Lycaon?" Wise Asked the Wolf Butler in a curious tone.
The Wolf Thiren Butler's head Perked up in response to Phaethon's voice and nodded, clearing his throat nervously.
"Yes, Master Proxy. Please, Sit." The Wolf Thiren Said, patting the spot on the bed next to him.
Wise Could clearly see a Faint Blush on Lycaon's face but ultimately decided to brush it off.
The Mortal walked over to the bed before slowly sitting down and scooted close to Lycaon, yet not too close for their bodies to touch.
Both of them sat in silence for quite some time, The Rain outside beginning to worsen as the time went on.
Suddenly, The Wolf Butler began to speak.
"I don't have the best. . . Opinions for storms like this-"
A sudden burst of thunder made Lycaon Shiver from his spot, his eyes immediately leaving the sigh of the window and was now plastered to Phaethon.
"I-It's Pathetic, Isn't it..?"
Wise stared back at Lycaon with a small understanding smile, Reaching his hand out.
He Hesitated to place that hand on his Thigh, To try and comfort the Wolf Thiren Butler, But ultimately decided to keep his hands to himself in order to maintain a respectful relationship and not invade the Wolf's personal Space.
"It's not Pathetic, Lycaon. It's just being Human."
Wise answered back with a small smile, Gently placing his hand on the Wolf's back.
The large wolf man, who was supposed to be the cold and professional butler, flinched at Wise's touch, and he slowly looked over at him.
He didn't speak for a few moments as he stared at Wise quietly. He seemed to be processing something in his head. But then, he slowly relaxed under the Mortal's touch as he leaned back against the pillows.
"I know, Master Proxy. I'm. . . Just not good at being Emotional."
Another roll for thunder resounded out as The Wolf's let out a small and Pathetic sounding Whimper, Scooting closer to Wise.
A Pained and Nervous expression was plastered on the Wolf Thiren's Face, His Breathing Shaky.
Wise could see the Wolf's Ears droop down and stay plastered, as if not wanting to hear the Loud roaring thunder emanating outside.
As Wise continued to rest his hand on the Butler's Back, The Large Wolf Thiren swallowed thickly and spoke in a voice that seemed to be laced with shame.
"But. . . You can stay for the Night, Wouldn't you, Master Proxy?"
Wise Nodded to Lycaon's question as Another Burst of thunder made him Whimper and Shiver once Again.
Who Knew that some thunder was enough to scare this Large Wolf Man into a Puppy.
Noticing how The Wolf Thiren Continued to Shiver, Wise chuckled softly and hesitated to speak.
"I, Uh.."
The Wolf Thiren looked at Wise.
"How About...You rest your head on me? My Lap is free, After All. I could also Pet you, To Soothe you." Wise said, Mentally face slapping himself.
The Wolf looked like he was about to object and decline politely until another Burst of thunder soared outside, Making him Whimper loudly this time.
The Wolf Thiren Gulped and Nodded.
Another roll of thunder sounded outside, and despite how embarrassed he was about making such. . .unprofessional and needy requests, he swallowed his pride. He needed comfort after being jumpy and nervous the entire time the storm had been raging on.
The wolf gently nods and slowly moves to lay down, resting his head on Phaethon's lap and staring up at you with a guilty and sheepish expression.
". . .Is this. . .acceptable, Master Proxy. . .?"
Wise Looked down at The Wolf Thiren and Nodded slowly, Trying to push back The sudden blush that was trying to creep up on his cheeks.
He Hesitantly Placed a hand on the Wolf's Head and began to pet Him gently and Soothingly.
The Wolf's Fur was So Soft and Fluffy.
As Wise Continued to gently pet the large wolf butler laid on His lap, The Wolf Thiren slowly closed his eyes and relaxed.
The storm outside made him uneasy and uncomfortable, but your soothing voice and the feeling of Wise petting him was enough to make him completely forget that the nasty weather is outside.
With a soft sigh, he nuzzled his head against Phaethon's palm and rested one of his clawed hands on Wise's thighs, just wanting to hold onto something. Like a child would clutch to their caregiver during a storm.
The wolf man sighed softly again as The Mortal continued to pet him. A small smile formed on his lips, and the grip he had on Wise's thigh tightened slightly. The large butler had no idea how much he needed this until now. Sure, being professional and tough was how he was supposed to act, but around Phaethon? he seemed to let his guard down. He was just enjoying the comfort and attention.
Another peal of thunder sounded outside, and as usual, Lycaon flinched and whimpered quietly.
Wise Noticed this and Immediately tried Comforting the Wolf, His eyes plastered on the Wolf's figure.
"Hey, Hey, It's alright Lycaon. . ."
Wise said with a small, warm smile, continuing to soothe the Wolf Thiren.
Another whimper came from the large canine as another rolling wave of thunder sounded outside. Though he slowly began to relax as Phaethon continued to gently pet him, almost like some big puppy.
This was not the serious and cold butler that he always acted like.
Another boom of loud thunder caused his eyes to widen with fear for a brief second as he gripped onto Wise tightly, clearly scared of a thundering storm. He was glad Phaethon was here to comfort him, that's for sure.
The canine man was practically glued to Wise's lap at this point, and his grip on the Man's leg was now quite firm, almost like he was afraid of letting go. He was usually quite strong and tough, but a storm managed to reduce him to this. A somewhat clingy wolf man who just wanted to be soothed and comforted.
The Wolf Thiren's face looked ashamed as he rested his cheek against Wise's lap. He was never one to show this much vulnerability and fear in front of others. . . But Wise managed to get him to. Why? Did he trust Phaethon just that much?. . .
Wise, On the Other Hand, Enjoyed The Wolf's Company. He Continued to rest there with the Wolf Thiren's Head on his lap, His back resting snugly against the Pillows of the bed.
Out Of the Corner of his Eye, He could clearly see the Wolf's tail swish back and forth, But ultimately decided to ignore it.
Another burst of thunder came from outside the window, and the Wolf Thiren flinched in response. However, he was too distracted by Wise's hand gently petting his head to really get too worried or scared. He slowly inhaled and exhaled, and in a shaky and slightly strained voice, he spoke up while nuzzling his head against Wise's thighs.
"T-thank you. . . for this. . . i'm sorry if I'm acting so pathetic. . . y-you are too kind to deal with me like this.."
Wise Looked back down and tried to hold back a shiver as He felt The Wolf's Head nuzzle against his Thigh.
He took a deep breath and smiled.
"Lycaon, You don't need to thank me. We Can Just sit here and Be like this the entire night, If you want."
Wise added that last part to save the sentence. He didn't want Lycaon to be weirded out.
Lycaon, Not seemingly catching on, Nodded at Wise's Proposition and Continued to Nuzzle his head against Phaethon's Thighs.
The Two of them Just sat there, Appreciating the Moment as the Stroke continued to rage outside.
Yet, Lycaon doesn't seem to Mind the storm anymore. He Doesn't seem to mind the Thunder as well
He Just appreciates the Company That Phaethon has given him.
No, Wise
He Appreciates the Company Wise has Given Him.
