I woke to a bouncing HollyWhisp, she was prodding my side with her paw.
"Come on wake up, you promised," she said bouncing about.
"I checked with the alpha before I told you, let's go before you wake up the pack," I said, we got to a hill. We managed to climb it, when we got to the top it was midnight.
"Wow this is so pretty," HollyWhisp said her face that of surprise, I sat facing the direction the moon would set.
"You ready?" I asked.
"Of course I am," HollyWhisp said, she sat beside me. I howled, my howl was sweet and kind. It was as though I was the moon, I felt as though I belonged with the moon and the stars. My howl caused the northern lights to appear, I stopped to take a few breaths and saw HollyWhisp's face was that of awe. I kept on howling and the stars started to move, they moved into the shape of howling wolves. I felt the power of my ancestors run through me, it felt as though they were howling with me. HollyWhisp joined in, together we made the forest sound alive. Our ancestors howled alongside us, when we finished howling the forest went quiet again and the stars went back to their normal places.
"That's what happens when I howl," I said.
"That was so cool, we better get back though," HollyWhisp said, we went down the mountain quicker then we went up. I went back to my spot at the packs main den, I lay down and fell asleep.
