The Wizard Trials

"The Wizard... what?" I asked.

"What is that?" Spencer asked.

"The Wizard Trials was a game you, the others, and I used to play all the time when we were little." Rokai explained.

Spencer and I looked at each other with confused faces.

"What are the trials?" I asked.

"Water, fire, earth, air, light, dark, and a special trial at the end of the other six. Your sister, Clara, will be there at the at the water trial at the Aquarian Ocean. Your brother, Jedidiah, will be awaiting your arrival, at the fire trial at the Ashburn Volcano. Your brother, Yukiya, will be at the earth trial at the Wandering Woods. Your sister, Farcilia, will be at the wind trial at the Nimbus Forest. Your sister, Stella, will be awaiting your arrival at the light trial at Dazzle Cave. Your brother, Crolick, will be awaiting your arrival at the dark trial at Grimwood Cemetery," Rokai explained.

"What about the last trial?"

"You'll just have to wait and see."

"What is each trial about anyway?" Spencer asked.

"In the water trial, you'll be tested on your knowledge, and go across the Aquarian Ocean to find the Shannon Pearl Gem. In the fire trial, you'll be tested on your courageousness, and find the Dragon's Eye in the depths of the Ashburn Volcano. In the earth trial, your confidence will be tested, and must venture through the Wandering Woods to find a Crystal Gardenia flower. In the wind trial, your endurance will be tested, and you'll have to endure the hellish winds of the Nimbus Forest to find the Cyclone Crystals. In the light trial, you'll be tested on your determination, and must find your way through Dazzle Cave to find the Sun Star Diamond. In the dark trial, you'll be tested on your bravery, and show no fear as you look for the Shadow Skull in the Grimwood Cemetery."

Spencer and I looked at each other with dumbfounded faces.

"And the last trial?" I asked.

"I can't tell you want you must do, but I can say this. You will be tested on your conscientiousness." Rokai said.

I took at deep breath and nodded firmly.

"Alright, I accept the challenge. I'll take on the Wizard Trials. Maybe... maybe these places will get my memory going, and I can remember who I was... or, who I am," I said.

"Splendid! Your confidence never changed one bit, Allegra," Rokai said.

"Okay, until I come back and pass the trials, only then can you start calling me Allegra. For now, please, call me Courtney, okay?"

"Deal."

I smiled and nodded.

"Oh, I almost forgot," Rokai said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Only the true Allegra will know the answer to this... what does magic mean to you?"

I stared at him, a faint blush of embarrassment rose to my cheeks.

"To me... magic means... I don't know. The question sounds familiar, but I don't think I've ever had an answer," I said.

"My point exactly. Allegra was never able to answer that question. She would always watch us cast spells, both good and bad, to see if she could answer that question," Rokai explained.

"Well, I hope after these Wizard Trials I'll be able to answer it."

"Only time will tell..."

Rokai tapped his scepter on the ground, and we were back home. When I turned around, Rokai was gone. In his place was a small, clear, blue bottle.

I guess the trials have started...
