The Final Fight
Geralt woke up early and left Lillian, hoping she wouldn't get mad at him. He also grabbed her armor and her husband's witcher amulet in hopes seeing it would brake the final line on the spell. Geralt left the armor out in the hallway, so Lillian had no choice but to look at it when she passed by.
"Good morning, you are up early," Yennefer said as he nodded.
"Trying to break her course," Geralt responded as Jaskier went outside but immediately went back in and shut the door.
"Um, Geralt, you didn't happen to tell people where you were going, did you?" Jaskier asked as Geralt looked outside to see people on horseback heading this way.
"Fuck, they could have put a spell on this land," Geralt informed.
"Wait, she helped you escape that one wizard! They may have got a message out before Lillian killed him," Yennefer informed.
"Or killing him gave them a way to track Lillian down. Keep her safe; she is still under her curse. Whatever Lillian is, they are willing to go to extreme lengths to kill her," Geralt said as he grabbed his sword and Yennefer followed close behind him.
"Are you insane? Fighting all those wizards by yourselves!" Jaskier yelled as he went to go wake up Lillian.
The horseback riders stopped as they saw Geralt and Yennefer standing outside, ready to fight. The men didn't seem too worried about them, making Yen nervous. They had a small army while Geralt and Yen were the only ones able to fight and protect Lillian
"Witcher! Where is the foul beast that you harbor? He is dangerous and needs to be killed unless you killed him already?!" The leading horseman asked.
"They think Jaskier is the monster? They killed her husband thinking he was the one they were after, but he was just a witcher," Yennefer informed.
"Why would I hand him over? He had a family. You murdered all of them in cold blood," Geralt informed as the men in the red hood pulled down their hoods to show the scorch marks on their faces.
"He isn't even a human witcher, a family, please. Turn him over now, or he will kill you and take him by force. Either way, you all have to die," he informed.
"What did he ever do to you?!" Yennefer asked angrily.
"It is said that a monster of fierce powers and might will stop the Flame from reaching his desired goal. Destiny must not be changed! We will rise above all of you, above everyone, until we rule this land with an iron fist and destroy all who oppose our ways!" He growled.
"Lillian, don't go outside alright, not yet," Jaskier informed as they could hear a battle starting outside.
Terror filled Lillian's heart, but she had to help them! She had powers, so she had to use them now, or Geralt and Yennefer would die.
"We can't leave them there to die!" Lillian informed as Jaskier was now trying to pull her to the back door.
"They are after you, and we don't know why! So until we know why we run!" He informed as she got free from his grip with a swift yank.
He paused as he saw the look in her eyes as she saw her old armor hanging on a post next to Anatol's swords that were standing up and leaning on the wall. She went to it and touched her armor as her hair turned white as snow. Lillian was finally free of the curse, and now they were going to see Lillian's true power.
"I'm not letting him die like my family did, Jaskier. I have a score to settle with them; please, when I go out there, take them and run if you can," Lillian informed as she started putting on her armor over her clothes quickly.
"Lillian?" Jaskier asked as she grabbed her dead husband's sword and chopped off her long white hair until it was just three inches away from the middle of her back.
"Do you wish to know what I truly am?" She asked as Yennefer and Geralt were defeated and forced to kneel on the ground.
"Where is the beast?" The man asked as Geralt smiled.
"Far, far, away by now if I had to guess," Geralt smiled as Lillian stepped out of the house with her hair blond again.
"You are trespassing on this land," she informed as Yennefer and Geralt looked at her, shocked.
Geralt was hoping that she wouldn't do anything stupid, but there she was, pretending to be strong and brave like a real warrior. Lillian even cut her hair and put it in a braid to add to her new look. Geralt was going to kill her if they didn't kill her first.
"You are harboring a beast that needs to be killed!" The man informed as she smiled.
"Man? Do you think the beast you have been searching for is a man? Try women; also, I suggest you let them go. If you don't, that's also fine; you will all end up dead just the same," Lillian informed as the men chucked.
"You are in no possession to threaten us. You don't even look like you would last five seconds in a fight!" One man laughed.
"I know; my husband said after I killed three Gargoyles to save his life before we were married. He had scars on his face from those things. Luckily for me, I was there, so I suggest you run," she smiled as her eyes turned blood red, making them scoff.
She then used her powers to make three men explode like grapes making them shocked. Her eyes turned black to gold and then back to normal. Geralt could feel her powers now, and for once, he was terrified to make her mad. She got into a fighting stance and could hear her steady heartbeat as she was waiting for them to make their move on her. Anatol didn't just marry a tiny, helpless woman but a warrior as fierce as he was.
"You murders don't deserve to walk on this earth; the last one still standing will get a fate worse than death," she informed.
"What are you?!" One man yelled.
"I'm a witch, a witcher, and a dragon! Protector of the weak, butcher of the evil, and the sole survivor of my family!" She yelled as she turned into a massive white dragon that had the fazes of the moon across her face.
She let out a fierce roar scaring the men in the red hoods. She took flight and released fire on them. They started shielding themselves while some couldn't do it fast enough and got burned quickly. She turned back into her human form. Her hair was now white as she landed on the battlefield and used her magic and her swords to break the shields and start killing them ruthlessly. It was happening so fast that Geralt could barely keep up with her movements.
"Oh my god!" Yennefer said softly as she was plowing them down like they were nothing.
She chucked one man into the air and turned into a dragon again. She opened her mouth wide and ate the man like he was a snack before landing on the ground again. Lillian was covered in blood, and the battle only lasted at most five minutes before she turned back to normal. The leader crawled onto the ground, trying to get away from her, and she smiled as she held on to him.
"You murdered my family, my sons, my daughters, my grandchildren, and children that weren't yet born all to get to me. I spared you, so you will remember what you did and feel what I have felt for one hundred years. All the pain they went through, all of my pain, and now your people's pain. I made my magic, so you know I'm the only one that can fix this curse," she informed as she drew on him in his blood and then set it on fire.
He screamed as she tossed him to the ground.
"You will never be able to use your magic again; you will never be able to kill yourself or others with weapons or anything that can harm you. Others will not kill you by any means, and you will not be able to starve yourself to death. You will live with this pain as long as you live, and no matter how long you live, it will get worse until you die a natural death. You wanted to kill me so badly; you should have checked under the body of my dear beloved. You messed with the wrong beast, and I will never let anyone get away with that again. Run and tell them you failed. I dare you to go after me again," she hissed as she spat on him and then looked at Geralt.
"Are you two alright?" She asked as Yen nodded.
"Good... I'm sorry I brought you into this. I never thought someone would love me again, so I thought the world would be safe from me. I was wrong," she informed.
"Wait, that spell is?" Yennefer asked.
"Only love could break this curse, but I made sure I had to be in love too. I should go; I don't want you to get hurt because of me again," she informed as Geralt stood up.
"Lillian... you shouldn't go anywhere," Geralt informed as she looked down at the ground.
"I got my family all killed," she said.
"You didn't do anything wrong, you wanted to be happy, and you were happy. Whatever is after you is after the world, and we need help stopping it so it doesn't happen again to anyone else; we could always use your help," he informed as she smiled weakly.
"I would like to kill whoever tried to kill me. I may be tired of fighting, but if it's to save the people of this world, fine, I will do anything," she smiled.
Ten years later...
Geralt and Lillian, we're covered in blood and dirt. They just escaped from the corpse-eating monsters, and we're in a wagon heading to a man's house. They saved his life, but Geralt got bit in the process, and Lillian already had used a lot of her magic to get away from the creatures.
Once they got there, Geralt heard the man's wife speak of a girl that came to her.
"Geralt, you think that's Ciri?" Lillian asked, helping Geralt up and out of the wagon.
"Has to be; I was told Ciri was going to be in the woods somewhere when we met," Geralt informed as they hurried to the woods.
"Don't push yourself too hard; your leg isn't fully healed yet," Lillian informed as they walked into the woods.
"We need to find her; my leg will be fine. Ciri won't be if we don't see her soon," Geralt informed.
"Ciri!" Lillian yelled.
"Ciri!" Geralt yelled, and they waited, but no response.
"I hope to God we aren't too late to get Ciri," she informed.
Then Lillian saw Ciri's long blond hair and Ciri running to them quickly. Lillian smiled at Geralt as Ciri hugged him.
"Hello, Ciri; I'm Geralt's wife. It's nice to finally meet the child surprise I heard so much about recently." Lillian smiled as Ciri looked at her oddly.
"I never heard he had a wife," Ciri informed.
"Well, im here to change destiny; who says we have to go by its rules?" She asked as she smiled at Ciri and hugged her tightly.
Is it the end for now, or is it just the beginning?
