Over A year
For the first three months, they followed her book but to no prevail. They hunted monsters along the way, and it killed some time, but he didn't find any leads on Lillian. She was gone; if anything, by now, she was dead. He didn't know if he was happy or angry or anything. It felt like he had lost something he didn't think he needed. He should have never left her alone, but he did. It was eating him up inside, and everything he saw, purple flowers reminded him of the flowers that were in her hair the day they also met her bright, happy smile. She wasn't like other girls, and he fed her to the wolves without even thinking about it.
The three months, Lillian was sold to work in a coal mine, and she almost died in an explosion the first month she was there. Lillian helped fix people up and tried her best to keep people alive by healing them and making sure they were taken care of properly. She finally killed her master and his friends when she tainted the water they were drinking with poison and watched them die with a cold smile on her face. She wasn't a killer, but now she had to be to save people from being killed because they were just a bit different or they were too poor to help themselves. She got recaptured within three days after freeing all the enslaved people but kept fighting for her freedom. She was resold, and she killed her new master the day after he tried to rape her because she was a virgin.
For six months, Geralt was fighting monsters, and Jaskier almost forgot about Lillian entirely while he was singing and sleeping around. Gestalt still looked for her but had given up almost entirely by this point. He was now trying to forget her and hoped to god she was, in fact, dead. He still took peaks at the books she drew in. He tried not to, but he sometimes still dreamed of Danny yelling at her and him doing nobody. He sometimes even dreamed of the hug she gave him before he left her to die. The guilt still reminded them, and he wished he had done something, anything.
The six months, Lillian was beaten after protecting a pregnant enslaved woman. She was helping the woman in whore houses give birth and helped take care of the children, but the master she had was now trying to sell the kids for money. Lillian hated how her master got an enslaved woman pregnant, and now he was trying to hurt both of them. She had been here for a month, but she was done with him. She grabbed the man's hand as he was about to slap her again, and she punched him hard in the face knocking him down to the ground.
She had been beaten and torched for so long that she lost a lot of her humanity regarding the men that owned her. When he tried getting up, she put him in a choke hold and snapped his neck. He was the fifteenth master she killed to be free at last. She always kept escaping, but the mark on her arm kept giving her away, causing her to kill more and more people. She started to enjoy killing the abusive masters that had her. After twenty years, why not more?
At one year, Jaskier was somehow still following him around, and he almost completely forgot her. Geralt vaguely remembered her, and he went on as if nothing happened, and today was no different for him. He was sleeping with a whore and was happy with his life. All the names started to sound the same to him, and he lost interest in knowing all the women's names he slept with. He was now trying to enjoy an ale at the inn he was staying in.
Lillian had been fighting the man that bought her to the bedroom that he had locked her in. She had been sold to a whore house because she was still a virgin. Lillian was tied to a bed, but after a couple of minutes of work, her wrist was bloody and was going to break free. A man came into her room, and she started fighting harder.
"Well, look at you, so beautiful," the man said as he started to unbutton his pants, and he got on top of her and lifted her dress.
She broke free and grabbed the candle next to the bed and shoved it in his face making him scream in pain. She kicked him off and quickly ran out of the whore house.
"You bitch I will kill you!" He screamed in anger as she ran threw the village quickly.
"I know a man that can fix your problem," Jaskier said with a smile as Lillian accidentally knocked Jaskier down.
"Well, hello, beautiful," Jaskier said as the man that bought her was looking for her then spotted her.
"Get that whore!" He screamed as Jaskier tried grabbing her to help her, but she punched him hard before getting up and running off into the woods.
"Ow! That bitch to punched me!" Jaskier growled and was annoyed.
"Did you see a witcher was here?!" The man asked angrily.
"Yes, why?" He asked as he rubbed his jaw.
"Take me to him; I have a job for him," he said as Jaskier pointed to Geralt, who was drinking ale.
The man walked over to him and dropped six hundred coins next to him.
"My whore just escaped into the woods; I bought her today and paid nine hundred coins for her. She is a virgin, and she injured her first customer," he informed.
"Did she consent to have him touch her?" Geralt asked.
"Does it matter?!" He asked.
"So the man tried to rape her; I'm not interested in helping you," he said as he remembered Lillian for a second.
"I'm paying you six hundred coins for her return, and you are saying no?" He asked offered.
"I don't need your coin," Geralt said.
"The girl is a virgin, and she doesn't age! Do you know how rare that is?!" He asked as Geralt paused.
"What's her name?" Geralt asked.
"What?" The man asked.
"What is her name?" He asked again.
"Who cares? It might have started with an L or a J; I don't remember her name. But she has blond hair and the most stunning blue eyes," he informed.
"You can keep your coin; the slave you have is a friend of mine," he said as the man drained of color.
"You can't have her! She is my slave!" He screamed as Geralt got up and picked him up.
Geralt threw the table and looked at him with pure rage in his eyes.
"Not anymore; if you have a problem with it, you will have to kill me to get to her. Forget you even saw her; she is under my protection," Geralt snarled as he quickly left to find Lillian
"Geralt, that man's whore punched me in the fucking face!" Jaskier complained, making him stop in his tracks for a second.
Lillian was kind and wouldn't hurt anyone because she was afraid to. She would have hit him if getting caught; it could have meant her life. But she put up with abuse; he hoped it was still Lillian and not some other girl even if she changed.
"It was Lillian who punched you; she is alive, Jaskier, and we need to find her before she gets captured and sold off again," he informed as Jaskier looked at him, confused.
"Who's Lillian?" He asked as he rubbed his face.
Geralt quickly got on his Roach and promptly headed into the woods. He hoped she went in them anyway; if he tried to run, he would lead for them too. He rode for a couple of minutes until he saw a girl trying to catch her breath. She looked like Lillian, but she was different.
"Lillian?" He asked as he got off Roach, and she looked up at him, terrified.
"I'm not going to be a slave again, witcher; you are going to have to kill me," she informed as she took off running.
"Lillian, I'm not here to hurt you!" Geralt yelled as he quickly ran after her and tackled her.
She seemed a lot stronger than she used to be, or she was always this strong but never used her full strength before. She head-butted and punched him as hard as possible before kicking him off her. She stole one of his knives and got on top of him so she could kill him.
"Lillian, I'm not here to hurt you; I want to help you," he said as she held the knife to his throat.
"Sure, I will let you help me! You think I'm a stupid slave but let me tell you something I killed a hundred people this year so I could be free! All of them were men that were cruel to their slaves, and I killed some with position and some with my bare hands," she growled as Geralt looked at her, shocked.
"Lillian, you helped me last year, remember?" He asked.
"I didn't help anyone of your kind last year!" She growled as he was waiting for her to calm down.
"So bested a witcher, you sorry excuse for an enslaved person! I'm going to beat you within every inch of your life!" He screamed as she saw her master in the corner of her eye.
"Good luck doing that when you're dead!" She yelled as she threw the knife at him but only got him in the shoulder.
He screamed, and Lillian took off running again.
"Lillian! It's Geralt!" He yelled as he chased after her again.
He stopped as soon as she was near the end of a cliff, and panic filled him.
"I don't know anyone by that name!" She hissed.
"You know me, Lillian, I know you haven't seen me all year, but I have been looking everywhere for you. I thought you were dead," he said as she looked over the cliff.
"Well, I'm going to be; I'm not being a slave again!" She yelled.
"You called Jaskier Dandelion because he thought he couldn't take a punch, and you called me the shy wolf. You said I was the shy wolf because I didn't want to get close to anyone, but you tried anyway. I have been looking for you all fucking year Lillian! I gave up looking for you. I admit that t and shouldn't have. I'm sorry, Lillian; I should have never blamed you for being a slave or fucking leaving you at Danny's mansion," he informed as she paused for a second.
"Geralt?! I forgot what you looked like! I. Sorry I almost killed you!" She said as he walked closer to her and grabbed her by her arm to lead her away from the cliff.
"A lot of people almost kill me, your not the first or the last," he said as she looked like she was going to cry.
She was finally safe after fighting for her freedom and saving other enslaved people in the same spot she was in. She thought she would have to be dead to be free, but she was wrong.
"You are going to be fine, Lillian," he said as she started to cry.
She hugged him tightly, not knowing that someone cared about her enough to look for her. She thought she was all alone, but she wasn't, thankfully. She was so tired of fighting and running that all she wanted was to rest and have a good night's sleep for once.
"I'm going to have to see if I can burn that mark off of you, so you don't get retaken," he informed as she nodded.
"I thought I didn't have anyone looking for me; I'm so tired," she said softly as she finally felt safe for the first time in a long time.
"What happened since the last time I saw you?" He asked.
"A lot, too much. It will take days to tell you everything," she sighed weakly as they went to the man that chased her, and he looked pissed off.
"Try touching her again, and I will kill you. She is under my protection now," he growled as he wasn't just going to let his money walk away.
"Do you know how much I paid for her?!" He screamed.
"Not enough; leave her alone, or your arm will be the least of your problems," he hissed.
Lillian punched the man hard in the face knocking him out, and Geralt looked at her, shocked.
"He needed that," she informed.
